Waited 30 mins for bacon on toast terrible service and just ok food

Went for lunch today and ordered 2 ciabatta with side salad. One was ham and cheese to be told there was no cheese, fine can't help supply issues. Asked could we add onion to be told no the chef doesn't like to add things on!! As they came with side salad assumed we could grab some from there but no the salad was a joke- a couple of dry leaves and some bright purple coleslaw which was so salty it was inedible. The cafe is dirty, tired and in need of a deep clean from the sticky tables to the mould in the conservatory. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

Soup was lovely even though we were forgotten about and had to ask after 30 minutes. Our order then came without the bread and butter we ordered with it, upon asking the server a young girl she brought it and told us that bread and butter isn't included in a very rude way. On leaving we showed the server the receipt showing we paid for bread and butter to be met with no apology just an eye roll and a look of disgust. The good food was let down by this server who needs some serious customer service training.

Had lunch here on Thursday 15th June 2023. Is was the worst omelette I have ever had. . It was small flat, over done and I was struggling to cut it. Left most of it. Fortunately the chips were good . May I add that last year in August I had the same order and it was excellent.

Quiche , pastry uncooked. Nice staff but can’t cook.

Food out of this world! Hard to believe its just a cafe, given the taste and size of the menu! Clearly a very skilled chef!

Called today ordered 2 meals. Both meals which were sausage egg chips and peas and roast beef and onion baguette can only be described as unbelievably bad. Sausage on 1st meal came black chips lukewarm. Baguette on 2nd meal felt hard had to remove beef to eat and that was dry and cold as were the cooked onion and again lukewarm chips. Definatley not to be recommended certainly wont repeat this experience.
