Always enjoy, a meal in Mayhek, all the staff are amazing. Food always good, chops were a bit dry this time, hence only 4 stars. Never had a bad meal, here. Paul

First and last time to this place chicken boona was disgusting it had a rancid after taste like it was reheated rice was the same it arrived luke warm and was not fresh tasting awful food and my friends Vindaloo was no better after a long wait the food was arwful and the waiter saying Shapla gets cheap meat was so unprofessional and classless and tacky he had no shame! Sorry but there are much better curry places to eat at and sadly this is not one

Got scammed by this lot on the 7th July 2024 agreed to cancel on the telephone yet I still got billed on Just Eat website

They say they are open from 5, but they aren't. I spent 2 hours walking down here, to face a shut door. Well done. Update from a few months later: I'm here again, it's 5:10 and they are closed. A note to the owner: if you don't open at 5pm, don't say you do. It's obvious, and simple isn't it?

Would not recommend!!! Absolutely terrible service 👎 accepted my order only to cancel an hour later. Never ordering here again.

Such a worst experience,chicken is not cooked well.they used rotten tomatoes in the curry and I got lamb instead of chicken when I ordered other curry.When I had it resulted in diarrhoea.Too expensive as well.not at all worth for money ..poor hygiene methods in cooking results in stomach upset..not at all fresh food..not at all recommended..such a bad experience..will not recommend to anyone.First of all,this is not an Indian restaurant,it is a Bangladeshi restaurant..they are just making money with the name of Indian ...most of the dishes are not proper ones...terrible experience..

Bustling with humans noshing, aromas aromaring and meat sizzling, we wondered if we’d get a table. There was still a table for a teddy bear and his crazy human mummy! Warm ambient lighting with colourful mosaic lightshades, try to bring peace to the loudness of the busy restaurant. Service was reasonably fast despite the business. Mummy was happy to have a large napkin that properly covered her lap. A portion of silky Paneer Malai Kofta, lightly spiced Mushroom Fried Rice and a soft Peshwari Naam was shared with Mummy Debra. I would have preferred to have taken our time but it was a little loud for Mummy Debra’s sensitive hearing. We loved that the empty plate arrived nicely heated. However, we were not so impressed by the plastic perforated plate that the naan arrived on. Not only was it plastic but it was a touch grubby on the edges. Thankfully not where the naan touched. The vanity unit in the lavatory was very wet but I guess they cannot check it after every visit by a customer. There is a step up to the door way and no ramp.

These guys are the best Indian my wife and I have been to. Best Indian food around,efficient and fairly priced. They had misread our order this evening however they where back to us within 20 minutes , let us keep what they had mistakenly given us and couldn't of been more apologetic. Customer service second to none. We have found our new Indian, thanks guys.

Very good takeaway in High Barnet

I really liked their makhani and they give you little note thanking the customers for choosing them :) cute and nice curry and really nice garlic naan!!!!

Been ordering from here for years now, at least 10 orders per year we make with these guys as we love small businesses and the curry there is truly excellent. I have to say after every order we make the portions seem to get smaller_ spent £40 tonight and only got 2 poppadoms. Really disappointed as we usually get minimum 2 each. It’s regretful to say but we may start using Shapla down the road. I give them that the curry is decorous and I have no fault in the food but portion wise we do not get value for money. Buyers be warn, this is an honest review xx

We usually get takeaway but decided to dine in on a Sunday evening to take advantage of their A la carte menu. For £11.95 per person it was a wonderful experience and we got a huge choice of delicious dishess. The service was impeccable and very friendly. I will definitely be back with my family to eat in and recommend to all my friends. Thank you Mayhek team, you are doing a wonderful job 💜

Tried nearly every Indian takeaway in Barnet and Mayhek is by far the best! Consistently delicious every time with huge portions which are excellent value for money. We always collect but the staff are so friendly whenever we go in. We have moved from the area recently but came back to visit family this weekend and asked if we could get Mayhek and it didn't disappoint

Fabulous Sunday evening meal, for just £11.95. The onion bhaji was OK, but more than made up for by fabulous chicken karahi main, pilau rice and channa dhal. Very friendly staff too, highly recommended.

Without a doubt the best Indian in London (and I've lived all over). Everything is always absolutely delicious (tandoori prawns out of this world) and everyone who works there is so welcoming and friendly. Absolutely must try!

I booked a family meal and it was a large group. I couldn't fault the food or service, I enjoyed a chicken Korma and for such a large party of people the service was great.

Mayhek is my favourite Indian restaurant. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal; especially the poppadoms and special fried rice. All the staff are friendly and always efficient and polite. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a good Indian meal; can’t wait to return!

If you want to order and pay for meal that is not complete … this is the curry house for you!! Twice I’ve ordered from them and twice they delivered with items missing. Which they charged for on both occasions. They did admit to it the 1st time but not the second. They even argued and denied it on the second occasion. So was our Valentines meal ruined. Never again.

The food was delicious. My friends thought the non-veg was cooked differently and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The starter portions were small so order accordingly.

Attended based on reviews, decoration was dated and tatty. Once popadoms and drinks were ordered, were advised "card machine not working cash only" and directed to a cash machine opposite the restaurant! Chicken was exceptionally dry, onion bahji clearly not fresh and vegetable side dishes equally poor. I would not recommend.

Today was the first time I've been to this restaurant and ordered an extensive takeaway. I have to say I'm very impressed by the food as I'm a bit of a curry head., I'd certainly give it 4.7 out of 5, so well done and hopefully I'll frequent your restraint again

Have ordered twice from Mayhek and am usually skeptical of Indian takeaways as the food is generally not great, but this food is excellent - the staff are friendly and helpful, the food was ready very quickly and arrived hot. Found my new local favourite cheeky Indian takeaway 😍

Very average ordinary Indian food and venue. Used to be great before when it was Suruchi!

Very good food. Only criticism is that they forgot to bring out a side dish which we had to eat at the end separate to our meal. No biggie and simple human error. It's a quiet restaurant during the week and nice place to enjoy a conversation over a meal. You dont get bugged by a waiter every few seconds but they are very responsive the moment you turn to look for someone or put your hand up.

For dining in I would rate it 4 stars! Nice little restaurant with friendly staff and good food :-) For take-away however, I wouldn’t rate it as much. The speed is great but the portions seem smaller and I’m still left feeling hungry even after paying for food :-(

The food is really good and tasty, the portion are perfect and the price is really affordable. The staff is really helpful and professional. Such a good take out! Finally a flavourful Indian takeaway that's great tasting but also reasonably priced. Perfect portion sizes combined with flavourful balanced spices. The sauces are smooth and delicious and the naan was incredible. Looking forward to my next takeaway night so I can try some more wonderful dishes. I also asked them not to ring the doorbell (neighbour has a baby and the bell is super loud) and they were very respectful and called me upon arrival just like I had asked. Will definitely make this a regular for takeaway night! also the salads that come in some of the appetisers boxes (like onion bhajis and tandoori chicken) is a really nice touch!

Samosas were Blande and uninspiring, onion bhaji not crispy, avoid butterfly prawns! The rice was nice for the mains but that is where it ended. Previously used to be very good but since change in management standards have slipped

Excellent food, with several items offered that are not on the menu, so worth asking if it's not shown. The spelling on the wine list always make me laugh, though!

Disappointing after reading the good reviews. The vegetarian Thali was lacking flavour and the chicken was tough and overdone. I continue my search for a good Indian restaurant in Barnet.

Excellent Indian restaurant with an interesting menu. I tried the Himalayan chicken that was served in a whole pineapple. Tasty dish and one i hadn't come across before. Staff were good and menu reasonably priced too.

Beautifully designed restaurant and spotless. Very relaxing and unhurried. Wish there had been more vegetarian options. Will go again.

Really enjoyed the food here and it was very reasonably priced. What really made the evening for us were the staff. They were so friendly and when they found out we were celebrating an anniversary, they bought us a pudding with Happy Anniversary written on the plate. Will definitely be going back.

It's such a lovely homely restaurant. Mohammed the waiter is such a wonderful person knows his job very kind and friendly to customer's.

They helped plan my dad's 50th surprise birthday, I can honestly say that the service I received was like no other, the food was amazing... they did everything they said they would and more! I can't rate the service and the food enough, if I could give them 10 stars I would, we had such a variety of everything and it all went down so well. I left my purse there and they delivered it back to my door... service was top notch!!!!!

Had a delivery within 30mins of placing my order! Staff friendly and helpful..can highly recommend the none vegetarian thali...stuffed and looking forward to breakfast tomorrow 😊

Usually I don't like when I am being approached by waiters, but on this occasion I was surprised with politeness and welcoming. I was hungry and couldn't decide what to go for, either Indian or Turkish. I am so glad that I have chosen Indian. The food were delicious, for the price I paid, I was surprised with the amount. Everything was tasty. I loved the chicken covered in coconut sauce. I would most definitely recommend this place to everyone. If you takeaway, give them a call before coming, they'll give you 10% discount.

Ordered food for a lovely Christmas Eve dinner and was sourly disgusted lamb curry dish was basically a little bit of watery curry sauce covered in what seemed to be a gallon of oil. The oil was separated and was sitting on top of half an inch of what is meant to be the curry sauce. I also had the disfortune to order the tandoori grill that was cold and not cooked properly the portion size was miniscule and was absolutely not worth the money. I am so disappointed i wish there was the option to have zero stars. The overall dining experience was awful even the nan was soggy and disgusting. I am apparently going to get a refund for at least half the meal. Also I cannot stress the importance of customer service I called the restaurant back to complain and got my brother to talk to the guy who was very unprofessional on the phone we even heard him swear at my brother when talking to another collegue in their language which we understand. Certainly had a poor experience wouldn't recommend it to anyone sane.

I have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants but this place tops it. The staff are so friendly and provide amazing customer service, the food is absolutely delicious with good cooking time so there's not too much waiting around. I highly highly recommend this place, I drive 40 minutes just to Taste their fine Indian cuisine.
