Worst food I e ever had Luke warm chicken not sure what was supposed to be but jerk it was not rice was so dry couldn’t eat it employees children passing wind at next table 😡was worst place I’ve ever been

Invité a mi familia a una comida y este es un restaurante encantador que acomoda a familias jóvenes. Mis gemelos más pequeños tuvieron una comida para niños y mi esposa probó el pollo Jerk, que dijo que estaba delicioso. Tuve la cabra al curry que estaba llena de sabor y la mejor que tuve personalmente. Si tienes suficiente espacio con las porciones masivas que te dan, entonces el pastel de plátano está fuera de este mundo. Defo vale la pena una visita.

Tuve un pequeño problema con un pedido por teléfono (realizado un sábado por la noche). . . Hice una llamada para consultar el problema y tuve una conversación con la directora Justina, que no podría haber sido más servicial y eficiente, el problema se resolvió allí y en ese momento. La comida es excelente, el servicio es de primera clase y el nivel de gestión es insuperable. ¡Ojalá todos los restaurantes ofrecieran el tipo de servicio y atención al detalle que aparentemente es estándar para el personal de Max's ya que muchos podrían aprender una lección de habilidades de gestión de Justina y su equipo! ! !

Fui a cenar en la calle 21 de noviembre a las 7 pm. Fue recibido por una encantadora joven que nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos. Nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y nos sirvieron bebidas con prontitud. Se tomó nuestro pedido de comida y explicó algo del menú a mis amigos que no habían visitado antes. La comida fue entregada poco después y no nos decepcionó. . . . ¡hermosa! La cabra al curry era suculenta y el arroz cocinado a la perfección. En el postre. Hice pasar a la encantadora joven otra vez. Mis amigos pidieron crumble de manzana y crema pastelera, pero yo me inclinaba hacia el pastel de zanahoria, así que le pregunté qué prefería. Su elección fue pastel de zanahoria, así que fui con eso. Amplios tamaños de porción, con la proporción perfecta de crema pastelera, cuando el postre estaba terminado, estábamos llenos. Gracias a la cocina caribeña de Max por una velada tan encantadora. Y un agradecimiento especial a la joven que nos atendió, ¡un activo total para su negocio!

He usado Max's ahora en dos ocasiones para proporcionarme comidas a pequeña escala. La comida es buena y son muy serviciales. También compro comida y empanadas cuando estoy en la zona. Cuando compré cenas, las porciones tienen una buena relación calidad-precio.

I stopped at Max's Caribbean kitchen on the way home from work. 2 out of the 3 dishes I wanted were 'not available'. I ordered 2 dinners, only to find out I had been given just one when I got home. I rang to advise of this, and was immediately met with an attitude so I asked to speak to the manager..she was too busy! I asked to speak to Max, they took my number and said he would call back.. I am still waiting for that call! Pretty sad when you try to support a black owned business and they feel it is too much to provide any form of customer service..unfortunately, same mistakes a lot of other similar shops have made... before going out of business.

Was sat down for almost half an hour before our order was taken. We ordered curried goat and chicken curry, however was told there was no goat or curry left. Changed the order to prawns however none of that either. Additionally no peanut punch which we were looking forward to trying. As there was only a limited menu I picked the jerk salmon burger, however the menu did not state that it included a mayo sauce. After another long wait (even tho there was only 1 other table) for the food, I couldn't eat the burger as I am intolerant to mayo therefore I paid a large some of money to eat just fries. Was advised by the waitress to come on a Fri or Sat to ensure they have enough food for the full menu! Was a really disappointing experience.

After walking past the restaurant a few times, my son and I decided to give it a go. I had the jerk chicken and my boy had the bbq chicken, both served with rice and peas and coleslaw. Also had Mac cheese and plantain on the side. It wasn’t the best that Iv had but it was still ok. Nice generous portions at a decent price and staff/waitress very polite and attentive. Decor/presentation could do with some sprucing up, just to create a better atmosphere.

The service that I received was extremely poor. The manager chose to argue with me over a £3.50 cake as my cake was delivered with custard all over it. By the time it arrived, it was soggy which I specifically asked them not to do. Refunding or redelivering could’ve led to hundreds in additional future income but in this case it was more important for the restaurant manager to name the customer and save £3.50. I’ve always supported small local businesses but only when they put customers first. Completely dissatisfied because businesses should understand that customers are key to their growth and survival. Until then, I will be ordering elsewhere.

Visited max’s out of curiosity, and was pleasantly surprised! Food was great and service was lovely. I will definitely be coming here again and recommending to my friends and family !

Proper stuff and quick.. Will go back solo or with friends and family and the coleslaw was on point.

Never been to a Caribbean restaurant before, let alone try the food.my boyfriend has been here before.. well,I'm defo coming back.loveky,friendly relaxed service as I don't like being rushed when out for meal this was perfect..I had the tempura prawns with home made sweet chill dip was to die for.. plantain which never tried before,was delicious,..and had to try some of my boyfriends, veg curry with rice and peas.im having that next visit. Waitress where friendly to.and there smoothie selection is great

We stumbled across this gem after a Facebook post in a group for local people. We had not heard much about it so we were slightly apprehensive about taking our guests here......turns out we couldn’t have been more wrong! They absolutely loved it as much as we did. The staff are amazing......attentive, welcoming and super friendly. Food was delicious! One of the best Caribbeans we have been to (trust me we eat out a lot! 😄) The platters are fantastic and allow you to get a taste of everything which we loved. Prices were very reasonable, we were all full to the brim and couldn’t even manage dessert as much as we wanted to! Would highly recommend this place and we are already organising to go back very soon!

Just returned from a superb afternoon of curried goat rice and peas. BBQ chicken plantain salmon and steak. 18 in our crew and everyone had a great time. Those who wanted to drink bought their own alcohol and the rest of us enjoyed carrot cocktails orange and pineapple home made drinks. The desserts were amazing and huge so be warned that when you go here to eat ensure you are hungry. Carrot cake banana cake or chocolate cake all served with custard. Superb children’s menu to choose from. If you enjoy great reggae music an ambience of the Caribbean great service and lovely food then Max’s is a must.

Was looking for something different to eat...So we went for it. The place needs a tidy up,where the chairs and tables aren't looking that good,it needs a better presentation , looking at the colours not bad,nice and bright. Menu seemed very plain,but easy understandable, prices reasonable.. don't sell alcohol! Waited for food around 15-20 min,it tasted nice!! There was a lot of noise coming from the kitchen and a lot of smoke, couldn't possibly enjoy the meal in a nice and quiet atmosphere.. When it came to the bill we were overcharged by £7...had to ask for the bill breakdown... Someone else's food was added by mistake. Staff wasn't very professional,needs some improvement, perhaps training.

Food is absolutely delicious. My partner had the curried goat and I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. The food was on time and piping hot.

Use this take away van frequently. The food is always lovely. I now choose to collect as their popularity means delivery times are often hard for them to meet. Lovely people who run the place. Highly recommended.
