The food was ok, nothing spectacular really i would go again but there was nothing that made it stand out

Absolutely amazing brunch! The food was incredible as always! The entertainment was everything! Amazing managers and great vibe! 👏🏻

I am not really sure where to start, went here on a recommendation to try. Booked for my friends birthday! Waiter was lovely and cannot fault him. Cocktails were really bad, considering they advertise as a cocktail bar I expected to have a cocktail made, but it was ice in a glass with a cocktail mix (funking I believe) charging £8.50! Sent the first cocktail back and was told the manager also agreed with me and I could get a different one, ordered a different drink and it was still very bad. Ordered 5 appetisers - (bruschetta, meatballs, lamb, potatoes and halloumi). Basic food to pick at and I’m sorry but the bruschetta bread was wet, not crisp! The halloumi was dusted with flour before being cooked to death (I wanted grilled halloumi) and the potato’s were so salty and caked in a bbq sauce - not good for someone with kidney disease! Regardless the lamb was nice and the meatballs were ok. At the end of the meal asked to speak to the manager or owner - the manager approached and told us that the brunch they served that very afternoon was fine and was the same food and never had any complaints. I was told it’s my fault that I did not enjoy the food, that it’s mine and my friends pallet that was wrong! I actually had to tell the manager that she had an attitude which was not needed ... I had to elaborate to the manager that I was not after a free meal, or anything to be taken off my bill but that as someone who works in the same industry I just wanted to provide my feedback to better the establishment- to which she laughed and walked off. I don’t know what else to say about this manager but she should not be a manager and she lacks certain key skills. I paid everything on the bill- but I will not be back. The Irish lady, I believe she might be a general manager who I spoke to afterwards (sorry really cannot remember your name) - she should be the manager, she was kind and understanding, and took the time to speak to me afterwards. The waiter (like I said at the beginning) was lovely and he understood the issue - he said he would bring this to the attention of the owner (which I really hope he does) Happy to speak to the owner, from one restaurant owner to another! Love this little spot which is a hidden gem in Bexley. Music and atmosphere is on point. Definitely recommend for a Sunday dance party.

Can you teach the staff there what a negroni, please? You can't call yourself a serious bar without knowing what a negroni is. Every bar up town does one. You're letting yourselves down by not knowing what a negroni is. It doesn't have prosecco in it, which you've tried to put in it on two occasions.

Made the mistake of booking this restaurant for our wedding anniversary meal. Unfortunately when we made the booking we were not told about the Sunday Soul music event, so we couldn't hear ourselves talk over the the really loud music. They had also run out of a lot of the food, so no steaks and none of the chicken dishes were available. The seafood paella was really good, but the fish and chips were nothing special. I would go back again for a girls night out, but it is not the place for a couples evening.

Terrible DJ, Terrible Clientele, the bartenders are just fine but they need to be paid more for working in the bad place, if you’re going here just go to the Amersham Arms it’s really not that much of a trek and it’s 20x better.

I have been to Zingara for dinner and drinks several times I have lost count(atleast once a month some months more)!! Last night my friends and I wanted to go grab drinks this is the first time I have been on a Saturday late just for drinks no food! When we turned up there the bouncer said one of my friends couldn’t come in because she had white trainers on! I was confused because like I said I have been to Zingara several times and I have never been questioned about white trainers. (We even have pictures of us wearing white trainers in Zingara) anyway I though as I have been here a few times let me ask the manager as I have never heard this before. She was so rude to me from the beginning which caught me off guard the first thing she said to me as soon as I explained the situation was “well if you have been here before then you know about the dress code, I replied no i did not as I have never been here for just drinks I normally come for drink and food” anyway my thing is policy is policy that is fine there are other bars on the same road which we went to anyway! But for a manager to lack basic customer service skills to have a polite conversation. She was speaking to me as if I had done something wrong! As a manager all she needed to do was just explain if they did infact have a dress code policy, what it is and when it’s implemented (as I said we have previously been in white trainers) because like I said there are other bars on the same road so we have other options. My friends and I will not be returning to Zingara from this interaction!

I was there for a Sunday afternoon DJ session, which hit the spot in a big way! There was no need to go I to central London and I will go to there next event

Would give no stars....Since when are you told at the age of 39 you're not allowed in because of footwear. I had smart, chunky converse on and was made to wait with 3 security doormen whilst they checked with management. It was 8:30 pm and my friends were already inside as it was a birthday celebration. After being looked up and down for 5 mins, I had enough and left. Never have I been treated in this manner, especially at a restaurant/bar

Friendly, good food at a reasonable price, unique cocktails as well as the classics and great music. What more can you ask for!

I was there last night for a friend's birthday party and nearly died because of food allergy thanks to Zingara's chef who chose to ignore my allergy request. Despite informing the waiter at the time of ordering of my severe egg allergy. My food came with mayonnaise. Needless to say, I am glad I am alive after that. Avoid if you have allergies, because they don't care and you can lose your life.

We happened to book this restaurant by chance at the last minute as our usual restaurant was closed for that day. Since it was our first visit, we had guarded expectations. It was our friends twins birthday and we had lots of kids with us so difficult to keep the noise level low. What can I say, we had a fantastic time, well above the kind of feeling we would have expected from this place. I would like to specially mention about two waitresses they were absolutely fantastic and made our entire experience so special. Especially, Grace, her attention to details were exemplary. She was very professional and highly attentive to our every request and I could say without any hesitation she is the best waitress I have ever met! Food was tasty, freshly made and portions were huge. I would certainly visit here again and thank you Grace for your wonderful hospitality.

A wonderful place to eat, drink and dance. The food is excellent, as is the service, and there are often deals on food and drink too.

Their website says no trainers yet most men inside were wearing trainers. The bouncers looked at me then my husband (a calm, normal, quiet 43 yr old) and said no, he can't come in. Why? His trainers are white. So I missed the party my friends had booked in there towards my leaving employment with them because his footwear was white. Their no trainer rule was obviously not true, so we were discriminated against? They just blamed management. So i will too! This is what YOU are allowing! My 5 mins i was allowed to explain to friends will allow me to say 'this place is actually deeply overrated'. Theres far better with better attitudes. Its ok though, you can be a thug and still get in if your trainers aren't white. Be wise, spend elsewhere! Not even worth the 1 star. Rude and narrow minded. Maybe correctly judge people or people will judge and spread the word on you!

I went here for a Christmas party. Truly, I wouldn't recommend the turkey set meal, but the chill was amazing on the starter menu. The room upstairs is not too big but not too small, it gets really hot here and air-conditioning is not that great. Staff are friendly but slow in the bar.

Food really nice but the bar area gets incredibly busy in the evening to the point of feeling quiet unsafe.

I was in a party of 20 for a work function and the staff were great. The food was tasty, hot and served to a much better standard than we were expecting (only due to being such a large party) I give 5 stars for most, but I was very disappointed as I had reserved a space for after the meal, but was given a table of 4... for 20 people. Overall it was a good night

Great every time. All the food is excellent but the burgers, fries and coleslaw are especially good, our definite go to place for take aways and also a great local restaurant.

The food was tasty halloumi cheese was best I've had. Overall all food was v tasty I must say. Full of flavour sauces and flavours on point. Would definitely order again. Not cheapest 9 quid for some potatoes but I really really enjoyed it.

Went to Soul afternoon 011023, which are held first Sunday every month 3-9pm. Our first visit. Great atmosphere, great drinks! Covered area at front with tables, they let you smoke there. On entering you're in a very large room with DJ booth on left, big speakers all around, central bar with loads of beers including MANGO (v nice) and cocktails (Mojito same), run by overworked barmaids. Drinks average £7 each. Room was set up as a dance floor with tables around outside edge. Punters mostly middle aged or approaching it and a lot were apparently single men. Some good dancing going on esp from some older black guys reliving their youth. Music was mixed dance, rap, soul and VERY loud and even though we were in opposite corner to the DJ my ears are still ringing the next day! I'd go again though, but BOOK A TABLE! Restaurant out the back but we didn't eat there.

Me and my friend decided to go to this place to eat. It was Wednesday evening. We ordered 5 starters which we got a deal for. Cocktails were amazing ! Food was great ! And the service was excellent ! Calamari was the best. I am not sure is it Jake or James that served us but he was brilliant!!! (I am so sorry that we forgot your name but those cocktails were strooong)

The place is a shambles. Do not go here! You buy drinks and they take them off the side and pretend you never had any. Just out to steal you money

Was at the door on bank holiday Friday (25.8.23), Wasn't allowed in as we had casual trainers on (a popular brand with a star). looking in, it was pretty quiet so to turn away customers on a quiet bank holiday, this place must have a money tree planted inside. Anyway won't ever be going back. Thank you doormen. We laughed about it and headed to The Golden Lion.

Been interested in trying Zingara for some time. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery. The fish burger was overcooked and chips luke warm. The service was good and drinks were nice. Overall it was clear the focus was for a bar atmosphere and the restaurant was secondary. Price wise it was not value for money as I couldn't eat the food, nor hear my partner for the loud music. Further our home cooking is a much higher calibre. Disappointed in our experience and do not recommend for eating. If you are after a bar atmosphere then it is fine.

By fair one of the best takeaways I’ve ever had. Large portion sizes, restaurant quality food, burgers and bruschetta particularly good and great value. Will definitely order from again

We ended up here after a meal and we had a wonderful time!! The staff made us really welcome and the cocktails were great. I am a 74 year old lady with mobility problems but my daughter got me up on the dancefloor, especially when the DJ started playing songs from the 80's and 90's!! When it was time to go, one of the bouncers escorted us out, parting the floor like Moses!! I felt like the queen! Thank you all for the best night in years!! (Must comment about the lady who's backside had a mind of it's own and could twerk one cheek at a time!! Incredible!!)

First time trying this local restaurant. Very friendly service at the bar and in the restaurant. Bright and colourful interior, full of character. Food was great, would definitely go back again. Great value as we had a round of 3 drinks, appetisers, mains and desserts which came to £41 a head including service charge

I had been eager to try Zingara for some time, but unfortunately, my experience didn't meet expectations. Even though the Food came quite quickly and it was well packed, but the risotto was excessively oily, and the chicken fajitas lacked the flavorful touch I was hoping for. Not sure if I would want to try it again!!!

So attended a private function upstairs when it was finishing up we went downstairs to dance to the music. The aggressive bouncer proceeded to shine a light on our feet and chuck us out cause we were wearing white trainers when we had spent time and money upstairs. He was very rude and proceeded to drag me to the front door. Why is he going round the dance floor shining a torch on peoples feet.The manager was polite to give her her due and explained the rules after but also think your a bar in Bexleyheath with outdated rules and sexist rules, we were already attending a function and also I wear trainers not heels because I've got an injury.

The food was nice (fillet steak) but the cocktails were a let down. There was NO lemon juice for a "Summer Breeze and NO fresh fruit other than lemon and lime. For a £9 cocktail drink I don't think its unreasonable to expect a strawberry or piece of pinapple.

Great place for cocktails & good atmosphere! Always heaving on a weekend & a great place to hang out with friends. Have never tried the food here and the queue at the bar is always quite longbut def worth a visit. Lovely interior makes you feel like your on holiday. Dress to impress to come here like the clientele do! This isn’t a casual place.

Awful awful awful. One bouncer was a lovely man!! But the other was so aggressive unnecessarily, seemed on a power trip which is pretty sad, he was just an all round not nice human. Truly shocked by the way we were treated for no reason.

Bouncer racist and homophobic towards one member of our group. She was wearing grey trainers and would not let her in then our friend had a flat pair of shoes closed in at the toes with her so she put them on and the bouncer was following her and called manager over and then was told she couldn't wear them due to health and safety by the manager so strange as most of the girls we was with had flip flops on and flat open toe shoes but that weren't against health and safety. Would never go here again as the bouncer was rude racist and homophobic towards our friend.

We went to Zingara to view the event space above the bar/dining room. It was better than expected, 2 walls have cork making decoration easy to put up/break down. The room itself is elegant with sofas, stool and small ledges for drinks, while providing plenty room for dancing. There is a separate bar, toilets and outer terraced smoking area so there is no mingling with other customers. The hiring price and platter offers are great, so we prebooked straight away.

1st time goung here was very unsure of the place as never been here before but itbwas an amazing experience food was very fulling cocktails are amazing just not keen on a service charge tho bit definitely worth another visit

Smartly dressed couple in our 30s refused entry. We usually will go out in central but thought we would try here. Refused entry for not wearing shoes. We just laughed and walked to another restaurant. We really were not missing anything inside. Wouldn’t bother returning.

Been here many times but won’t return as the music is SO SO SO LOUD in the restaurant and even when you ask to turn it down it seems they do the opposite. Strange! Trying to speak to the waitress was also impossible for both her and us, so good luck if you want to ask something about your bill. Maybe the plan is to make you scream so loud at each other that you need more drinks for the effort. It would be ok once you’re at the point you just want a dance but if you want a conversation on any level, go elsewhere first. Shame as it’s an easy fix but they seem unwilling.

Watched a show in London and then caught a train and a taxi to Zingara on Sat evening. We were greeted by a very unreasonable and rude doorman who refused my friend and I entry. Two, 43 year old women, who had only drank 2 glasses of wine each that evening. We were told that because we had a drink before arriving that we weren’t allowed in. Neither of us were even tipsy let alone intoxicated which he told us was the reason we couldn’t go in. However he then let others in that were clearly very drunk. We asked to speak to a manager but again he refused. Very disappointed and won’t be returning.

I've been to this restaurant a few times. After the 1st time I couldn't wait to go back. Unfortunately we were one of only a few 2 seating tables that night bang in the middle of tables for 6+ people. A mix of hen parties and other large groups dominated the room. Even the loud music didn't drown it out. I get that large groups generally mean they get a lot more money, but it's just not 'couple friendly'. The most recent visit (Sept 2022) we brought a friend and I very specifically asked if we could sit somewhere quiet. It was basically the exact opposite once again. SUCH a shame as the food is very good. That said, I was hugely dissapointed they change one of the potato tapas, not as good as the 1st couple of times. I have now moved up to Yorkshire so won't be going back. I would still recommend the food, but don't go if you're looking for a romantic night with your partner. Service also a bit slow at times coming to the table with the bill, or asking if you want more drinks. I know some people don't like to be hurried on that, so it's a fine line, but staff need to look and see if customers are trying to get their attention for such things.

I love this bar but once again some bad management choices on my last visit. I sat with a friend at table for two, staff put a table next to another. My friend left after his drink, I was still drinkink and was approached and asked to move being told this table is reserved well it became reserved when I was sitting there? So they booked in a group and asked me to move! I asked where and directed to the seat by fireplace, got another beer in, halfway through approached by two and told this table is reserved and we need it now... I questioned where is the reservation note and that its not on to keep moving me. I asked where would they like me to sit, outside the reply, move or leave. For a on and off customer since it was Zero degrees this is just poor. The staff know what tables are booked, they need to put signs on them and not keep unsettling people. Very poorly handled and very bad on the foh to have such attitude. tldr booking a table in while someone is sitting there or not telling that person its reserved at X time, to allow me to sit and by herded about twice in the space of an hour or so!

Absolutely awful evening. Booked the table for myself and a group of work colleagues. It was supposed to be a chance for a chat and catch up. But the music was playing at an ear splitting volume. It was so loud the waiting staff were struggling to hear us to take our orders and it was impossible to converse between ourselves. I asked for it to be turned down instead it was turned up! Probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Will never go there again.

As a person who does not drink for religious reasons (I am a Muslim), I entered the premises with two other friends on a Saturday night (6/08/2022), the bouncers told us he is kicking us out for not buying any alcohol within the first 20 minutes. They didn’t give us their names or any reference to make a complaint, just kicking us out for not drinking alcohol, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS EXTREMELY RACIST

Despite already buying drinks and then stepping outside they have an insane footware rule refusing entry due to an inflated ego of a security guard. . Smartly dressed, well behaved, already purchasing drinks and coherent with staff I was still refused entry as I’m wasn’t in heels. A smart dress and clean shoes is perfectly acceptable In all bars apart from here. Such a Sexist bar. Outdated views and fundamentally disgusting customer service.

Been going to Zingaras for years for the drinks as they are great but had dinner there for the first time - tapas options are so lovely and the service is faultless! Will deffo eat here again

Quite a happening place with 2 for 1 cocktails offer! A friendly DJ as well! Nice local crowd! Long island ice tea was well made and has a separate smoking section. A dance floor is also available and the atmoshpere is eclectic

Tried this lil spot on a Sunday evening - everywhere else was pretty much dead but Zingara had a live singer and dj on til 12am. We arrived at about 9pm and spent the entire evening there. Music was great, staff were brilliant and friendly but whet stood out to me was the quirkiness and style ! Very well laid out fantastic art, decor and a beautiful landscape which is floor to ceiling in the corridor on the way to the bathrooms... the bathroom itself was an undersea explosion of mosaic and colour. Fascinating and clearly a great effort and money spent on decor and design. This place has all the feels for a relaxing glass or 2 midweek to a party night of fun with great entertainment on a weekend. Will be going back !

Heard about this place through a friend. I was coming here from the metropolis that is Croydon so not just 15 mins up the road from me. However it was worth the trip. Came on a Sunday evening. Alex the bar guy was brilliant and friendly. Made my friend a cocktail at our request that wasn't in their menu. Nice cosy seating in the bar area too. Ordered some nibbles too and couldn't fault it apart from being lukewarm but the waitress (didn't catch her name) sorted that out right away without any fuss. Will be back again.

Knocking a star off from a bad experience yesterday. Am not regular but have been going since its refurb, met the owner seen staff change. I was a little shocked though; sat at a table reserved 6:30pm and sure as, was ready to leave, however, 6:25ish was approached and told this table is reserved now and waitress went to take my glass had about a mouthful of beer, that isn't the point. A better approach is to ask me to move towards the bar than what I feel like to be kicked out. Customer service is key and this behaviour made me feel a little negative towards this place. First in years. All this aside, it is a good bar, good beer and wine always clean, yes go just watch you don't sit in the wrong place!
