Maverick in Dudley

We had another great night out at the Maverick, which puts on live bands at the weekend. Not a restaurant. We watched FoneyFolk last night, a great local folk group. The beer was excellent and the atmosphere excellent. It is a cowboy themed pub with great choice of real ales. A proper pub, no food, although they sell cobs, which are soon sold out.

Had a nice chilled afternoon at the maverick. The staff are really nice and chilled unlike quite a few covid crazy pubs. Paid in cash no problem and wasn’t treated like a leper.

Fantastic help and support from all the staff and customers of the Maverick and the Ziggy Paul band that provided their services for free, that enabled £450 to be raised on the night for the charity. So few of these "Real Pubs" about with a fantastic atmosphere , real ales and, music in a Western style decor. Give it a try you will not be disappointed

We returned here on a Saturday night,choice of real ales,live country music,no entrance fee,yes it was free,welcome customers who actually know how to make a conversation,well it is the Black Country,so your sure to be involved with the locals,so friendly. Car park off Brettle lane,round the back. We use bus,too many beers to enjoy here, Great night out.
