I had not been to Matoom for some time as my last visit was not good. This time I was stunned by the excellent quality of the food. Everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be going back.

I had a fantastic dinner at Matoom on a Thursday evening. Small but perfectly formed restaurant. Prawn and pineapple curry was absolutely delicious. Service was flawless and prices were reasonable. Would certainly be my go to Thai if I lived here. Highly recommend.

This cosy restaurant has been my partner's go-to for years and on my first visit it absolutely did not disappoint. The vibe as soon as you enter is warm and welcoming, although the space is small it's well managed so you don't feel like you're spilling onto other diners tables. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. We enjoyed the prawn toast, chicken and prawn dumplings, the chicken red curry and the herbal seabass. Each dish was delicious

Just had some food from Matoom via Deliveroo and it was very disappointing. The tempura vegetables were simply not edible - I had to spit out my bite. And my Mee Goreng was not nice either. Way below average. My husband’s glass noodles with prawn and vegetable gyoza were just ok. All in all - probably the worst Thai food in a few years. It ruined our evening. Can’t believe the good reviews people have left.

I don’t understand what has happened at Matoom. The food used to be excellent. Have now had a couple of really bad takeaways. My wife and I had pad Thai today and every bite tasted really burnt. Last time we go there!

I always want to love Matoom. The small cozy cafe feel is nice in real life and I've enjoyed good food and warm service pre-lockdown. A nice range of the usual Thai restaurant dishes and a few different ones to keep it interesting. We've ordered three times in the past year and each time slightly disappointed. Great flavours, but tough chewy meat (most recently in both a beef Red curry and a chicken penang curry). My husband couldn't eat the veg spring rolls as he found them too dry, I thought they were fine. Good ribs. In a previous occasion my mother found the chicken in the green curry chewy and dry, and husband disappointed with salmon special. Overall, wish the quality of the meat was better as the flavours were really nice.

Visited during covid so it was expectedly quiet. It's a small (thin) restaurant with maybe 6~ tables now. Had two starters, two mains and 1 rice and were left feeling extremely satisfied. All dishes are rich enough to be "smaller" (im a big person) portions leaving you feeling full even though you haven't devoured half a kilo of food. My favourite dish was the Ped Makham, perhaps the best thai dish I've ever had.

I absolutely love this little restaurant. It is my go to Thai restaurant locally. The food is fantastic, and I cannot fault it. Eat-in or take-away, it’s always perfect. I particularly love their massaman, and the prawn toast is perfect! I recommend trying this tiny restaurant!

Possibly the worst service that I have ever encountered. It was so bad that it ruined our evening, which was meant to be a celebration meal for a new job. From the moment we walked it the waitress was surly and rude. We ordered the green curry (without chilli). When it came it was spicy. I called the waitress over to let her know, only to be told that she was busy so we waited... and waited... This is one of many issues from the evening. The food was ok, what I'd expect at a Thai restaurant. We wouldn't go back.

I ordered food online, clearly stating allergy requirement in my order. None of the allergens I was meant to avoid were stated in the list of ingredients I could see online. Out of precaution, I stated those ingredients has to be excluded from the dishes I ordered. The food was delivered alongside my receipt, which clearly included my allergy requirements. None of the dishes that were meant to not contain the allergens had been prepared accordingly. They both contained those allergens in large amounts. This is totally reckless and could have ended up badly. Needless to say, Matoom now lost a customer.
