Master Wei Xi'an Cuisine in Camden

The Pork dumplings, spring rolls, spare ribs,and noodle dishes can all be found on your run of the mill Chinese takeaway menu , however I can assure you this Xian restaurant has elevated all its dishes to another level.

Very efficient service. Nice food, at incredible reasonable prices. Large portions, very filling. We had the hand pulled noodles and shared with sides. Nice close and friendly atmosphere inside. Recommend booking.

We visited on a lunch break from the British Museum, which is a couple blocks away. It was a great find and, judging by the packed dining room (inside and out), others thought so too. We didn't have to wait long for a table inside. We ordered the beef biang biang noodles, beef burger, and hand-pulled noodles with pork in soup. All of these were warming and had such a complexity of flavor (flavorful and not overly spicy) that I hadn't tasted before. The prices were reasonable, portions just the right size to be filling, efficient service and nice atmosphere.

Saturday night was packed, the waiters were rushed off their feet, but despite the chaos, the food was simply delicious.

A good place to eat from an authentic menu in this cuisine. Tasty with gray flavours. Friendly set up with pleasant setting

Wonderful, authentic food. We didn't book and queued for a little while, but it wasn't a problem. The staff were attentive to the queue and fast and efficient with everything they did. Best to book ahead though! Delicious dishes, whether you're sticking to something familiar or pushing the boat out.

I found this restaurant by reading it in a book and I was very curious to try their cuisine. I took, as recommended by the book, the Biangbiang noodles and they were really good. The place is small and the staff are very shy but overall courteous. It was a pleasant family lunch.

Incredible food. We were on the search for authentic Chinese food but wanted to get out of the hustle and bustle of Chinatown so when we came across this gem, we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. We had the most delicious selection of dishes and our two daughters 8 and 10 said it was the best meal they’ve ever had. Thankyou Master wei!

Best noodles this side of Heaven or Hanzhong...take your pick. Have been all over China and tried a lot of noodles. But these at Master Wei's are simply divine! Back in Canada for a week and all I dream about is Master Wei's noodles! Anyone says they are too expensive is a spoiled brat! Hot n sour soup was good too! Not too spicy and not too sour...just right.

We wanted somewhere to eat that wasn’t too swanky, wasn’t a chain, but allowed bookings. This was local to us so we gave it a go. Very happy we did. Had four or five dishes of street food between three and they were all great. Only one I wasn’t so convinced about was the cold chicken - the taste was lovely but I couldn’t quite get my head around it being cold. All the other dishes were yummy and I could have eaten again. Service fast and friendly. Atmosphere good. Would definitely return.

Absolutely delicious, really amazing lovely food from Xian which may be well where pasta was invented... Big thick chewy noodles with spicy beef, crisp tangy cucumber salad, ice cold Asahi really nice service… Bloody good restaurant

We was staying in a hotel close by & wanted something tasty to eat, passing this place & gave it a try. Glad we did !! Although more of a cafe than a restaurant the food was very nice & the small menu made it quite easy to choose.

Outstanding food and good value too. The cold chicken starter was amazing and the biang biang beef noodles were jam packed with flavour. Highly recommended and I'll be going again

Hammersmith branch: - Service very good, prompt and friendly. - Good size portions - Frequented by a-lot of Chinese/Asian customers which suggests it must be good. - We ordered the famous veggie noodles, a pork noodle dish, veg and pork dumplings, chicken wontons in soup, cucumber salad, egg fried rice. I wouldn’t say any of it was anything special and the dumplings and wonton soup were bland. - No baby change facilities and no highchairs (though they did later supply us with a booster seat).

Went to the Hammersmith branch. Tad underwhelmed. Does so much takeaway business that the canteen seems a bit of a bolt on afterthought. Starters good. Dumplings. Cold beef salad. Vg hot and sour. Main courses were very Xian-y. Noodles with beef, noodles with chicken. Beware if you like spicy food. This isn't spicy. More kind of homely pasta with soup. Didn't work for me. Didn't like the beef esp. 30 pounds a head with no wine. Looked around at what other diners were having. They tended to go for Chinese restaurant favourites like sweet and s pork. And actually they looked very good. Should have had those. Might go again. But menu a bit complicated and intimidating. Positives. Right next to Hammersmith bus station. And at least you could hear in the restaurant. And service good.....but not a romantic night out let me put it that way.

We were curious about the Xi'an cuisine as we had not had it before. We were blown away by the flavour. The noodles, spices and meats came together so well. We came back once more and ordered take away on another night (as bookings were full). Best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

We wanted to have Chinese food for dinner. We found this close to our hotel and it was excellent! Very authentic flavor and delicious noodles! Small restaurant that does take reservations, we were there before dinner hour and it was still consistently busy.

Business lunch in February with a couple associates, we had dumplings and pot stickers to start then we each had a dish with fresh pulled noodles. Have to say wow! The food tasted amazing, love the atmosphere of the restaurant and we had attentive service.

Basic restaurant but serving authentic Chinese street food dishes. Very reasonably priced. Sunday night the restaurant was busy so was a little rushed and not so friendly. That's not a huge criticism as the staff were doing everything to accommodate as many people without bookings as possible. Food was good quality and the pulled pork Chinese burger justified its position as a signature dish.

Very quick service and excellent food. Hand pulled noodles, just the right amount of spice on each dish and the variety was great!

Fabuleuses nouilles ! Service rapide et aimable. Dans une petite ruelle donc vaut le détour . A essayer absolument.

We asked the waiter/waiter for a recommendation and he ordered the Biang Biang Beef Noodles for us. It was insanely delicious and I will dream about them. As starters we picked vegetable and pork dumplings and I ordered an iced soy milk. Everything was a 20/10. Would highly recommend.

Restaurant chinois située dans une ruelle cachée tout simplement délicieux !!!! Le personnel est très gentil. Nous avons commandé deux entrées et trois plats de nouilles exquis! Je recommande ce restaurant à 100%.

Great food, homemade noodles and I love the cucumber. It can feel a bit rushed and cramped not a place for a leisurely meal.
