Don’t waste your money - avoid this place! I bought sweet and sour chicken takeaway from here on our way home. When I went to pick up my order first they gave me someone else’s food which I refused to take. Once we arrived home I realised there was only egg fried rice and no chicken whatsoever. I contacted the store with my complaint which they blatantly ignored.

Our teens usual bao place. But this time quite sickening. Sent back pork bao which had large flaps of bristle on the meat. Oboe to substitute for undercooked chicken. Very busy but no quality control. Kids just are the bun on one. Have tried to notify management but no email on site.

We stopped here for a quick lunch before shopping as we love Bao buns. The food was fantastic and the team was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely try out their sister restaurant that Norbert recommended to us.

Quite nice dishes, and I'm commenting as a Chinese. The food and service are good, but don't expect many authentic Chinese flavor here, it's already pretty westernized, though still quite nice. The chilli paste dip in the dumpling side dish is authentic Chinese, although I never saw people use it this way where I lived back in China. But it's good. Have a try. The only downside is the buns. Though they're nice enough, they taste drier and stiffer than what we usually have back in China.

I stumbled upon Master Bao while shopping at Westfield Mall. The 'joint' looked attractive enough for me to take a closer look. I'd never heard of it, and was reluctant to try because in all honesty, I'm not a big fan of this Chinese/Taiwanese steamed snack made of glutinous rice. I've always found Bao Buns to be too chunky, and to taste a bit raw. Perhaps it's the pasty, artificial-looking white colour of the dough? 🤔 Bao Buns are what I would imagine edible pillow stuffing would taste like! 😄 Regardless of my 'misgivings' about Bao Buns, I decided to try some. Master Bao looked a decent enough eatery, and Time Out Magazine had voted it/them "Lightest, fluffiest buns in London". Master Bao had a simple menu comprising of WOK NOODLES (4 types), RICE (4 types), SWEET & SOUR (with 3 protein options), A MASTER BAO COMBO MEAL & A KIDS MEAL, SIDES (6 kinds), DRINKS (soft and alcoholic), and BAO BUNS of course, (6 varieties). The Bao Buns were reasonable at £4.5 each. I ordered a BEEF BRISKET BAO BUN (Braised Beef Brisket, Pickled Mooli, Wasabi Slaw, Coriander) and PRAWN BAO BUN (Marinated King Prawns, Fried, Pickled Mooli, Spiced Spring Onions). Both the Buns were really good. Slightly spicy and very flavorful, though they could have been a bit more generous with the fillings. The Beef Brisket Bao had wasabi in it, and I hate wasabi! 🤢 However, I got only a subtle hint of it, and it was quite yummy; very juicy and tender. The Prawn Bao Bun had something called 'Mooli' in it, as did the Brisket Bun. I have no earthly idea what that is, so I'll be heading off to do a Google search after this review is done! 😆 Other items on the menu of Master Bao sounded very appealing, like say- the Chicken Dumplings, Sweet & Sour King Prawns, Ginger & Garlic Edamame, etc. I was so tempted to order, but I just wasn't that hungry. Maybe next time. Service at Master Bao was prompt and efficient. This is after all, Fast Food! 😁 I was given an electric buzzer, and it beeped in no time at all. Master Bao is located in the extremely busy Food Court area of Westfield called 'The Balcony', so it has limited seating. I enjoyed both my Buns, though I'm still unequivocally NOT A BAO BUN FAN! But, I really think that the Bao Buns at Master Bao are as good as it gets, so it's well worth checking out, especially if you like them.

Bao bun uncooked, soggy and rubbery followed by a cold and solid egg fried rice. Customer service behind the till quite unhelpful and patronising. Not recommended at Westfield

I ordered a chicken fried chicken from Master Bao Westfield takeaway and I was served by Cesar. Only for me to open my food when I got home and there was no chicken in it. They food looked like leftovers. If they couldn't fulfill the order they should have said. Not steal £9 and give rubbish food. Absolutely horrible of them to have done that. Clearly they knew what they were doing and it was intentional. Disappointed by this experience.

The chicken udon noodles and egg fried rice both tasted great, definitely a different taste than to what you get typically in these type of shopping centre units. However, the veggie noodles were nowhere near as nice - the tofu was soaked in soy sauce and couldn't really have any of it because the taste was so bitter/overpowering so this dish was a bit of a waste of money in my opinion. I also thought that apart from the taste, the portion size was quite small for the price (£10) and I would probably expect a bit more when paying this amount. The chicken dumplings on the other hand were quite good, and I also liked all the side sauces they gave. The staff member on till was also nice enough to offer us a free drink to compensate for the shoddy veggie option we got, which was a great gesture for sure.

We went to Westfield for lunch yesterday before the cinema. It was extremely busy it being a bank holiday. I picked this place as the food looked promising and the queue was short. I ordered the 2*bao plus sweet potato chips meal-deal for £12. One bao with shredded pork, the other beef brisket. It came with a small dish of mustard mayonnaise which worked well. The bao buns were fresh and light, the fillings were tasty and brightened with fresh chopped herbs. I'd started out starving and initially the tray of food looked like 3-4 mouthfulls and done, but it turned out to be very filling indeed. One negative was that with Westfield so busy getting a table to eat took some time and planning. The queue to order took about five minutes and customers are given a paging-buzzer but it took another 20 minutes to be ready. Luckily this time we weren't in a rush.

Freshly made Baos with a lot of different options. The chicken one was especially good, the shrimp one was really spicy. Nice dumplings. Looping lines.

The menu was free of dairy which was a plus for me as an intolerant. The server on the till, Alex, was very helpful and friendly. I had the chicken bao with a side of fried chicken. The bao was so soft and fluffy. However, it was extremely small in size. I was expecting something a little bigger for the £4.80 or whatever it was I paid but maybe that’s just me.

Having visited Daddy Bao in Tooting, I was pleased to find this was near where I needed to be to see a band. I wasn't disappointed, the bao buns and all fillings were delicious. Shame that it would be too filling to have one of each type. The fried chicken was a treat too. Service was speedy and friendly. Nice Taiwanese beer too.

This establishment no longer exists , you will need to take it off of your register . What is there now is the Brackenbury restaurant .

The food tastes more like fast food rather than a restaurant. The flavors are normal, but on the salty side. You need to order at the counter, and the staff won't serve you any water or provide any service, yet they will still charge a mandatory service fee. This restaurant also serves as a supermarket, and my friend told me that they bought moldy food here after I had my meal. I won't go a second time, it was a terrible experience.
