I have had takeaways from here many times in the past and they have always been tasty, but the lamb Achari unlike other times was bland, not very tasty and packed with large pieces of onion! I won’t go back again, which is a shame because as mentioned previously the food we have experienced has always been very good and tasty!

The worst Indian ever, it wasn't hot or spicy, chicken was dry and bland,it arrived 15 minutes late,which I didn't mind,it was cold, got boil rice instead of pilur rice etc. Not be getting anything from there again.

Absolutely beautiful!......amazing flavour, quality meat, portion sizes spot on, red hot food on delivery. 10/10 to the chef!!!!......the best around!. I couldn't of enjoyed a meal more....Absolutely recommend!!!!.....uve got to try this place!.....Beautiful! Just tried a Saag Bhaji for the first time!.....spinach in a sauce!, amazing, will defo order again!

After making an order online, paying for delivery they got the order wrong. The customer service from them was shocking and were only willing to replace if I collected it. I went up and they said it was my fault for not calling them to make the adjustment to the order after putting through online because they were too busy to read the order properly themselves. It's a shame because the food is beautiful but won't be ordering again!

Arrived late into the County of Durham fir a week stay, looked for something to eat, Newton Aycliffe was the closest location. Decided to order an Indian takeaway, I was impressed with the awards behind the Counter…the next day however I have woken up with ‘Deli Belly’…three times to the loo…I have never had a stomach episode like this for over ten years…the curry itself was of a reasonable taste, nothing to match the award’s currently showing behind the Counter. At your discretion, hygiene didn’t look too good!

Very average meal, disappointed. Ordered in store and staff insisted on cash only, very aggressive about it. Lesson learned, never again.

First and last time ordering here. The weasel on the other side of the phone lied and hung up the phone when my order hadn't turned up. Was being polite and patient the entire time, especially considering the circumstances, and also while trying to make sense of broken English. Mega irritated, will be waiting a few days for my refund.

Took ages to be delivered, when delivered food wasn’t very hot, they forgot to add mango chutney to the order, instead sent something totally different,

The gentleman who came to the door was polite and friendly, not like these young lads in big exhaust cars . The food was hot and just spot on , the bhaji's were unbelievable, n not greasy or stodgy like other nameless restaurants. Deffo future regular customers. Spot on Only downside , keema nan was a bit sparce on the filling. 9. 99/100

We use this takeaway pretty often. But tonight a simple thing could of been rectified so simple. But nope attitude on the phone over something missing from the order. It's a simple mistake no need for attitude at all. Won't be using again. Such a shame!!

I have frequented this takeaway many times, the food has always been exceptional. During my most recent visit I was disappointed to find that the complimentary poppadoms were not included.

This is without any doubt the best Indian takeaway we've ever used. We've had many Indian takeaways and from all over the world, Perth Australia, Florida, Vancouver, Liverpool, Evian France as well as various parts of North East England. The chef owns the restaurant and has won gold awards including for being the best takeaway in the North East in a respected and regular competition. Superb

i was going through just eat last night and noticed this one was headed "promoted" i thought ok i will give this a go, OMG i always have vindaloo and have done over the years, but the one i got last night was OUT OF THIS WORLD loved it i even text the delivery girl to tell them it was the best. WELL DONE you have my vote

Use regularly. Very good food. Delivery service excellent and always on time. A mistake was made on our last order but the missing item was delivered to my door within 5 minutes of my reporting it by phone. You could not expect a better service.

Best Indian restaurant for miles

Always a great meal here. Meat is always cooked well and of good quality. Our only go to considering the other popular choices in Aycliffe, these guys provide great food, fast delivery and a friendly service. Cannot wait for our order tonight!

I live in catterick and travel to Aycliffe just to get this Indian food. It is lovely and the portions are plentyful. Can recommend

I order from here whenever I am in aycliffe and this is THE BEST Indian take away in town. The only downfall is it is not a restaurant. I have never had a bad meal from here. Everything is always 5 star. I would recommend this place over any others in town if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine.

Ordered last night and really impressed. Food was delivered quicker than expected (which especially during lockdown and they're busier is impressive) and the food was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Sauces full of flavour, naans smelled and tasted amazing. There were no leftovers left, we were stuffed! We amended our order and asked for extra garlic in some of the meals and they came loaded with extra slices in, all our meals were delicious. Will definitely be ordering again soon!

I opted for the Sunday special, which was excellent value the food was tasty. As I really like hot and spicey I optd for the chicken vindaloo, my expectations were not met with the heat. I thought it was a really mild curry , very tasty though. As there is no Phal on their menu I wouldn't go for this again but opt for something else. I would definately eat here again as I said the food was tasty enough. Delivery was excellent but be aware that to qualify you have to spend a minimum of 310, the special comes in at £9-95 so you need to order a little something else.. Enjoy

We ordered early so I guess we got last night chicken as the texture was rather rubbery and tough. I ordered Sylhet(very hot) chicken tikka, it’s was really poor. More like precooked/frozen chicken cooked in a very mild tasteless sauce.We have had a few nice meals here over the last several weeks but this one was a waste of money

Had the worst curry ever from Masala Tandoori tonight. Asked for Egg Pilau Rice, opened the box it was plain with very little taste. Ordered Lamb Dansak and Chicken Dupiaza and they were the blandest tasteless curries we have ever had from anywhere. Don't know whether it has changed hands again or whether there is a new chef but whatever has happened it's not a good business move.

We order regularly, both for delivery (drivers are lovely, always polite and chatty and very fast service....best of all you can tell care is taken with transport as it arrives perfect) and often we pop in after a day out on a weekend and grab our food on the way home. Our 3 year old always gets tucked in too, specials are great value, the pathia, madras and tikka masala are our usual go to’s and are very tasty! Naans are lovely and fresh. Onion bhajis never dry or greasy. The only thing we aren’t overly keen on is the chips, but hey ho :) still good quality and fresh. For a sit down meal we use elachi, for a take away we always use masala tandoori, never disappoints!

Totally disgusting used raw Garlic cloves hhhhhaaa hhhhhaaa omg but the apparent management said that is how it's made ...... what a load of rubbish like the food uuurrgghh

Saeed the head chef catered for my vegan requirements and according to my wife makes the best Mango Chicken Exotica. Period.

Ordered take away on just eat, delivery good price ok and all items as described in the menu. It's not the best Indian food by a long way but it was quite tasty, however far too oily / greasy.

Enjoyed every time I eat from here, strongly recommend it.

Shameful. I ordered a chicken Madras from here after a long day at work. starved and ready for some grub. To get it home and find that the Madras was 95% oil and I had 2 fish threw the the separated sause 2 get my chicken. So I decided 2 give the a ring and tell them it was a abomination of a curry for them 2 ask me 2 return it for a new 1. So I thort wey hey. The nights not a dead loss Currys still on the cards. So I put my shoes back on todled my way back up 2 receive my fresh curry. So I waited 5mins for them 2 knock up a new ruby murry smelling the delightful smell of the spices. My belly cheering them on 2 get it ready. Only 2 get home and find this 1 is 85% oil. I mean come on how hard is it for a Indian 2 knock up an Indian 😲. So I decided to cut my losses and thort fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice ect ect ect. Belly still rumbling I thort al just tear into the cheese naan only to f*#$ing find it's made with cheese slices. All in all a waste of money,time and the will to live . Wont be ordering from there again. Next time al just have some curry paste and a tub of extra virgin olive oil. Over and out !!!

Acabo trasladó a la zona, que ahora están tratando de todos los locales, la comida para llevar comida para llevar masala está muy cerca de nuestra nueva dirección.Aparecimos y recoge un menú y todo el personal era muy amable y servicial.El sábado pasado teníamos amigos que venía por la noche y les explicó que nunca habían probado la comida para llevar Masala, pero todos estamos de acuerdo en que el riesgo.Así, todos quedamos asombrados por la calidad, el sabor y los precios son razonables.Sin duda era un riesgo que vale la pena tomar y ahora uso este establecimiento sobre una base regular.Mantener el buen nivel.

Me llamó unos días antes para preguntar/hora si había alguno opciones veganas, ya que queríamos pedir en Nochevieja. . El señor hablé con nombre Saeed (lo siento si ortografía mal) era muy servicial y organizó para mí tener verduras y vegetales balti pilau preparada sin mantequilla o ghee. Mi madre tenía la exotica pollo y dijo que era increíble. La entrega fue rápida y el conductor era muy agradable. Los precios eran muy razonables, la comida era muy sabrosa pero no excesivamente aceitosas como a veces este tipo de cocina. Sin duda pedir de nuevo. Gracias chicos!

Very nice Indian we eat from here often, always order the madras which Is very tasty. Food reasonably priced. A couple of times items have been missed however rectified quickly when noticed

eaten from here few times take away, not really impressed reason I eat son buys it to be honest next time im telling him not to get me anything. the lamb was tough didn't taste cooked. naan bread was nice but was all I ate with the sauce so expensive sauce and naan bread, threw the lamb out I. last time lamb was ok but just ok time before threw it out so id advise don't buy the lamb.i might as well just asked for sauce and naan bread.

A pesar de la competencia de restaurantes indios en Aycliffe al estar tan alto el Masala ofrece comida para llevar, en los dos significados de la palabra. El pollo Tandoori Mantequilla es el mejor que he tenido y Elachi incluso mejor que hay de todo lo que es un gran restaurante y también la sala Bengal que es bueno también. La India es siempre ocupados, sin embargo nunca tiene una o dos en recoger sin embargo la mayoría de su negocio se encuentra en brindar a las puertas. No podemos hablar de tiempos de entrega, ya que nos gusta tan cerca es sin sentido que lo trajeran. Los precios son muy buenos, la media Mantequilla pollo es tan barato y ofrece una estupenda comida para llevar por una fracción del precio normal. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Pedimos unos comida para llevar de este lugar y hemos aprovechado sus jueves y domingos noche especiales, buena relación calidad-precio en esta oferta sin embargo han sido acusados extra por la misma comida un par de veces. (se negó a pagar la diferencia una vez revisar el menú)

Noticed that this place has been taken over again. The waiting area has had a makeover and looks cleaner with newly upholstered seating. Staff were polite. Food was good quality with average takeaway prices. Too many takeaways try to use cheap chicken in dishes but I'm pleased to report that decent quality chicken was used.

Just ordered from here took 2hrs 40 min to arrive food was cold was given a bottle of multipack coke as compensation. Could have walked to tescos several times and bought a cold curry and a bottle of coke for a fraction of the cost if that's what I wanted

son went to pick up food ordered they tried to rip him off upping the prices this has happened several times the new owners he refused the food wont be going back plenty of other indian places in aycliffe will try others their loss we order regular so their loss .

Popped in for an indian the other day and dear me, new faces again. Then as me and my wife opened the takeaway... a horrid smell came across and what it was was the stinking food, did try most of the food, but was so manky.

This is the second time I have been to Masala and I must say, it has been poor. The first visit I must say was average (a bit pricey) and food was not worth the price, but this time was not up to standards. I live in Shildon and the takeaways there aren't the best so I decided to come here. The food was cold and the chicken tasted different and appeared to be undercooked. Too pricey on below average quality of food.

Meal arrived very polite delivery person. Meal hot, delicious tikka masala.The food was as requested and this is not the first time I have ordered from this takeaway.Highly recommended!!
