My husband and I came here to enjoy our birthdays. The food was lovely. The only thing I would say that one of the servers was miserable and it seemed he rather wished he wasn't there. The popadoms were advertised at a lower price than we were charge, but we let it go because we assumed it was including the dips. Will defo return..

Masala Lounge, Enfield: A Disappointing Disaster My initial foray into Masala Lounge was a delightful one. The food was flavorful, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the service was prompt and friendly. So, it was with high hopes that I returned, eager to relive that first delicious experience. Unfortunately, what followed was a culinary and customer service catastrophe that has permanently extinguished my flame of enthusiasm for this establishment. The first red flag was the agonisingly slow and argumentative exchange over a technical glitch rendering them unable to process my card payment. Apparently, wrestling with basic refund procedures took a staggering 72 hours, leaving me feeling like a hostage in a financial standoff. To top it all off, they had overcharged me on the initial order, adding insult to injury to the technological snafu. The second red flag, was the time it had taken for the food to be delivered. This being over 1.5 hours. The naan, wasn’t hit and fresh, as the original time. Some of the mains were luke-warm too. But the true nadir of the evening was the tandoori chicken, a dish I specifically ordered based on its stellar performance during my first visit. Imagine my dismay when what arrived was a pale, anaemic imposter bearing no resemblance to its predecessor. The vibrant tandoori red had morphed into a sickly orange, the succulent texture replaced by a dry, rubbery disappointment. It was as if someone had presented me with a poorly disguised chicken nugget and dared to call it tandoori. To claim this was false advertising would be an understatement. It was a culinary bait-and-switch, leaving me heartbroken and questioning the very essence of tandoori chicken as I knew it. My pleas for rectification were met with dismissive shrugs and a complete lack of empathy. The staff, who were once so charming, now resembled automatons programmed for robotic indifference. Regrettably, Masala Lounge has squandered its initial promise with its unprofessional, discourteous, and non-existent customer service. The technical incompetence, the overcharging, and the culinary travesty that they’d insistently claiming that was the tandoori chicken used in the Chicken Muli dishes have all conspired to ensure that I will never darken their doorstep again. I urge anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience with even a modicum of customer care to steer clear of Masala Lounge. If an owner is always quoting “I’ll tell the chef not to do this on your dishes”. Then surely it’s a grave concern of no consistency in their kitchen and perhaps a high turn over of chefs for their restaurant. When it comes to Indian cuisine, I consider myself a seasoned traveler, not just a tourist. I've navigated the spice-strewn alleys of Kerala's markets, relished the creamy decadence of Mughlai courts, and danced with the fiery rhythms of Andhra curries. But there's one dish that holds a special place in my heart – tandoori chicken. Having devoured it countless times, I've developed a sixth sense for its perfection. Picture this: the crimson glow of charred chicken bathed in the tandoor's kiss, a canvas painted with the vibrant hues of paprika, turmeric, and ginger. Each bite unlocks a treasure chest of flavors – the earthy warmth of cumin, the citrusy zing of coriander, and the tantalizing dance of chili heat. The texture is a symphony itself – moist flesh giving way to a satisfyingly smoky char, punctuated by the crunch of roasted spices. It's more than just food, it's an experience – a journey through India's vibrant culinary landscape on a single plate. So, when I come across a tandoori chicken that falls short, it's like a discordant note in a familiar melody. I can spot the pallid imposter from a mile away, its wan hue and anemic flavor a pale shadow of the fiery masterpiece it should be. Trust me, my palate has been seasoned by countless tandoori experiences, making me a true connoisseur of this Indian gem. There are far too many worthy restaurants in Enfield to waste your time and money on this establishment.

Good food, good service, at a good price. Nice to see Asian people there as customers too - an encouraging sign. I definitely recommend.

One of the nicest inidian takeaways I have had in a while. Shout out to Mohammed the owner who took my order before the restaurant actually opened. The food was very flavoursome and thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my family!

I have been coming to Masala Lounge since the 1980’s with friends and family. We now live in Chicago and whenever we are in town we head there for our favorite food - prepared expertly by great cooks. Tonight was no exception, my Popadoms and condiment sauces were the perfect start to our meal. Followed by the shareable appetizer platter with Onion Bhaji, Meat Samosas, & Chicken Tikka. My Chicken Curry was spiced to perfection - fairly hot and it did not disappoint complemented by Garlic Naan Bread & a Cauliflower / Potato side dish.

I went to this hotel with my son and with my husband and I came from India and the Punjabi lady’s behaviour was so friendly and I am willing to consider to go there again for the dinner and lunch purposes as I am planning to go to london in between March 2024 . AVOID AVOID AVOID. Service was slow. There’s one guy who doesn’t smile. Definitely not welcoming. Food was nothing special. I had a dodgy stomach following day so something isn’t cooked right in the kitchen. Took 30 mins to order food. EVERYONE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The restaurant was empty but we got top food and service.

I went to masala lounge with my family for a celebratory meal and had a mediocre experience. The music was good and happy that coke is served in glass bottles. However, the food was a let down. We had lamb curries and the meat was very tough. It would have been nice if the waiter had warned us that the plates were hot as I nearly burnt my hands as I was unaware. Also it was very concerning that flies started to attack us when we were eating our meals. Lastly we found it overpriced and there was service without a smile. Sadly I cannot recommend this place.

In Worcester for biz for the first time. Did the oldest pubs in Worcester thing and got hungry. Lovely maid recommended Masala Lounge, she wasn't wrong. Went in with takeaway to my premier Inn in mind! Beautiful staff offered me a seat and when I thought I knew what I wanted, they said "Have you tried this"? No. Was the answer. So I ordered it. I got a complimentary beer while I was waiting. I also had conversation with the attending staff that doesn't fall into the banter category, they were actually conversing in real time about real stuff!! Respect. The food was excellent. The restaurant is better. Weird, huh?

Lovely little restaurant, food was very good and the service was excellent,

I waited nearly 2 hours for a delivery when I was told it would be no more than hour. When the food arrived it was cold. To top it off they forgot 1 of the dishes. After warming up the food the taste of the chicken Pathia was identical to the chicken Madras. Very bland. After complaining they offered me a free replacement dish for the one they missed.

Been awhile. Tonight’s offering was fantastic. The onion bhaji is second to none, perfect crisp flavourful and worth every penny at £3.50 a portion. I could eat this with the pickles and popadoms and sleep a happy man. I order a mushroom sag madras most times I come here and it has been awhile since my last visit (a year or two) but on this offering I have to wonder what was I thinking? Perfect together. On its own the main lacks a little focus but the weight of the cauliflower and potatoes bring it all together beautifully. … there is always a single malt to finish me off. Happy days.

I love the food here; however, I really dislike the way you cannot rely on your takeaway order being correct. I can’t tell you how many times I have ordered takeaway and had bits missing - quite irritating when you have ordered a takeaway because you are tired and can’t be bothered. Disappointing. If you order a takeaway, ensure you make them empty the contents of your bag and check its content before you leave.

All i can say is go on your own experience and not what you read the food was amazing the service was exceptional and good value for money did not find it expensive. Thanks to the staff for a great experience.. See you again in the near future.

Good food , attentive service and reasonably priced

This is a difficult review to write. On arrival I was seated, with my family and we were given menus. 20 mins later we said we were ready to order. 10 minutes later we again said we were ready to order. 10 minutes later we said we were still ready to order and could we get some drinks. seven minutes later someone came and took our food and drinks order. When the food arrived the food was beautifully presented and prepared. I found each element of our meal not unpleasant but bland. The price was competitive but this did not compensate for the poor service and bland meal. I think it unlikely I would choose to return here for a meal.

Just love Massala lounge. Food is always super fresh and quality is best in town. Mohammed and the rest of the staff are always attentive and there for guidance on trying new dishes. Would highly recommend.

Friendly Family run place. Clean, reasonable, and good quality. Haven't actually eaten in which I am sure is probably better than take away.

Worst service ever. They are listed on uber but the current order is still being prepared 1hr 20min later. And the restaurants phone is constantly engaged. Uber won't let me cancel so I'm going to have to reorder somewhere else, losing £40. Disgraceful service.

Rude!! I ordered a delivery and waited the full waiting time of 80 mins for it to arrive but it never did! I called the restaurant to enquire and get an update and the staff rudely questioned why I’m only calling now and that their driver said they delivered it to me so there’s nothing they can do. A complete lie! My door buzzer never rang and I didn’t have the food; hence the phone call! Why would I be calling for my delivery if it was already delivered? I’m not even that disappointed with the failed delivery; it’s the way the restaurant handled my call so badly. The staff were so rude and the customer service was non-existent. They refused to listen or try and help. After this experience, I could never recommend this place.

Very professional atmosphere, interesting menu and excellent staff and service. It is no coincidence that the clientele is largely made up of repeat satisfied customers.

Fantastic food, lots of choice and very polite and helpful staff! Always come here after a day at the cricket and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and the attention from the staff is first class. Looking forward to our next visit in July!

The food in this place is outstanding. So much flavour and also very reasonable prices. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food took a long time to arrive and then also it took a long time for them to bring us our bill. To be honest though I would still come back.

we went here for a curry on Saturday night never been before but been recommended by so many people so decided to give it a try its well worth it we will be back i highly recommend the vindaloo it really hits the spot

The meat and chicken was very nice but the sauce was watery and tasteless. The veggie curry was surprisingly sparse of vegetables, just what looked like a spoonful of mix veg from a tin ,half a potato and a lot of water. Blandness personified, looked like nothing,, tasted of nothing, thin and watery total waist of money.

Popped in on the sper of the moment. The place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. We were sat down straight away and we asked for a little help as for one of us did not know what to have .The waiter recomend a couple of meals which turned out to be very nice. We all liked the meals and will By going back with the family soon.

I’m not sure if my problem was due to it being a Monday evening but this was the worst Indian that I’ve ever tasted. Taste & quality both terrible. I did give the restaurant the opportunity to collect my order & refund my money but as I ordered through Uber they were not interested. I through away a bag of food costing £30 as in my opinion it was not at all fit for consumption. I did give the restaurant a chance to collect my food but as they were not interested I have no choice to give you a one star. That one star would be for the mint sauce as that was the only item that looked ok. The lamb dish was very tough & dry, chicken tikka masala was not at all as it should be. The cream on top even curdled. The quality of the chicken was disgusting. The rice sticky & clumped together. The Bombay potatoes again nothing like they should taste. The naan wet & sweaty. The mango chutney was a pot of orange, sticky goo, not at all a chutney. I’ve never been so disappointed, imagine spending £30, waiting one hour, then to find that your order is inedible so you still have to cook at gone 9pm anyway. Big mistake & not worth taking the chance! Especially that our Enfield food caddy’s are so small & bulging already over the Xmas period made even disposing a huge bag of uneaten food another problem. Sorry Masala lounge but you could have taken my order back & returned my money to order else where or even offered to re deliver a decent meal, but telling me to contact Uber when they only delivered my food was a lousy effort to please a very disappointed customer.

Friendly and helpful staff.the food was delicious and excellent value for money.we paid £35 per head for set menu and drinks .we were totally stuffed !!.fruit sweets and dessert included even though it said it was extra.a free drink was also included.

We decided to return to the restaurant after some 13 months, could have gone another 13 without feeling the least bit deprived. The food quality is above average, we’re as a family a creature of habits, so with exception of a couple of dish’s to feel different we eat very similar dishes so are fairly well placed to express an opinion. We’d booked fearing not getting a table but much to our surprise there only two other patrons. Given this fact would have expected an express service but took prompting from my daughter to get waiter to take our order. Preoccupied with Take Away orders. It was either this or the fact waiter was a bit put out when we declined to have any drinks, three of us were suffering from a cold and instead requested hot water to drink. It’s not always everyone will want a drink as proved by a young family that came in several minutes after us. Why the waiter seemed surprised is baffling 🙊. The good news is if you want a well proportioned meal then by all means eat here.

Live locally to the restaurant so Im lucky I get delivery and if I need a good curry thats who I call. Authentic and delicious food. Friendly staff who remember you and make you feel special. Highly recommend.

Friendly service and good value for money which is the reason for the 2 star rating. I have eaten here before and enjoyed it however this evening the chicken tikka biryani we ordered was tasteless as was the side of vegetable curry.

El menú es variado y la comida es excelente y hay algo para todos con diferentes grados de calor / especias. Los camareros eran amables, pero no muy atento.Teníamos pollo Muli como nuestro plato principal con arroz de coco y fue realmente bueno.Pequeñas cosas decepcionan a este restaurante. La decoración estaba muy cansada y había un montón de desorden visible cerca del bar.A los 50 años, sin desierto y solo cerveza, no era caro, pero por el ambiente y el servicio tampoco era barato.Los probaría para llevar.
