Nice food great customer service

One of the coziest places in Birmingham! The food was one of the best iv eat in bham so far, and the service was brilliant aswell.i tried there Ghosht Achari tht wasnt too tangy and the meat was tender and no smell,and i tried there Chicken Jelfrezi ,it was tasty and i tried there dessert and tea,and that was very delicious and delightful.This place will be number one for me in bham .

Matka mutton Bhuna was a bit too oily. Tasted absolutely lovely though. Big portion with loads of meat. Still hot when it arrived. Fast delivery. Came with complimentary salad n sauces. Tandoori roti was a major let down. Harder than my nans toe nails in places and cold. Tough to eat. Came wrapped in paper. Should be using foil. Hence the 4 stars. Could easily have been 5. Would defo order the curry again. Banging it was.

It's a small place and the seats are stuffed, Food is not bad, I would suggest you to try once . Guys are helpful and try to give you their best service. I wish they had a bit more space to sit. We were five and honest speaking we struggled to sit properly

An amazing restaurant in the area. Their Matka Biryani is mind blowing. My biryani cravings were satisfied after months. In addition, their staff is very welcoming! Suchna was really a lovely host, who treated me and my wife very well. She made the restaurant feel like home. It's new restaurant in the area and I'm sure the restaurant and Suchna will go a long way

Food, Hospitality and overall experience is a 10/10. The curry reminds you of a genuine fresh curry and by far the best in Birmingham. THE BEST CURRY AND BIRYANI SPOT ON LADYPOOL ROAD

Fantastic Restaurant with one of the best biryanis. I ordered samosa chaat , tikka burger and matka biryani! To be honest all these things were 10/10. Staff was welcoming and place was nice. At the end i will say the tea was fantastic 🔥

This place is a real hidden gem on Ladypool Rd absolutely awesome food great service too and Hammad and his team are always on hand to ensure everything is on point the food is probably some of the finest authentic desi food in Birmingham been here 3 times this month and never disappointed keep it up and no doubt you will need to move in to a bigger place soon

Ordered a shake & chai. Chai was nice, especially the clay cup concept. Shake was good, it's quite thick if that's what you like. Was overcharged at £8 but maybe was an oversight. Otherwise a good place to visit

As a regular visitor from Bradford, I often try different food places in Birmingham. Was recommended to try Popular Balti but I thought let's try this place (based in reviews). Upon arrival I tried a little small talk with the waitress who was very dull. I asked for recommendations but she simply listed the items on the menu. After ordering, the poppadoms promptly arrived, however before having our first bite, another gentlemen asked if our food was ok? We tried a simple safe starter "Chicken Wings', of which were overly cooked and burnt, nevertheless we tried a piece and decided it wasnt for us. Alerting the waitress who looked confused, so I asked her to remove them walked away without an apology. The main course arrived Lamb Achari, which was rather disappointing, receiving a very small portion if mainly bones and fatty meat. The mangi lassi was watered down and flat. The staff noticed we hadn't had the lassi or the wings and did nothing to rectify the situation, when asking for the bill, we were charged in full. After complaining about the wings, I was charged for eating the 2 pieces which we tasted. At this point I decided to pay and walk out in disgust. I wasn't rude, remained polite, not everyone does Dont come here guys... Amateurs 👎🏻

First visit I had pure veg and the saag (spinach) tasted amazing with the parata (not frozen) hand made. Mix vegetables curry was lovely too. And nice Naan to go with it. Second time I visited just 2 days ago and had Matka Gosht.. have to day it was the best I have had I'm a long time. The roti complimented the spiciness of the Gosht (Meat). Was given Desi Tea after which was the best I have had, again in a very long time. It reminded me of drinking dhud Patti (milky tea) in pakistan 🇵🇰. Over all lovely. Shame I did not take any pictures. Next time I will being some pictures back.

I was on a business trip from east midlands n i had to stay over for the night...i checked on google to see where i can get some tasty food n time was 3am...i was in sparkbrook so masala chowk being highly rated i thought il give it a try...mashaAllah ive enjoyed evthing..food ..service and the matka tea at the end..i giv them 10/10 nd will recomend them to friends n family nd surely come back again....super.

Amazing food and service! The matka mutton biryani was to die for! The mango lassi hiwever wasn't so great as it lacked mango flavour. We ended our lunch with a hot cuppa matka tea!

Great food amazing people very friendly especially the owner very nice guy recall his name being mardy opened till late hours. We visited with family ordered large mix grill which had great variety and moist very saucy, 4 naan which where filled with garlic & lamb Karahi is excellent we asked for spicy came just right can taste the freshness. Also outstanding customer service always checked up on us. keep up the good work see you soon. Also just to point out food served in a very traditional manner. 10/10 for me.

To start things off I generally think this restaurant has amazing food and service i really do think everyone should come down and try this beautiful cuisine! One person in particular who works at masala chowk his name is Tahoor Raja amazing customer service I truly felt at home.

Food and service great. Had all veg curries, made fresh, the saag is very good as was the daal. Parathas on the house. Mango lassi excellent. Didn't have smash burgers, so your regular cheese burger is standard takeout stuff, give it a miss and come for the curry. Will definitely be back for the non veg curries

Ordered large mix grill but masala fish was missing which was whole point of ordering large mix grill. Charcoal Chicken was too charred and all grilled items were over salted. Kids burgers were plain jane chicken burgers. Disappointed

All the food was great, really tasty and interesting. We had a fish curry and yellow daal, with some naan and rice. Chai tea was also beautiful. Great service from the staff.

Ordered on uber, the food that i received was very nice. The sheesh kebabs and the drink for the meal was missing.

A new Pakistani restaurant on Ladypool Road. Lamb and chicken karhai were authentic and I would highly recommend them with their tandoori roti. The “desi chai” was lovely.

Really good authentic curries and biryani served in clay dishes with clay lids. Been wanting a good authentic spot for a while and this is it which serves our Asian taste buds well The clay is a brilliant idea, insulates the food and keeps it hot for a long while as long as you remember to put the lids back on after plating up.

Found the desi tea really bland, had no flavour or sweetness, compared to other desi teas I've had. had to add sugar once I got home to save it, please also provide 2 cups or some sort of cup holder as it's really hot to take out just some feedback for you guys 👍🏻

Absolutely wonderful experience at Masala Chowk last night. Food was delicious and fast service. Karahi was delicious. We have tried many places but here you will truly taste authenticity of masalas.
