I had a simple lunch of sandwiches and coffer, on my way to an appointment. I have been here before and, yet agin, I was struck by the friendly, positive attitude of the staff. some are paid, some are volunteers ( it supports a local hospice charity). The place was clean, staff were helpful and I felt I had fair value for money. But what was even better was the way in which the two ladies who were serving handled a customer who had not been before and did not find it easy to understand what was available etc. They were positive, helped this lady choose a suitable lunch and then served her quickly and well. I found it hard to believe that one lady was a volunteer, she was a real credit to the organisation. Strongly recommend.

Ordered a hot chocolate and a bacon sandwich, the hot chocolate came out first and looked and tasted lovely. The bacon sandwich came out and took one bite and luckily didn't chip a tooth. The bacon was nearly black and rock hard. Returned the sandwich explaining and they made another for us. It complete surprise they made another bacon sandwich completely the same. First time I've eaten a very crunchy sandwich. Won't be returning.

Just had the best afternoon tea at the hospice shop. The food was delicious and the staff looked after us exceptionally well. I go there regularly but today was the first time I'd had afternoon tea there. I'll definitely be having another one. Thank you everyone. Fabulous afternoon and highly recommend.

Such a great café in a pretty park in an unexpected location. The staff are always really friendly, the food is fresh and the coffee is very good! A number of seating areas are available depending on your needs – a welcoming inside space, outside benches with large parasol to shelter from visitors from the sun or rain, and uncovered tables in the park.

I had looked round the shop, bought some books from the (very well stocked) second-hand charity bookshop and then went for a coffee and a snack. Courteous staff, great value for money, pleasant place to have a coffee and a snack or a light lunch. It's run in aid of a charity so don't expect all the trimmings but it is clean, well run and gave very good value for money. My only complaint is that they don't advertise themselves as much as they should. Get the word out - you can enjoy a good coffee and support a very good cause !

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and just... honest. This place is not pretentious, it doesn’t have a quirky theme - it’s just a really nice coffee place to visit. Wish more places were like this.

It isn't rocket science; all you need to run a good tea-shop is to put on good quality hot drinks, good quality cakes of the usual carrot-cake, Victoria spong, coffee and walnut, chocolate cake variety, add a sandwich and burger with chips choice or an all-day breakfast of good quality and you should haul in the customers. Provide sufficient soft and hard seating and they will keep coming back. This tea-shop does a decent drink and then fails on every other point.

Not well advertised, you have to walk through Charity shop and go upstairs. No real issues, nice coffee and friendly staff. I just don't think to go back to often as prefer others in town.

Generally stop here for a coffee-break whilst shopping. Good, great value refreshments without the frills whilst having the satisfaction of knowing that the profits are going to the hospice.

I ordered a tuna sandwich with side salad and it was delicious, well presented and very substantial. I originally thought the price of £4.75 a little steep but it was good value.

This is the first lowest rating i have done. Having heard good things about this place me and the wife thought we would give it a try, after asking about the food that was on the menu which i was told was ok for me to eat after seeing one thing with mayo on thought i best ask and was told the toastie i had ordered didnt have any on, so when it came i will let you guess what it had on mayo, so when i went back to the counter to inform them about it i was told they are all premade and there wasnt a lot they could about just offer me toast and shug on the shoulders, very poor and the staff dont seem to know what there doing much aswell.

Situated above the charity shop, this is a lovely little spot for working, relaxing or meeting friends or family. The window seats are lovely, and make the space very light. The selection of light lunches, homemade cakes and drinks is great, and they have a loyalty card scheme on hot drinks too. The staff in particular are warm, friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

The pictures are confusing, the first picture of the Hospice shop front in the high street. This shop in the past was my favourite book shop, the shop frontage is still magnificent. My review is for the timber clad coffee shop in Mary Stevens park. The modern look of the building has been controversial but I like it and it fits very comfortably alongside the old house. There is plenty of seating inside and out.Service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are very good. I had a very well crafted coffee, but others had tea and we all agreed it was good.

This is my regular coffee shop and I visit weekly. I've always had great service from the staff, whom I think are mostly volunteer. Great coffee, free WiFi and nice teacakes the only downside is I wished they opened for longer.

A good place to have coffee/tea with cake. They serve also soup, Paninis, jacket potatoes & similar...Attractive outside area with picnic tables. Take a stroll around Mary Stevens Park - almost coming to the end of lengthy and attractive refurb and improvement works.

This fantastic coffee shop is located above Mary Steven Hospice Shop on the high street, in the old Mark and Moody building. The atmosphere is relaxing, modern decoration and free WiFi. The coffees are some of the best you will find anywhere and a lovely selection of cakes and lunch items are always available.I love to try the ever changing flavoured Latte of the day along with a toasted teacake :-) The best thing about the whole thing is knowing that the profits are used to run the local hospice which does a fantastic job in the local community!

Was really quiet in there but it was a Tuesday night. Went for my dad's 80th birthday. The staff were really friendly and did everything they could to welcome us. Had a selection of meals which were all tasty. Would definitely recommend and would go again. Thank you to the 3 ladies that made the celebration a great family evening

This pub is one of the winners in the shake up of Stourbridge pubs entering the 2025 Good Beer Guide. Everything you would expect from a Black Country Ales house - large selection of well kept, fresh cask ales; comfortable seating; smart decor and efficient, friendly service.

Was really looking forward to going here as we had heard some good reports about the food. But we were really disappointed pasta dish, fish and chips were over done, sea bass full of bones tried to send fish and chips back the waitress who we told just walked off not great
