Very tasty food and reasonably priced but vegetable curry and rice nearly cold especially the kakiage tempura. A group of staff members were very noisy as the restaurant had few customers. The upstairs double swing doors were left to swing into my face as a member of staff came through. Seems to be a team problem at this restaurant and staff are poorly trained so very unprofessional. I will not be returning.

Okay service even though they left customers at the door not directing them where to go. The food was not for me at all, I didn't enjoy it and found it expensive. The chicken tasted processed and not fresh but I think its the style of the food maybe. My friend enjoyed his but he had fish. Customer service was fine, clean tables and environment.

Thought we would try Marugame Udon while we were in O2 Arena. Never tried this place before and honestly it was beautiful I had the Beef Nikutama, you choose your bowl size. Very tasty and full of flavor. Staffs of the place are also great, very welcoming. 100% give them a try if you’re near one or want to try something new.

May I first start with saying that we used to like the restaurant and had been visiting on a regular basis. Unfortunately we would not be returning neither to the O2 nor to any of their other shops in the future. We walked into the restaurant with no other customers standing in line. One of the ladies behind the counter saw us and when catching our eyes quickly turned away. There were about 6 staff members behind the counter with us the being the only customers and no one greeted us. We took trays and stood at the ordering point. They were just chatting to each other as if we were not there. Some of them roamed aimlessly some tended to other things. I caught the eyes of one of the staff members and she then prompted one of her colleagues who mumbled something that sounded like ‘thought she was doing it’ and moved over in a most dissatisfied manner. I ordered the beef and the woman put some ingredients in the ball and simply left it on the counter stating that it was the beef dish. I noticed there was no egg in it and asked and was told ‘oh, we have shortage so we won’t be putting any but you will get a discount at the counter’. I would have thought that if the dish would be missing one of the two vial ingredients she should have at least bothered to tell us this before making it. She did not even bothered when she had finished it. I asked if they could substitute with something else and was told no. I could however pay for extra beef if I wanted to. Great help! Apparently there was a sign at the door for shortage of eggs. I looked after and the shrift size was about that of a book. I guess it covered for the small print. I was wondering if I should just walk off but took the dish nevertheless. Got to the tempura section. There was hardly any variety. Could not see the tempura sauce so asked if they had any and was responded to in a very patronizing manner that it was ‘there’, somewhere rather further away from where the tempuras were. Got to the counter and received the enviable discount of 50 PENCE for the missing egg! Deal! Went then to look for the sesame oil and was told ‘we don’t do this anymore’. My glass had food stuck on the outside of it that had not washed properly and the cutlery was disgusting. Going there wasted not only £18 I am never getting back but also ruined my lunch break which I was looking forward to and wasted my time. Shame as I used to like the place but will not be rushing back in a hurry.

Avoid this place! I have no allergies but after one mouthful of the pork noodle soup, my throat closed up. Also, you have to time your visit right as some of the sides weren't cooked when we ordered at the counter. There's no table service so you grab a tray and order at the kitchen (like a school canteen). Never again!

Visited here when working in London alone and staying nearby. It was a quiet Tuesday night with no event on at O2, but was still relatively busy. Apart from not creating your oder at a machine it has a very Japanese feel about. Pick your dish and size, add sides if you want and deserts and drinks the pay. All nice and easy and straight forwards. Friendly staff, wonderful aromas and good decor. I had large Katsu chicken with Udon noodles, chicken and veg Gyōza and a sweet potato frita, a beer and a dotayaki pancake all for £21.65. Very reasonable, filling and tasty. Will definitely come again and bring others

Not too busy today, but I found it off-putting to see a pretty hairy chef handling the udon with no gloves! The majority of the trays have stain on it. The kitchen (section for broth or sauce) looks chaotic and ‘dirty’ (ie stain of sauce on lid, etc). Food is okay - I am disappointed by the udon texture, not bouncy at all. Maybe my expectation is too high. The fish bonito broth is yummy but not hot enough. Value wise - it claims to be The Best Value restaurant; but I had better udon in Sushimania at cheaper price when it’s half price during lunch time.

Shortly after Marugame opened at the O2 in 2021, the food was excellent and good value, the crew was enthusiastic, and the restaurant was spotless. Came back in December 2022 to find the food is only OK and noticeably more expensive. The crew is still friendly, but the cheerfulness is gone. Dirty seats, sticky tables, no containers left at the condiment station, dirty cutlery (!!), too. Still like the Marugame concept, but will try a different location next time I'm in town.

Di solito non ci si aspetta molto da un ristorante che si trova nel food court di un centro commerciale, ma in questo caso la sorpresa è stata davvero positiva. Piatti semplici, ben preparati e a prezzi ottimi. Menzione speciale agli udon e al riso al curry.

Wonderful food, amazing atmosphere, lovely staff. Ibrahim was extremely friendly and helped us with our first ever order at Marugame. He suggested we get the Udon Chicken Katsu and claimed it was the best you can buy, he wasn’t wrong! We had a wonderful time and the staff were great, highly recommend.
