Sticks'N'Sushi Greenwich in Greenwich

I came to this restaurant back in December 2020. I found it over busy and staff were overwhelmed. We sister quite some time to be served, once the food came it was nice but for me it was a bit overpriced for what it was. I would certainly say to anyone who likes sushi to give this place a go for the experience but there are plenty of other places that would be similar in quality and for less expensive prices but having said this all in all it was a nice dining experience.

Beautiful place to spend time with friend or family. The personal were very friendly. Highly recommend it to visit. Kids menu was beautifully served. All food was delicious.

Very disappointing, very unattentive staff and the event was ruined by the manager on shift who persisted and abruptly interrupted our experience which led to cold unattractive food, whilst the issues were raised no resolution was granted on-site or after.

Sticks n’Sushi never disappoints! I’ve been a few times to Greenwich and Canary Wharf restaurants. Love to discover new dishes and drinks. This time I had scallops, grilled Argentinian prawns and Alaska rolls. Was nice to discover a new flavour - grilled prawns were delicious! Recommending non-alcoholic Sakura spritz - so refreshing and good timing - right after I enjoyed seeing cherry blossom in Greenwich park. I’d only say, it’d be good to have tables further apart, as they’re placed in some areas too close to each other. Service is immaculate!

The oyster starter, pork and scallop skewers were divine. Disappointing we had to ask for our saki three times! Lovely service when we had it but just understaffed!

Way below my expectations. Very nice atmosphere and okay service, however sushi tasted no better than a pack from supermarket. To be honest, it was the worst sushi I've ever had at a restaurant. Cooked dishes, such as salmon teriyaki, were slightly better.

Amazing staff - very caring, friendly and professional. Sushi masterclass for kids is just superb! Well organised, engaging and fun. And you get the whole box of sushi and full goodie bag after! Will definitely come back!

Still one of my favourites. Hadn't been here in probably 6 years (used to be almost a weekly). Was always upper end of mainstream but they have successfully elevated beyond that (prices have followed that but still very balanced). One of the few places where both the 'sticks' - more meat/izakaya oriented and the sushi (and derivatives) are very balanced and equally good rather than one being an afterthought for the other.

I searched for food directly after coming out of Greenwich Observatory. I saw this sushi restaurant was good and wanted to come in and try it. It’s really delicious. I like it. My favorites are BEEF TATAKI, SHAKE CARPACCIO, EBI BITES (tempura shrimp), SHAKE TERIYAKI (Salmon ), SHAKE TATAKI (Salmon) are all delicious🤭😋 From the Greenwich Observatory out directly search food, see this sushi restaurant is good want to come in to taste, really delicious 😋 very like it. the most favorite is BEEF TATAKI, SHAKE CARPACCIO, EBI BITES (tempura shrimp), SHAKE TERIYAKI (Salmon ), SHAKE TATAKI (Salmon) I think i like every things🤭feel delicious 😋

Solid 4.5 for the price. A little too much rice in the rolls. It's really nice for a "chain". I would go again. 10/10 for an appealing menu with some Danish humour.

Came here on Valentine’s Day for a late dinner so it was quite busy as expected and the tables were very close to each other. The sushi at Sticks’n’Sushi is always quite tasty however, you have to order a lot to be full up. The sake we ordered was delicious. The sushi roll was very good. The sashimi selection was tasty but portions were very small. Dessert was disappointing and didn’t look like the photo in the menu.

Sticks and sushi is a very special restaurant for me. I had tried the set which had multiple choices of food: sushi,sashimi, beef tartare, beef barbecue and others. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to eat seafood or sushi. Great service, it’s better to book a table in advance as they are getting quite busy especially during weekends.

Although the food tasted good I got bad food poisoning which completely ruined my night, so won't be coming back

Consistently delivers great food.

My partner and I booked for his birthday and the absolutely fantastic Lina served us! If we could have tipped her, we would have, but we were informed the service charge is all they can take so instead I'm leaving this review. She was attentive, anticipated what we needed, and was so helpful in making substitutions to what we ordered (we ordered the Carpe Diem and I have an intolerance to chicken -- I know, I know, its ridiculous) but she dealt with it like a champ, made us aware of any ensuing price differences, was friendly, patient--all of the good things. I hope this location, team, and management know how lucky they are to have her. She made our night really special and is really just a star. Thank you for everything, Lina!

Came here for late dinner to celebrate New Year’s Eve and spent nearly £200. The service was great. Atmosphere was disappointing with lots of loud speaking diners - probably because it is new year eve and the majority of the clientele are a bit high on alcohol - so it is as almost impossible to have any proper conversation unless you decide to join in. The most disappointing aspect is the food! I understand it is Japanese fusion but the over-riding flavour is sourness (either lots of lemon on it), saltiness and mayonnaise! Sashimi should be eaten plain, the star of the dish should be slices of fresh fish rather than chopped up pieces with an over-riding taste of mayonnaise and drizzled with lemon. The duck sticks were simply awful - you wouldn’t know which ‘animal’ if one wasn’t told in advance. Desert (Matcha and chocolate) was heavy - the chocolate pudding is hard and nasty as if it has just been partially thawed from the freezer.

We were served absolutely beautifully at your location in Greenwich! It was a birthday celebration and we were made to feel really welcome with two children in tow who also had such a wonderful experience. Our main server for the duration of our meal was excellent we are really grateful to have had her! This is a very firm favourite restaurant experience of ours now - unanimously!

Lovely staff, but the food is nowhere better than other less pricey sushi chains.

We went to two different locations ( one in London and one in Windsor) and both were fantastic. Lots of gluten free options and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

We had to wait around a little bit for our reserved table but they made it for it and were apologetic. Highly recommend the black cod

I had the green garden vegetarian platter! Bit pricey but Good value for the amount of food. I had the Matcha mocktail and crab balls for starter, it was mainly cheese. A relaxing time we had !

My son and I stopped by at Sticks n Sushi in Greenwich randomly because we were in a mood for sushi. We were around that area while we were visiting the Royal Observatory nearby as tourists. Amazing fish quality and loved the cocktail as well. The crab cakes were yum. The customer service was friendly as well. My son wanted to visit this specific sushi place again but I promised him that next time we are in Greenwich we will come here. Highly recommend!

The food is impeccable. Expensive, but at least it's worth it. I like they price their vegetarian food fairly compared to the meat options. Only downside is the vibe in the lighter part of the restaurant. Felt more like a mall food court, sharing the space for staff to eat their dinner.

It’s disappointing that businesses refuse to let non clients use their bathrooms. If someone comes in asking to use the washroom, what is so wrong about saying yes. I was told to use to go to the pub instead 🤦🏽‍♀️ It’s a basic need ppl edit: there was nothing wrong with their bathroom and it was not busy at 5 PM. Thanks

All your staff were very happy and courteous. Knew their dishes and recommendations. We decided to eat there as the restaurant was near the O2 arena and wanted somewhere nice to eat rather than around the arena. I Would happily travel to come back there again even though it’s really far from us. Great staff and amazing food.

Had the set menu when we visited for lunch with cocktails. The food was okay, I’d say chose your own rather than set menu. The cod and miso sticks were good, the edamame was seasoned very well. Some of the ceviche was great. The duck stick with egg yolk wasn’t great though, wouldn’t order again. The scallops were good, the wagu tartar didn’t have much taste. A lot of it tasted quite sweet too. Staff were friendly and attentive though.

Everything we ate was amazing and the serving portions were generous so we were well satiated at the end of the meal!

Absolutely love the staff. Our wonderful waitress Ryesha did an amazing job yesterday at welcoming me and my partner. Probably the best interior for a sushi restaurant I’ve seen so far. Amazing food so a big thank you to the kitchen team. A lovely vibe altogether. Will be coming again soon!

Wonderful experience as always!

The came out in drib and drabs. We were placed near the walk way which the staff kept on opening the back door therefore small little flies started to come in and fly around our food! To top it off because they kept on opening the door, I had to put my coat on because it became extremely cold. When leaving, I mentioned my gripe with the manager and she said she doesn't work at this branch usually to take it up with the actual manager that normally runs the Greenwich branch!!

One of my top 10 meals in my entire life. I give sticksnsushi a higher rating than ROKA (even though i love the food) in flavours, freshness of fish and the value for the money spent. Every mouth full was heaven. Completely satisfied and in disbelief the generous portions and outstanding value for money. Absolute fan and impeccable service. 👏

A combination of Japanese hole-in-the-wall, with family environs, and a sushi joint.

We celebrated our anniversary there, service a bit sloppy with falling platters and glasses, quite noisy at times, but the food deserves recognition, delicious sushi worth every penny. As well as a very original cocktail list. Would reccomend only if you manage a table at the front or at quieter times.

Really good food, great service. We got the tuna & avocado starter (pic attached) - it would have been nice if the tuna & avocado were on the 'biscuit' thing provided. Crab croquettes were fab. Sushi was really nice, but thought the prawn and crab were either a bit salty or a bit overcooked - but was still very good. Service was great, had a lovely waitress!

We had the most amazing lunch here, the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and very attentive service. Marie very kindly gave us dessert on the house, and was very welcoming! We look forward to returning!

First off the venue is nice, the staff are great and couldn’t do enough for you and the food was well cooked and presented. Nice range of drinks too. I really wanted to like it but gosh, it works out very expensive for not a lot of food. We’re not sushi fans so went for the sticks. I found them to be dry and unless you have the platters the portion sizes are very small. The prawn skewers that apparently have gochujang on them were dry and tasteless and the steak with miso had no flavour of miso at all. On the whole nice place but maybe the sushi is the star of the show. £360 for 6 people with 2 rounds of drinks ( 2 drinking non-alcoholic) was very steep for what it was.

Excellent atmosphere, decor, and customer service! We were met with smiles and warm energy. The food was high quality and flavourful. Great value for money :) 100% recommend and will go again. The cauliflower and black truffle sauce was to die for 🔥

Visite el restaurante el 16 de agosto de 2023 con mi pareja y nuestras dos hijas. Nos sentamos rápido y sin esperas, y ya tenien preparadas pinturas y unos juegos para que las niñas estuviera agusto y entretenidas. Este trato hacia los noños, no ha sido muy habitual en nuestra esperiencia y menos si vas con carros a los restaurantes. La comida que pedimos estaba buena, sin pecar de excesos de salsas como pasa muchas veces en los restaurantes japoneses, y los makis y el takoyaki estaban perfectos, tanto de textura como de sabor. Los postres también estaban muy bien elaborados y de un tamaño adecuado. El personal es lo mejor del sitio, fueron muy agradables y la camarera dió un trato fantástico a nuestras hijas. Incluso tuvo el detalle de regalarles 4 origamis, que puede parecer una tontería pero mis hijas contentísimas. Sin duda recomiendo el sitia a la genta que le gusta la comida japonesa y si vais en familia no teneis nada de que preocuparos.

Superior, from the food to the drinks to the service. Restaurant is on the pricier side but still affordable. Everything ordered was immaculate tasting. Especially recommend the ‘Hotate Kataifi’ and the ‘Ebi Panko’. Children’s menu is really good value for money. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming, ensuring you feel comfortable as soon as you step in the door. They are all well chosen individuals. Restaurant is a good location, however I would recommend sitting at the front of the restaurant (if possible), interior is a lot classier, whereas the back reminded me of a kitchen or clinic. Will definitely be returning very soon.

We frequently dine at Sticks'n'Sushi Greenwich, both in-person and through Uber Eats orders. On our recent visit, despite having a reservation for two, they initially tried to seat us at a cramped corner table. Only when they saw our dissatisfaction did they move us to one of the three available two-seater tables. The waiter was courteous and attentive. They presented us with a summer specials menu, but when we tried to order a ceviche along with other items from the main menu, we were told it wasn't possible since the summer menu was fixed. The biggest disappointment was the food. While the sushi here is usually decent, this time it was subpar. The tuna appeared pale and lacked freshness, resembling fish that had been frozen and thawed multiple times. The sushi rolls were drenched in eel sauce, and the prawn tempura tasted stale. We spent over £110 for a not ideal experience. We believe there are better dining options for that price.

Would not have normally gone for sushi in Greenwich.... Staff here made this very pleasant indeed. Would come back again.

Greta good and atmosphere with 2 separate areas depending if you would like a quiet space or a more vibrant space close to the open kitchen.

Family night out here yesterday. We hadn't been able to make a booking, but the staff were super helpful finding a table to us where we had an hour to eat. They assured us that food would be served promptly and they weren't lying. We didn't have to wait to order and the food came amazingly fast. Everything we ordered (which was a lot) was delicious. Fair to say that kids are serious sushi lovers having spent a bit of time in Japan and grown up in Bangkok where excellent sushi is not hard to find, but nothing we ate here disappointed. Drinks were also great - parents had the house beer (a refreshing citrussy wheat bear which was a perfect accompaniment to the food and kids both enjoyed a Ramune with marble in the neck. Service couldn't have been better. We were served by a friendly, attentive and knowledgable Nepali woman who had lived in Japan who was also great with our two boys (9 and 14). We will definitely come here again the next time we are in Greenwich.

We ordered a menu and everything was as we expected. They were very attentive and we feel very welcome and the spot from the window is lovely and enjoyable. The restaurant is located closed to the market and in a aesthetic street. Everything looked quite clean and they were always checking what we need.

Tasty ish but overpriced. Sashimi was good but some rolls were too sweet.

Great choice of food,. One of the best sushi I ever had. Nice decor. Didn’t feel very welcomed though by the staff. Some of the staff very nice ( Greek lady) but not everyone. We have ordered 3 meals and only one of them arrived quickly, for the other two we had to ask after 20 mins wait. Don’t think I would go back there, maybe I would order take away as food was lovely, complimentary to the chefs.

It was a walk in and I very much enjoyed our late lunch. Service was good and the food did not disappoint. Worth a visit if you fancy some high end sushi.

A super nice experience in a very fancy restaurant. The menu is very appealing with clear imagery for each dish. The way they shot the food makes you order everything and the dishes are as presented in their photos. Taste was amazing with rich flavors and great options that could accommodate to all tastes. Service was super good and staff were friendly.

Went in on a whim and had the most amazing sushi. Spotted Sipsmith behind the bar as soon as we walked in and they made me the most refreshing G&T, perfect for a hot day of sightseeing. Then we sampled a few of their delectable cocktails for good measure! The menu is extensive and we didn't have very long, so were grateful for the set menus, which were perfect.

Wonderful place and reasonably priced. Make a reservation Fri and weekends if you visit otherwise not too difficult to get a spot. Drinks took a little longer to come but apart from that was great

Decent food but let down by poorly maintained interior (ripped seats) and an unfathomable waiter who, despite the restaurant being empty at 4.30pm refused our choice of table "becuse it was for 4 people" and insisted in placing me&friend (2) at an 8 seater table. Very odd.

Went to sticks n sushi for date night with my boyfriend. We were served by Moira and Mahesh who were both lovely. They explained everything we were served and were so attentive. 10/10 service from them and the food was amazing. Definitely coming back again! Thank you

Great place, atmosphere a bit tame in back where we sat. Seems expensive but then Sushi is Food was good and service attentive. Glad we went but wouldn't rush back . Parking is side road after 6.30pm is free, just make sure you read the signs

It is a solid sushi fusion place and as such, it is the best I've ever tried in London . Waiting staff very kind . Every single thing in the menu,a starter, sushi , dessert or even a cocktail is served nicely.

To be honest it’s my first great experience for restaurant service in London for all my 3 years living here. Food is served fast , it’s fresh and delicious, very cute atmosphere in the restaurant, and I just want to say huge thank you to the waiter Roberto, he definitely knows his work and he was amazing today. I will be definitely coming back to this place.

OH WOW, honestly it’s worth it! Plus, you have to appreciate those pretty photos they have on the delivery apps.

They didn’t give us a table so we can sit with a baby even though there were plenty of free table. Not family friendly at all 😞
