Maroush Bakehouse in Kensington and Chelsea

I ordered a takeaway. The food was really terrible.. I eat a lot of Lebanese food in London and had forgotten that i had already tried their food once before. This time the meat portions were mean and poorly cooked, the bread smelled of mildew and the houmos and mouhamara were super dry and claggy. My complaints fell on deaf ears. I looked up my account and realised that I had last eaten their food a year ago and had to call local authority health and safety, the mouhamara they served was actually mouldy. Really shockingly poor.

Food very tasty and good quality. Nice Lebanese food experience. I can suggest. Flavors and spices experience in London.

Great place as here they got it all we stopped here for some great Lebanese treats and were blown away by their tasty dishes

Very tasty food. The mixed grill consists of 3 different meats cooked beautifully. The other dish of chicken was flavoursome. Enjoyed the bread & garlic sauce. Reasonably priced for London. Waitress was lovely & friendly.

Gorgeous food. Lamb was delicious. Mixed grill gave three different meat skewers . Mint lamb, lamb and chicken. I would have liked the bread toasted or crispy with starters. Very healthy type food.

It’s delicious. Everything we ordered was flavourful and the portions are generous. Could have eaten the garlic sauce with a spoon, nothing else needed :)

BEST HUMMUS EVER!!!!! Starters were great: hummus and grilled halloumi with pita bread, simply Amazing!! Vegetables and basmati rice very tasty but still not heavy!!! I must come here for an authentic experience but such a great taste!!! Waiter was so kind!!

The food here is excellent - absolutely loads in a set meal starter and the taste is exquisite. I actually couldn't finish my main, even though it was delicious! I feel this is less of a special occasion restaurant, and more of a meet-with-friends, or grab a meal on the way home place - purely because the decor and atmosphere are fairly basic.

Near where we were staying and recommended by someone I trust BUT it was really awful. The baba ganoush was ok but not great. The bread and the soup came cold. The soup was supposed to be lentil but it was a thin broth that tasted like split pea watered down. The cold bread was hard. Then we were served Chicken Schwarma which not hot and very fatty. We left most of it. It was served with a garlic and a chili type sauce. We left hungry and disappointed. The place has a great location and a charming environment--although the whole room was cold and drafty.

We could tell from the moment we walked in it would be exactly what we wanted. Warmly spiced chicken shawarma and mixed grill were served with traditional sides and airy, soft flatbread as well as homemade red and white sauce. We are new to London and could tell this is a place that locals enjoy, and with good reason. Thank you for the wonderful attention to your food and service!

Smart restaurant with nice menu. Rice pudding was a bit of a disappointment, we expected something spicy and interesting but it was basic rice pudding in a plastic tub.

We have been to a few of these we always order the lamb shawarma which is superb with a nice Lebanese side salad and some lemon and mint drinks .

I only ordered lamb/chicken shawarma wraps for family of 3 and they were absolutely delightful. They tasted just as lovely and fresh as you would get them in the middle east, also my request in regards to how i would like some of the wraps was adhered too. Great quality food but its pricy and the quantities are small.

The restaurant forgot the bread for the orders which meant several items could not be consumed during the meal.

The food from Maroush is always on point. However they should have not sent out the Hummus as it was spoilt. There was an issue with the fridges at the supplier which was relayed to the Restraunt - but someone decided it was a great idea to send out an item which was spoilt. We ordered again the next day . This was just on this day. Every other occasion the food is fresh and tasty. I have been visiting The restaurants since the 90s . We ❤️ Maroush
