Great food and drinks and exceptional service. The manager Jamie went over and over to accommodate us with our food. Highly recommend a visit. Great choice of wines especially Rose.

Walked past this big pub In Bloomsbury at lunchtime and popped in for lunch. It was a very disappointing experience on every level! Greeted (although that’s a misnomer frankly) by a grumpy South African guy. 6 real ale hand pumps (this is a Greene King pub): only 1 working. I ordered Scampi & chips and mushy peas for £13.45. Very poor! It was cold when it arrived. The portion was disappointingly small. I wasn’t any sauces (eg tomato). I was not given a knife and fork but two knives. I asked for a fork and one was passed across the bar without a word of apology. Total bill with a pint of Guinness was £20.15 for a very sub-standard lunch. If anyone from Greene King reads these reviews: send a mystery shopper please as your manager/tenant/lessee is not doing a good job…unless this is your normal standard. This is a pub that will have relatively few locals and lots of visitors/tourists and I hope they don’t judge British food and hospitality by an experience like this. We can do much better!! I felt ashamed to be British and a Londoner

Tourist in London and swung in here for a pint and to watch some soccer, was greeted with great service that was very friendly, helping point me to the best local beer on tap and what to order for shareables. Great wings and pulled beef croquettes! Would highly recommend for anyone in the area, and would visit again next trip back to England.

Recently visited as part of a office party. The atmosphere was perfect for our office party—lively but not too noisy. We felt super at home from the get go and the staff went out of their way to help and serve whatever we needed. They have a good selection of really nice sharing platters, like chicken wings and nachos, which kept everyone well feed. The deco in the pub was really cool while keeping professional, especially the back red-light room. Will 100% rebook!

Had a fantastic time at The Marlborough Arms. It’s a beautiful looking pub with helpful and friendly staff. Although the pub was busy, the service was really good. Our food came quickly and there is a good selection of gins (my drink of choice) available. We’ll be returning soon.

A lively pub which just happens to be close to where I live. Very friendly manager and staff despite the busy atmosphere with lots of university and office workers. An odd combination of excellent and poor. Excellent: Beer (though shame that Greene King is now Chinese-owned:)friendly and quick service; good ambience; very good chicken pie Poor: the place was cold (radiators not on despite it being a cold January evening); mushy peas were not mushy peas (though in our limited experience of London pubs, this seems typical; not enough chips). They stop serving food at 6pm , which seems bizarre.

Best pub in Bloomsbury; such a great vibe, amazing food, and the bar staff are some of the best in town. Lilja in particular is really nice and always makes me feel welcome; will keep coming back!

Had worst ever experience offended by woman bartender first refusing to provide my dusk free cocktail drink despite code is valid indicating should be served or provided alternative she still declined in most rude and u profession way saying we don't stock it then asked foranger then guy called Jamie came saying out of stick and it's a free drink anyway so they can't provide so I objected saying the code is valid and on then he accuses me of being rude for a free drink anyway !!! Worst service ever and no ethics or courtesy and non trained for customer service hence must never be in this job!! Never again which is even what he said he wants too but it's the owner loss dad

Considering there are quite a few pubs on this main road in London this was also a very good choice where we stopped off for a few drinks I would visit here again I fear I did not give myself enough time as I was with a group and had to move on but from what I saw the service was very good and the choice of beers and ales was also quite varied.

Lovely British pub. Gets quite busy in the evening but overall staff was very friendly and helpful. Staff member on the shift was by herself till around 3 o'clock, even tho short staffed she handled it very well.

The most incredible service on a short staffed day by two people covering an onslaught of after work day work crowd. If you haven't been there you are missing an opportunity of a lifetime. Food was very good but the service was impeccable.

Jamie tan the place exceptionally well and kept every aspect of the venue running smoothly, despite being alone. I’m disabled and even though Jamie had many orders and customers to deal with, always kept a smile on his face and couldn’t do more to provide excellent service for everyone. On a side note; very reasonable prices for the area.

This is a fab pub! I visit regularly and always greeted by such lovely and attentive staff. The food is great and there are different seating areas, somewhere for small groups, large groups, intimate cosy chairs and outdoor seats too. I love the charging points too if I have my laptop with me. Always have a positive experience here!

It’s pretty much a northern pub in London with very good food diverse beers. Friendly atmosphere and really nice staff keep up the good work. The chief should be proud as well.

Enjoyed are time at the pub for a GOT watch party. My daughter’s a huge fan and was excited to attend this party while on vacation. The food was excellent (we’re headed back again to eat dinner there on our last night in London) and the staff was hospitable and friendly. Thanks for a good time.

Went here after our train journey as we were hungry and it looked like an ok place. We ordered a cheeseburger meal and a pie and mash. The pie came with chips and the burger without cheese. We couldn’t find anyone willing to talk to us. Ridiculous

Was here for a whisky tasting event, it was quite well attended and they do have them regularly. The event was hosted by Guy who was very knowledgeable about many whisky's and many of the distilleries in Scotland. I will definitely be coming again and maybe try some of the beers they have in the bar and try some of the food which also looked very good.

£3.15 for a bad coffee with milk they had the cheek to call a flat white !Extremely bad quality lukewarm coffee,cold milk from a plastic bottle ,no table service !

I love this pub because they have a huge selection of lagers on tap. Most pubs have 2-4 at the most; this place has about 8-10. Plus nice ciders on tap - not always offered at other places. I was so impressed I gave them 5 stars. Will be back!

Visited this pub three times during our weekend in London. We found it friendly and inviting. Bar staff helpful to recommend a decent lager ( about twelve pumps, I’d only heard of one, Amstel ).

I don't know how many times I've eaten Fish & Chips in London, but I always come back here (yes, I know it's a chain pub but it seems to have far better food than its peers). A fun student-oriented pub (but don't let that put you off...we're seniors!). A great local in Bloomsbury and close to Goodge Tube. Good selection of beers. Every time we're in London we make sure we get here once or twice!

Lovely little pub with friendly and efficient staff. Was served by a welcoming young woman who was very professional and polite. The other tow young men were also very kind and hard working. Did not have to waite very long for food and it was very nice. Good price for central london. I would recommend this business for a nice English family outing. Very well come thank you.

Dropped in for a drink only, spacious pub which offers whiskey tasting events. It's part of the Greene King Pub chain, and looking at the food coming out will be standard issue.

This place is reasonably good, although sometimes it feels like the staff take ages to notice customers at the bar. I went in there and got food yesterday; while the sausage and mash didn't look that great, it was tasty, but the peas tasted a tad undercooked.

I had a whisky experience bought for me as a gift which I used on Saturday 1st September. The experience was very well presented by a guy who knew his stuff.

Went in to watch the football. All tables were busy, but the pub was fairly quiet. I'd been walking all day so fancied a seat. Pulled a stool across and placed it at the bar. "You can't stand at the bar!" Immediately came at me from across the counter. I think she meant sit.

Marlborough Arms is a really good neighbourhood pub with a loot of good beer, and a cozy atmosphere.

We visited here in May and enjoyed a few beverages. The beer was cold and so was the white wine which was good. Great decor.
