There is an edge and a taste for life that market row has that other evening markets just can't match. This is the raw originator of innovative food and drink emerging from an untamed market in London. Check out the Harlem taproom for exclusive beers, la Nonna for twisted Italian fare, Healthy Eaters for Jamaican food as its meant to be and the cluster of embryonic startups that surprise and engage. Best of all you meet the people who make it happen.

Attended Sunday afternoon. Terribly loud music from a stand, felt like the inside of a bad club and completely unnecessary because the place was empty anyway. Overall very unpleasant experience, would not recommend. Also there is a food shop in market row that does the same, terrible music from a terrible stereo. please stop.

All the shopping for food stuff you might not get elsewhere. Eateries of world cuisines, always interesting.

I have known this shop Esme's Organic Jamaican Groceries in Market Row, Brixton and bought from Esme many times over the past 20 years. A wide variety of great fruits, vegetable and ground produce. But don't take my word for it; please visit and get some benefits too. Your health will be better for it.

This is a narrow road close to Electric Avenue in Brixton. There are a few shops on Market row itself but it looks a bit old fashioned, not entirely clean and could do with some refurbishment.

Market Row is definitely much smaller than Brixton Village by a far! But still a nice place to walk in and explore, very spacious. You'll also find a variety of Jamaican clothing, meat and fish butchers, merchandise, food and beverages, fruit stands, cash & carry etc Suitable for all customers!

Unassuming restaurant that's got more seating than it looks like from the outside. Wide range of Korean dishes, including some twists on the classic ttoekbokki, and of course fried chicken. However, as this was a quick visit, we took advantage of their Korean BBQ meals, which include generous servings of the bbq meat with white rice and kimchi as optional add-ons - the beef galbi short rib is sliced, on the bone and tasty, and the spicy gulbak chicken was boneless and packed with flavour. Chill atmosphere, K-pop soundtrack and efficient service make this a great evening stop for a delicious meal that won't break the bank - a beer and a meal came in at about £20pp.

Being based in West Norwood/Tulse Hill area for over a decade, now in Croydon, I find myself coming back here often. A gastropub by trade, paying penance to The Historic Great North Wood, this venue has an eclectic selection of food, pints and drinks. Situated at the back of the pub not on the main road, there is a garden, where you can spend the day soaking in the sun, or if it’s cold, heaters are available, whilst drinking away. A train station situated just nearby to not interfere but close enough when you’ve had one too many… Upstairs there is a function room, suitable to hold a myriad of events. Birthdays, wakes, baby showers, all types of event can be held with ever helpful, kind staff who will make sure your event runs smoothly. The pub manager, Adam, is always ready to go the extra mile, which cannot be said for other pubs in the area. The food changes from time to time yet the one thing that doesn’t change, is the quality. Sunday roasts here are a thing of beauty, really worth the trip down! This place is a must visit!!

All of the food was extremely oily and greasy. Half way through eating my husband bit on something very hard which looked like possibly a small stone. I wouldn’t buy from here again.

Extortionate prices for coffee, ordered one to go and they still charged me service which cost £4.80
