Friends at work told me about this place so obviously was excited to go, got there on a Friday just after 8pm, shop was empty, ordered 2 takeaway meals. Was told it’ll be about 20 minutes I thought yeah cool. 1 hour later I’m still sat in the shop waiting, no real apology and even after waiting for so long my bag didn’t even have all of my order in. Had to remind him about my sides that were missing and wait a further 10 mins. During my time waiting the Phone kept ringing and the chef kept coming out the kitchen to answer the phone to engage in convos on the phone yet multiple customers are waiting for food, like really? Taking more orders from the phone when you can’t even get the orders done for the customers already waiting in the shop! It literally makes no sense. Despite the hype I’d seen online the food was full of grease, greasy undercooked fries, and greasy wings, the prawns were nice as was the rice and peas but deffo ain’t goin here again. An hour for chicken wings, strips with fries and prawns is appalling.

Great service! friendly and welcoming. The goat curry was definitely worth the drive out for. Will make the effort to come back for seconds.

Been trying to find a nice Caribbean since our usual place has closed. Have tried a few new ones but have either been half the menu not available, food cold, something missing, more fat than meat or just bland! But this place pleasantly surprised me. Ordered chicken wings, fries, goat with rice & peas, dumplings, plantain and coleslaw. Everything was perfect, portion sizes, temperature and taste all good. Also has a dessert guy in there the dessert trap where I ordered a cookie dough which was really nice too.

this is quickly becoming my favourite Jamaican food place for sure, only been opened a little over a year but they’re killing it with a yummy selection of food, amazing cosy atmosphere & lovely staff. place is very welcoming to dine in, and you can enjoy the sunny weather out in the beautiful garden. the flavours are unbeatable and mouth watering, 10/10 recommend 🫶🏼

My first try of this new Caribbean cafe, which used to be 'The Shed' cafe. I had the 'Marjayz Veggie box' which included Mushrooms, Seasoned beans, 2 Veggie Sausage's, Omelette and 2 toast, instead of tomatoes I had 2 grilled Halloumi and a Latte to drink afterwards. The Latte was the best I've had anywhere. Excellent portions and very reasonable price of £6.95. There's a large TV screen which plays Caribbean type of videos. They have a garden area at the back. Plenty of off road parking. Nice and clean small cafe with friendly staff. Four Tables seating 4 per table plus seating in garden area. Although it's not on the menu they have vegan friendly meals like meatless chicken etc. Great hours 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. 2nd July Tasty Pancakes with Banana & Mixed Berries with Syrup plus fries. Refreshing Tropical Pineapple drink 🍹

I don’t live local and visited this place for breakfast after a friend recommended it as was in the area. Ordered the Brekkie Box 1 x2 for myself and my friend, I don’t eat Turkey so had asked the guy behind the counter if he could swap the Turkey rashers for an extra hash brown on one of them. When the food came, both plates were missing the toast and mushrooms (not sure what happened there…). My friend eats Turkey and the Turkey was removed from both plates (only asked for the one). When made aware, the staff apologised and did offer to make the toast etc but by the time that would have been ready our food would have got cold so we had eaten it…and no one wants toast on its own so we just said no need to do it now. Think this was a one off so given this place a 3/5 stars, as when I tried the lunch last time that was great and they didn’t charge me for a slushie, which was nice of them.

First time going today was very disappointed in there over priced tiny portions. I counted 4 pieces of meat hardly and sauce mainly rice and bone. Way too expensive for what you get I will. I will stick to my usual

I first came in and asked for a chicken burger snack box. I then asked how long It will take and asked if it can be done quickly because my work break was short. I planned to eat in firstly but the food took too long to make so I had to go take it away. The guy said that’s fine it will be done in 15 minutes and it took him 30 mins to make the food which was not what I ordered I instead got strips. He chose to get distracted by customers rather then finish my food which I had to eat 4 hours later because I went over my break just waiting for the food. When I politely said I can’t eat my food because I have to go work the cashier guy said “life isn’t all about work” what unprofessionalism is this. Honestly would not recommend.

We have eaten here a number of times. Food is always lovely and well presented. The café is really clean and Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Visited here for breakfast and dinner (mutton). Both times I was served promptly and the people working in there were friendly and helpful. The food was SO GOOD. Perfect for people who eat halal or need a veggie option too. Plenty of parking options out the front and on the road adjacent to the shop.

Ordered a take away and firstly it came in a good time, so I knew the food was cooked from fresh. Tried the sweet chilli prawns for starters and they tasted amazing. For mains I had the jerk chicken set meal and it was cooked perfectly. Would recommend and would go back for sure!

Bacon was overdone. Mushrooms and beans was cold, egg was brown and burnt. Waited over 20 minutes for the food. Would of complained but had an urgent appointment at 1pm and didn't get the food till 12.25pm so had to get up and go. Never again one of the worst breakfasts we have ever had.

The breakfast was cooked to perfection for both me and my partner. Would recommend to anyone.

We have dined at Marjayz a few times and we all agree that the food is consistently delicious and packed with flavour. The staff are friendly and the portion sizes are generous! Marjayz is a great addition to the area!

I came here for breakfast with my mother and enjoyed the experience overall. I had breakfast which caters for people who don’t eat pork, the bacon was turkey which I’ve never tasted before and really enjoyed and the sausages was chicken. The place itself is decorated so nice and the shop itself gives off a calm vibe. I had a child with me and whilst I was there I noticed that marjayz was accommodating somebody with additional needs which I found beautiful.. defo recommend10/10

Great variety, very eye appealing and great customer service. I didn’t know the specific name of the dish i wanted to eat but the staff made me so comfortable i embarrassed myself with my awful Pronunciation and was shown a menu in detail. Food came out quite quick had splendid meal to end my busy day. Will defiantly make this my regular dinner spot with the wife and kids Thank you Marjayz for having me!

I had a great experience today, I had the curry mutton with white rice and coleslaw . And I ate it casually like it was made at home by my own mother which I love so the store nan really fits Very family friendly and I will be going back very soon

Little gidden jem. I visted for the first time and ordered a carribean breakfast and believe me I felt set up for the day. Staff were friendly and food is delicious I had Ackee saltfish fried Dumpling beans scrambled egg and plantain. Looking forward to going back already told all my friends and family. The worst carribean shop I've ever eaten from. Never again will I order from here. £15 quid for food that was barely edible. Disappointed is an understatement.

Would not recommend. I had the hot and spicy fried chicken wings which was flavourless and greasy with some hot sauce thrown on top and the mutton meal which was was dry and disappointing.

Ridiculously flavourful food. I had the fried chicken, mac & cheese combo, but I fancied some gravy with it. Soo was given some mutton gravy to pour over the top & omg 🤤. I also had a slice of the lotus cheesecake. Seriously. Get. Some!!

Went to Marjayz today for the first time, I was totally spoilt for choice, everything on their menu they had available, which was nice. I opted for ackee and salt fish and dumplings and wow it was amazing, the crisp on the outer edge of the dumpling and the soft fluffy inside 😍 definitely going back. Customer service was amazing too, very friendly staff.

A real pleasant service and great food with good portions. A great mixture of Caribbean and British food. I’ve been there for breakfast and also been there for dinner and enjoyed both. Will definitely be making it a regular

Finally got round to visiting Marjayz yesterday and wow they did not disappoint in the slightest 11/10 for me, My choice of food was Marjayz set meal which included Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Coleslaw with rice & peas. My little one also had food from the kids menu and she’s normally fussy but i can honestly say she finished the whole lot, Everything about my order was full of flavour even presentation was on point, I couldn’t resist trying Festivals on the side and by far there the best round here i would also like to add Marjayz is very welcoming the restaurant also looks amazing inside and 10/10 for hygiene. Polite staff and lovely customer service can’t fault at all will 100% be returning and one of your new regulars🤩😍

First time here and we ordered breakfast. I had a veggie one and my friend had the brekkybox 2. It was so tasty, didn’t know baked beans could taste so good too! The people running it are so friendly too, highly recommended 😁👍

Consistency is key and they really deliver! Breakfast boxes always hit the spot, the mega boxes set some serious levels too- make sure you try the salmon too! One word delicious! Food & Premises are always clean, on point and consistent!

What a fantastic place...chic, quaint and even has it's own little courtyard at the back. The service was impeccable and as for the food...wow...the mutton was to die for...perfectly spiced and melt in your mouth. Lovely atmosphere...please do give it go as you won't be disappointed.
