Mario's Loanhead Takeaway in Midlothian

Chips were nice but didn't enjoy the white pudding x2 of us. Went again a few weeks ago, the food was nice,but the juice was out of date.

Excellent food as always. This is the only takeaway my fussy teenager will get a pizza from. Chicken kebabs are my favourite. Chips are always nice & fresh. Despite having a number of takeaways where I live I always drive here.

Best Steak pie supper I've had for ages!! Beef spring roll supper was great. Everything was cooked to perfection. No soggy chips like I usually get from my usual chippy. Fast delivery and a pleasant delivery driver. 5 stars all found from me. will be ordering again.

I ordered 4 suppers two of which were roasting hot but the other two must have been made up earlier as they were a bit cold by the time it was delivered however nothing that the microwave couldn’t fix. Delivery was very quick

The earliness of the order would have been good if the food was cooked but infortunately the chips were white and uncooked and all of the food was cold it was as if nothing had been cooked fully to push delivery sooner. Such a shame

First time using this place and it was a pleasant experience. Fish and chips were done perfectly and a good portion size. Also had jumbo haggis, a little bit tough on the batter but still very tasty.

First time ordering from here and I was not happy at all. My juice was forgotten, the chips and cheese was very soggy and the cheese tasted very funny, only had a few chips. Cheeseburger was okay but very little cheese on burger.

Great doner pizza, chips, jalapeno bites, and calzones.

it was great, it came with a cute little gift bag with a juice and sucker cutest thing I've ever seen, really made my day!

Food was lovely, the staff were welcoming, the one and only thing that let it down was the gravy was so thin and flavourless. I emphasise that the rest of the food was 10/10 but do avoid that gravy

Placed order about 9.40pm delivery was within half an hour would rather have waited an extra 10/20 mins so food was properly cooked! Chips were under cooked, 10 inch pizza didn’t look nice at all the base was uneven thick at one side thin at the other also under cooked! It had a horrible smell from the cheap brown box it had came in (not a pizza box) we have had this order a few times and always been good very disappointing feel like because it was the end of the night it was rushed and just about getting a quick £30!!

One item was missing. After phoning the restaurant it was delivered, albeit a lot later than the rest of the order.

I got a chicken kebab and some of my chicken was pink and one but tasted not nice so I did eat it at all .

Received a 16 inch pizza, when I opened the box the cheese and the topping had slid off the pizza and were lying in the box separate to the base, waited a further hour to receive another pizza because they were busy…

Food is absolutely shocking! Everything was freezing cold when they arrived. Margarita pizza had a strange taste to the sauce and what you get for paying £4.50 for a single smoked sausage is ridiculous! I’d have been better off putting stuff in the air fryer or oven!! Not worth the money we paid. Won’t be ordering from here again.

We’re my refund from kfc order still not got it I’ve cctv cams to prove I never got it I still order from you but feel I’ve been bumped I’m a good customer ready to go to my bank then won’t use you again

The food quality went down, the price gone up. Last time I ordered calzone it came with sauces, salad and in a tidy bag. Today it came soggy, no salad or sauces and as the box that the bag was torn at the bottom due to amount of fat streaming from inside it was just looking line nobody cared. I think I'll stick to my previous restaurants. Many thanks.

Amazing! I tried some calzones in Edinburgh and the one from here was the best ever. The dough was crusty, yet very soft inside. THe meat well prepared and from the grill. The tomato sauce just very tasty as well. A salad was very fresh and crispy. Delivery promt and food was hot. Even the packaging looked amazing which is something I'd not expect. Definitively my number one from now on. Much appreciated.

Ordered from here often however ordered a 16in pepperoni pizza and once arrived noticed the order was wrong. Phoned and waited over 45mins for the next order to arrive with also having to hand back the other pizza. Very disappointed this time unfortunately.

For me and my mum Mario's is the best chippy in Midlothain, we love the baked potatoes and the portion sizes are always great!

Worst pizza ever. Chicken pakora was like rubber, more batter than chicken! Sausage was tough and chewy and staff are rude. Especially the older woman. Will go back to Dino's next time!

My partner was in last night ordering a pizza, as an additional topping was donner meat... to be charged an extra £5, asked staff if this was correct, to get a nippy response ( not the first time by this particular member of staff) all in all £15 later for a rotten under cooked pizza and pile of donner meat smothered in chilli sauce, not to mention... the attitude of that member of staff chucked in for good measure.... bin it went
