Fish was extremely dry and the chips were as if they WERE glued to the paper.

I ordered a fish supper and a single steak pie - it came to 17.30! Just for one meal and one pie! So yeah it's expensive but I felt reassured by the award winning sign they have. When I got it home I realised they had only included half the amount of chips you would expect (the chips were in a single layer and didn't even cover the base). I decided they were busy and had just made a mistake so I phoned to see if they would give me a proper portion. Without even asking to see my portion they said it was a standard size and I could leave a message on FB 😅 So over priced. Half portion. Terrible customer service. They got one star because the fish was a fair size and I'm fair.. But eating here is a definite risk and bad for your pocket

The food itself it’s too bad apart from it being very expensive but I just want to say how awful the place actually is, I’ve been told of a couple people that used to work there, that the owner smokes inside the chippy when it’s closed, I went one day into the chippy with my partner and they got the order but when it came to asking about salt and vinegar they were completely looked over and the girl at the counter went to me which I didn’t want to talk to anyone that day and wasn’t in a good mood hence why my partner got the food but the fact that they ordered the food and then got completely ignored isn’t right, there’s another girl at the counter that always has a resting b word face and is just horrible to talk to, at least have some customer service jesus, another thing is that yes I get it’s busy but if you’ve already phoned ahead and you said it’s gonna be 10-15 minutes before collection don’t have us standing around for an extra 20 minutes

Pizza was good. Service was poor girl not listening to order. None of the girls told me when order was ready?

Got to be the best Fish and chips in Glasgow. Have never once been disappointed with the superb quality of fish. I do like a special (bread Crumbs) and it is hard to fit on a plate . Excellent food and service. They take a pride in what they serve. Been so many times now and would highly recommend.

Marios their services n policy are ridiculous They charge you for two items n give you one only then they say it’s a mistake what a joke

Got to be one of the worst fish suppers we have ever had. Fish dry and overcooked . Also tasteless. Chips also dry and mostly stuck to the box delivered in! Paid 25.40 plus two quid tip for nothing!! Very very disappointing.

The delivery was longer than stated on the app so therefore had to pick up instead which was an inconvenience and also had to pay for the delivery fee. Upon food arrival, the food was cold and the taste wasnt there. I was very disappointed with my food order.

Love the food from Marios, especially the pizzas. You can't deny the quality of the food, it's our favorite local chippy, but the prices are out of control. £6.30 for a large chips is absolutely nuts, I appreciate inflation is driving up costs, but this seems ridiculous.

I've never had a bad meal from Mario's but the fish wasn't that great tonight soggy batter and very boney didn't taste that great at all to be honest. shame as it's usually 10/10

Fresh fish and chips! Fish battered perfectly and very generous portions! Chips just right! Cant fault this place and have found our new chippy spot in the southside!

If this isn't the best chippie on the South side..... Phoned in with a huge order for 15 of us. Arrived to collect and only had 5 - 10 mins to wait for everything...... at pesk time on a Friday. The quality of the haddock was superb, as were the chips. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you Mario's.

food was luke warm phoned to chase up order as it showed driver left over 30 mins ago to be told it was a mistake and driver just left. Well why was the food luke warm poor service and attitude.

The food is always great , I’ve been coming for years .Today , I ordered on phone , was told 10 mins so got there. Paid and waited , I was told 10 mins , another 15 mins had gone and still no fish supper , lady came after me , her online order was declined but they got her food ready before mine .. in the end patience ran out , just asked for money back and left. As a regular felt device was poor , staff were nice etc .Called catch and got food from there .

Wrong food delivered, which my coeliac wife couldn’t eat. Tried calling the restaurant but no answer.

It is a fish and chip shop, hence the atmosphere rating, which is irrelevant. In our opinion, the best fish and chips anywhere, which is why we return regularly. Not cheap but worth every penny.

We order a lot from here But last night all we had was chip scraps , considering how much they charge for chips they need to sort this out otherwise the food will go straight back!

Fairly quick service (depending on when you go) and usually fresh fish and chips. Unsure about other food (sausage, pizza etc).

Consistently good. Fish is flaky and delicious. Batter is light and not greasy. Portion size is generous.

The food is good but its now extremely expensive. Its bog standard Fish n Chips. When you schdule an order to collect at a specific time via their own website, expect to be waiting another 20+mins when you arrive as they dont seem to make anything until you turn up.

Delivery of £4 is really high for a local delivery compared to other outlets

Loved the food it was semi warm not hot hot 😒 Delivery driver was lovely and apologised for taking so long, it’s not his fault just busy but would like to have been told how long on the just eat app when he would be here, felt like we waited nearly over an hour since ordering at 6pm 🕕.

Understand it’s a Saturday night but the delivery time was ages and ages. The food was awesome, I absolutely loved the pizza, chips and chicken nuggets (much better than mcds or Burger King)

My favourite is the Special Fish supper, best in the area.....

The prices here are extortionate, even dearer than a take away from Catch! £12 for a fish supper is unjustifiable, especially when the chips are soggy and half cooked and the pitifully small fish is dry and cripsy, crispier than the batter. 13 quid for a pizza is an absolute joke when there's a cheaper (and better) pizza shop next door. The starting price for a margherita is £9, which is more than most upmarket restaurants. £1.20 per additional topping on a margherita (no choice of 2 additional toppings for a pound extra as they do next door) and a whopping extra £2 for pineapple. £4 delivery (again very high). This is daylight robbery.

I was told they fry their chips in vegetable oil separate from any other meat and I was in the other day and they took a big sausage out the same fryer. I’m vegetarian and they obviously lied so I felt sick and walked out. Disgusting. Don’t lie to your customers

Over priced chip shop probably the best out of a bad bunch in the area but £7.90 for a standard supper and £13.50 for a special fish supper , you would be better eat out for that money and there is alot better chip shop out there with no where as near as dear as this place and I think this is the dearest chip shop in Glasgow and surrounding areas for a Average chip shop. And £4 delivery from the shop and £4.50 from just eat.

Lovely special fish....crispy and not greasy. Chips also delicious and the tartar sauce was yummy! First visit for us but will not be out last!

This has been my new go to recently even though I have chip shops on my doorstep. Tonight the food was so long in coming which just be due to being busy but everything was cold. Partner loved the pie right enough. Hope it’s just an off night 🙏

Amazing fish chips Always fresh always delicious

Local chip shop, order is cooked when ordered, nothing pre-cooked. Friendly, helpful n knowledgeable staff, when ordering will tell you roughly how long till order will be ready. Price on par if not below average.

Absolutely no complaints here. Quality food delivered early and piping hot. Delivery driver very pleasant. Keep up the good work guys.

Excellent food and quick service

First time ordering after walking past outside the smell was incredible, sadly I was disappointed that I paid £11 for a fish supper and got kne piece of fish, this is simply unbelievable and although the lemon and tartar sauce are a nice touch it doesn't make up for the lack of fish, really disappointed you would at least expect 2 pieces of fish for an £11 fish supper.

Even though early the food was hot and very tasty, the driver who delivered was very pleasant. So thank you Mario's would recommend you give it a try.

Great quality food always. Accidently ordered during peak times so food could have been a little bit hotter but it was not too bad. A lot less chips in fish supper than sausage supper - so I wont make the mistake of ordering at that time again. Really clean tasting - definitely well maintained fryers.

Have to buy another takeaway as the mini fish was overcooked and very very dry. Its enedible. Had some of my bfs supper and batter tasted weird with really spicy curry sauce. Gave this place another try. Very disappointed.

Like Mario's. The prices have gone up quite a bit. Par for the course these days! But good fish and chips. Personally I'd prefer less chips in a 'mini' supper and a normal sized fish for £7.50

Prices just keep on going up. £9.50 now for a fish n chips supper. And a year ago they used to give two pieces of fish in the supper, now reduced to a small butterfly piece of fish. Chips portions okay not good but not bad. Increased the price of a portion of chips to £3 and its not the best chips you get. Just little further up Catch Giffnock do a fish supper for £9 where they now give two pieces of fish (like Mario's used to be). Chips are double fried and better quality. You decide!

Piping hot Fish and chips exactly the way it should be. I was already lying down with a content belly before Just eats estimated time of delivery was even close. Packaging for a fast food is pretty awesome from here. branded cardboard boxes, no brown paper bags here. My only tiny gripe is that you cannot order salt and vinegar on suppers. Like a drowning of the stuff.
