We had the haddock & chips which was like a reheat & oily, the pan fried fillet was very dry & over cooked. Bit disappointing the aplle crumble & ice cream dessert was excellent .

Early evening booking, staff were very nice and attentive. Food was very good. First visit we will be back🙂

Wasn't in for food but was stranded today with a puncture and was in desperate need of a toilet, staff were very friendly and allowed me to use toilet even though I didn't purchase anything. Well done guys.

Never had the opportunity I would have given zero stars if it was available as I have a itison voucher unfortunately couldn’t get a time slot over the last 2 weeks phoned asking for a short extension past the Christmas busy period guy who I spoke very unhelpful no doubt cos business has picked up post Covid and Christmas period si I’ll definitely never use this restaurant due to their customer non service

The food and the service was ok, but nothing to shout about, it was lovely and warm and the staff were very friendly. The coating on my black pudding scotch egg was hard and difficult to cut through, the steak was lovely but disappointed in the sweet ......the toffee pudding turned out to taste and feel like a gingerbread 🤔

What a brilliant steak! Quite unexpectedly good as I had passed regularly, noticed this restaurant and ignored it. My loss. The mushroom/tomato/steak combo really worked well. Ella, my server (am I allowed to say waitress?) was superb. I’d say both the restaurant and its staff are going places.

Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter Andrew was so helpful, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and was efficient and friendly. Excellent value will be back!

Food was beautiful, so rich with flavour. When our son didn’t see anything to his taste on the rather sophisticated dessert menu, the chef surprised us with two bespoke chocolate puddings, both of which were delicious. Above & beyond!

Really nice meal, good staff, nice atmosphere. Can't give full marks for the food cos they cheesecake I wanted wasn't thawed. However we'll be going again, to give it another try

Went tonight thinking we were getting two courses for £15 not vey clear that the mussels which I got as a starter weren’t included and were another £10 so I actually paid £25 for 2 courses if I had known I would have ordered the pate 😞

Had a brilliant meal in here 16th September 2023. Delicious Scallops, Pate, Flat Iron Steak and Chicken Supreme all brought to our table by the delightful Keira! Great service and a great meal, will definitely be back.

Fantastic place, lovely food. Staff very attentive too. Had the fish, Brie and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Partner had the Brie, Roast Beef and affogato. Was really delicious and excellent value at 20 pound for 3 courses, which is what made us go first of all. Will be back!

Lovely relaxed restaurant with delicious food. We reserved online and mentioned I was gluten free, our waitress Beth noticed that and explained the menu's GF options very well. Beth was the right kind of attentive, bringing our three courses promptly and checking in with us a few minutes later. She was knowledgeable and friendly and we were impressed. Thank you Cutler for a lovely relaxed delicious meal at friendly prices.

Staff were ok, very chatty. Asked for water on entry and got some hot tap water topped up in a glass bottle (disgusting) Got muscles for a starter they were ok but a bit shy on the white wine sauce . For mains we got chicken which was decent, my partner enjoyed it. Credit where credit is due I got fish of the day which was a catch of the day, white fish, rice, veg and katsu curry sauce with a coconut flavouring. The rice was hard and couldn’t eat it, the fish was over powered with salt and the katsu sauce was straight out of a powder mill. The vegetables were good though!! Left totally disappointed as this was my dinner for the evening but had to eat again later in the evening

Fantastic and reasonably priced Father’s Day lunch

I already sent a review to say my friend and I had a fantastic meal at the restaurant yesterday evening. The scallops, fish pie and desserts were absolutely delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hats off to the chef. Will definitely be back.

What a poor and disappointing experience. Booked Cutler for 7:15 this evening, we arrived promptly and were seated at the window. According to the website, the set menu is available all day Sun-Thu; however, the menu we were given stipulated availability until 7:30pm. We were initially pleased to have caught the timings, how wrong we were! After sitting for 20 minutes and deciding what to order, no member of staff had approached our table, taken a drinks order or even acknowledged us. Other parties had been approached several times and the male staff member in attendance had also cleared various tables. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. As we headed out of the door, a female staff member pursued us and proceeded to attempt some sort of salvage mission on the doorstep! Absolutely embarrassing and so unprofessional. This would have been our third recent visit to Cutler but is likely to be our last. Previous visits were reasonable but the (lack of) customer service and complete unawareness displayed by both staff members this evening was wholly unacceptable. It is also worth noting that the set menu detailed online does not reflect the one provided in house, some items differed. There is also no separate set menu provided, items included are highlighted on the a la carte menu, which is a very odd and potentially misleading way of presenting a set menu to the customer. Given the level of competition in the Southside, customer service is of paramount importance and is a potential "deal breaker" in terms of repeat business. It appears that the importance of customer service standards has bypassed the staff members present in Cutler this evening. As a result, we went elsewhere in Giffnock without a booking and, despite the venue being extremely busy, we were warmly welcomed and presented with excellent food and drinks in very comfortable surroundings. Quite a discernible difference from our experience in Cutler.

Lucky enough to go for the lunch and it was really quiet..service was fantastic and our waiter was superb and very friendly. Super value and great food. Pay this place a visit

This is a great place if you're looking for an affordable but high quality steak and seafood meal. They've got a great 2 course menu for only £15. I got a big pot of mussels and steak frites under this deal, it was great! Also service is good and love the vibe of the restaurant.

Had a bit of a wait for meal but it was well worth it. Chicken supreme and Blade of beef excellent. Dessert was delicious. Was given a glass of wine to compensate for waiting which was much appreciated. Will definitely be back. Loved the background music. 😍

Great food at a good price. Staff very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Starters were delicious; Smoked mackerel rillette and haggis bon bons. Maybe a crusty roll/ oatcake with the rillette? There was a bit of a wait for our second course but worth it; Slow cooked Featherblade of beef and a flat iron steak. Both cooked to perfection. We had a slight issue with our bill at the end, but it was quickly sorted. Overall a lovely night. Recommended

We had a wonderful meal here on May 28th. Good menu - plenty to choose from. The quality of the food was excellent (steak, prawns, burger) The staff we simply fab; efficient, helpful and made us truly welcome. Thanks for making a special birthday night out perfect!

Could only describe the food as average visited last Sunday evening with my wife the lobster was extremely small relative to the cost and the ribeye was well below average.

Dreadful, our service was amazing but totally let down by the food. For a restaurant that claims to specialise in fish dishes we expected so much more. Salmon was dry and cold, all other dishes dry and cold.

This was our third visit in the last 6 weeks and will be our last. Service this evening was worse than poor very disappointed. Food was in part inedible, and after waiting a age for the dessert menu gave up on it. For what we paid we feel that the food and service was unacceptable won't be back. I also did not realise I had pre paid for that meal taken out on 10th 4 days before valentines night I mistakenly thought my card details were taken just at booking stage to reseve the table and again adds to my disappointment Date of visit: February 2022

We had the market menu and that's our 4th time. Always great food drink and service 👌 Adam was spot on he even put Elvis on for mum. Lovely young gentleman and the Portuguese waiter was also very attentive. Will definitely be back. Thanks

Over cooked and over priced. Two of us went for lunch, staff were friendly and the place is beautiful. We ordered a Chateaubriand which arrived a full hour later despite being the only customers when it was ordered. When it eventually arrived it had already been sliced and was very over done. I accepted it as I’d already waited an hour for it to arrive. It was very small but £75. I did complain and they apologised. I ordered a half grilled lobster with it which was done in three small bites and was £30, tasty but crazy money. The sticky toffee pudding was very good, but overall £130 for a two course lunch that took well over two hours, was poor. Definitely won’t be back it’s not difficult to get steak right and charge what other steak houses do.

This was our first visit to Cutler, absolutely loved the food couldn't fault it and full of flavour. Great service and very relaxing surroundings. We'll certainly be back again soon.

We had wonderful food to suit all our tastes and the service was perfect too. All things were considered. Roisin was lovely, very polite and helpful. We sat in the conservatory which was a delightful place to sit in the evening with christmas lights and nostalgic music!

We booked for Saturday 13th but had to cancel due to family bereavement. Cancelled by phone a week before and by email a few days before but they still took the £40 deposit. Not happy.

Went to Cutler's for a birthday yesterday. She was delighted with her scallops and lobster and my oysters and grilled sea bass were delicious. Lovely wine and good service. We had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant and it didn't disappoint.

Menu has improved since last visit, making it a true seafood and steak restaurant. Well done.

Very expensive steaks for location and quality was surprisingly very poor. £32 for a rib-eye steak that was under the weight advertised and had a massive circle of fat in the middle and lacked flavour. Garlic butter that was solid butter with no distinguishable garlic taste. Others in my party were all equally underwhelmed by their meals unfortunately. No drinks menu listing all the beers, soft drinks etc….you had to ask and decide on the spot. A shame as nice location but much better restaurants around Glasgow offering better quality and value.

I don't often give a 5 star review but here 100% deserves it. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, the restaurant clean and tidy, the atmosphere, although quiet was relaxing and the price was excellent for the quality of the food. Also as a extra flair to show how special the restaurant and the staff are they decorated a plate with a birthday message for my son. Very much a surprise and a lovely gesture. I recommend this restaurant to anyone, from couple, to family, from young to old the menu caters for all.

Very nice restaurant! I went for a family meal which included my 2 children. The children's menu was excellent, great variety, both had macaroni cheese and fish fingers. The main menu also had a great variety, I had the lobster roll. Decor was lovely and we sat in the conservatory section which was nice and bright. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Brilliant service ! Staff are lovely and welcoming. The food is amazing ! Took my in-laws with my wife and everything was perfectly cooked. I understand a new restaurant will have teething problems but we waited a couple of weeks and they have it down now ! This will become the must go place in Southside. Many thanks to Callum and Roisin for a great service.

Great first visit and will be back again. T-Bone cooked medium rare and scallops cooked to perfection. Mussels to start Steve's in a bloody Mary sauce which was delicious! Tables booked for 1pm on Sunday, had the place to ourselves and started filling up from 2pm onwards so good if you're wanting a quiet lunch early on.

Thoroughly enjoyed my langoustines to start, and their mussles mariniere were delicious. Nice consistency to the mariniere. Decor was perfect, nice atmosphere, will go back.

Very nice local restaurant! The food was well cook and seasoned. Was happy with the steak, cook to the right cuisson. The waiters we attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend going.

Disappointing. Restaurant squeezed us into a 45 minute booking which was great but neither the food or the service were worth it. Mussels, salmon, onion rings, sauces were good but the mac n cheese was terrible and I suspect made from a packet. The worst thing was the fillet steak which was ordered medium rare, took 35 minutes to come after the starter plates were cleared, and came out medium well, dry and completely overcooked. When the waitress asked how everything was and we told her about it she turned and walked away without saying a word. 10 minutes later I called the manager over to bring it to his attention, to which he said he'd been told about it and would "do something for us". Before settling the bill the manager came back and gave us an excuse about the cooking process and how the kitchen were rushing. Nonsense. He took 20% off the steak and told us he'd take care of us next time we were in. I've got no patience for a steak house that are unable to A) cook a steak to the requested temperature or B) take responsibility for it. So disappointing, won't be back.

The staff were charming and accommodating after we turned up without a booking due to a mistake we made. Despite us only being able to have a table for a short period between bookings we had a delicious meal. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was a stand out. Great wine list and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

Not great. With claiming to be a seafood venue you expect the simple things to be done properly, The Oysters had not been removed from the Shell so the first one did not slide down the throat as expected. The Shallots should be thin slivers but these were full on chunks. The Seafood Linguine was actually Seafood Spaghetti. How can a restaurant not know about pasta types. It was also far too spicy and the seafood amounted to mussels and prawns. That was my wives dinner. I wont bother describing mine. For this we also paid top top restaurant prices. Hold off on a visit. They need to get things sorted.

Lovely fresh food and even lovelier staff! They were really good with my young kids. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory area on a beautiful sunny evening and we will definitely be back soon!

Visited here yesterday for lunch and found it to be very nice. Staff friendly and attentive. I had fish and chips which were good but the highlight actually was a very good mushy pea with mint combination which tasted very refreshing....

Newly refurbished bright Airy restaurant with Menu based on great steaks and Lobster dishes. Reasonable prices.

Just had Father's Day lunch at Cutler's great service and delicious food . Fabulous 👍🎉
