I ordered from here last night and the burgers were burnt and rock hard. Absolutely disgusting sending food like this to customers

Ordered a Mushroom Pizza and was overcooked and rock solid. Attempted to eat it but had zero flavour and only tasted of grease. 👎

Got a small doner kebab meat was in small pieces not the long strips looks they’ve been in the dish from last night 30th June 24 got this on the 1st of July 24 not very pleased with it

Short black hair in 2 of the meals and when I called to tell them the boss said it may not be from them, these things can happen. Poor food hygiene!

I went tonight to get two bags of chips, when I arrived I was served by two young girls, one took payment and the other dished up the chips, once the chips were dished up they were slid over to the cashier who salted them then poked the chips into the box with the filthy bacteria covered rubber gloves she's been handling the money with. I decided to point out that whilst wearing gloves and continuing to handle money and food with the same gloves on is extremely unhygienic and frankly unacceptable in a food business. I also noticed the young lady must have had the gloves on her entire shift as they were sellotaped round the wrists, I can only imagine how much dirty money and food she has touched already. What's more astonishing is the two men I assume owner and fryer and the two young girls looked at me like I was a 2 headed alien when I explained about the cross contamination issue..... C'mon this is basic food hygiene..... I ended up throwing 2 bags of chips out thanks to your filthy habits. 😞

Food wasnt great. Not very hot and the batter on the fish was quite soggy, so much so it was hard to cut. Didnt get offered coleslaw or peas. Don't think I'll be visiting again.

I have not bought from this choppy since they done me out of chips and when I asked about it the said they had not done that but I know that I never got them I don't lie about that so they were calling me a cheat and that I lied about it they are bans

Good food but they need to sort the health and safety. Last few weeks, the fryer, pizza guy and 1 of the servers had no hats or protective nets. I'm glad they pay enough to keep their staff fashionable but it's only a matter of time before someone finds a fake nail in their order.

Ordered the kebab special and was not disappointed all meats were excellently cooked great char on the chicken and none of it was dry whatsoever.. Ended up gettin it again last night and went for the grilled chicken burger it was delicious.. great batter sausages and kids loved the chicken bites.. will deafinatly be back again when in livingston

Was at the hospital and came here for dinner as needed to head back in brilliant selection from fish and chips to pizza and kebabs Ordered 10" spicy chicken pizza £7.70 and large special fish supper £9.59 Pizza was lovely Chips were good but the fish was cut down the middle to appear as two fish and advertised as haddock???? Not sure on that one Was just dressed in breadcrumbs no pané or dipped in batter first so was hard and crunchy

It was a good place. But today our fishes were slightly on burnt side. Chips were ok. Brown oil dribbling from fish. Didn't like it.

Never had any bad food from here.

Ordered a cheese and onion, pizza and got gave a pizza? With cheese and fried onion on top do not recommend getting pizza from here and the grease 🤢

I like there chicken tikka kebabs, I mean everything else we have had fish, chips, ect, seems OK, however like most chip shops that do pasta dishes never a good thing sauces always tasteless and generic, but not bad elsewhere.

This visit was ok, this time, not as good as previous visits. Usually have fish, but had a sausage in batter with chips this time. Batter too thick, chips, too many, too dry, maybe reheats??

Over 90 mins late .freezing cold pizza and chips were cold and horrible ..ended up in the bin

Staff no bad.. bit the 10inch spicy pizza turned out to be plain pizza...nothing spicy bout it. Plus a whole inch and a bit crust full of doe So my pizza was only 8 inch.. was not nice at all you can tell there was no care making it.. itwas like rubber with grease ..never again .. plus 50 mins to deliver to me across the road? ??

Best fish n chips in Livingston, something special about the batter.. food always tastes so fresh and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Just had my fish n chips delivered! Not impressed! Took an hour to arrive. Fish overcooked and all the chips are just the little hard bits. will not be bothering to order again! Most went in bin!

Usually go to Marinis at Almondvale but for some reason it was closed. Went to shop at Ladywell for regular fish supper. When biting in to fish got mouthful of oil. Chips were awful & tasteless. Will never buy here again.

Warm friendly atmosphere when I went in, asked for my food to be cooked fresh instead of what was already there and done without a problem. Blonde girl on the counter was lovely and chatting away to all the customers. Not often you find that in a busy chip shop. After a 15 minute drive home the food was still piping hot (why I asked for freshly cooked) all the family loved it. Will definitely be back!!

Great takeaway. They cook fresh soon as you order. Maybe wait longer but worth it. Pleasant staff also.

My 7 year old daughter has a nut allergy and this is the only place she can have chips and cheese which she loves the staff are amazing, keep up the good work thanks

I just live opposite of Marini's. It's close, convenient, always fast service and lovely staff. And the main thing is taste of food from this takeaway, one of the best in Livingston. Heart of Ladywell!!!!

Everything tasted like a chippy. I no it is a chippy but the pizza tasted like a chippy and a Donner kebab was the same. Chippy.

Great fresh food offering a range of traditional chip shop meals, reasonably priced. What stands out here for me is the ice cream they are awesome with so many flavours and you can mix and match in a carton to get all your favourites they are on ordering apps for delivery also order a head for collection no safety screens in place however masks are needed.

Waited 45 minutes for delivery, when it came had to be reheated, very disappointed, wont be ordering again

waited 2 hours for delivery called the shop to be told my order was just leaving the shop, food turned up cold!! and chips wer not fresh very poor service waste of 38quid

If I could give this chippy a zero rating I would.. they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced and what is more infuriating is that it wasn’t even my fault!! They made the mistake with my one simple order of a smoked sausage supper and then refused to be reasonable when I called to explain what had happened to which I was then told that I would have to pay a delivery charge even though I had been charged even more for the wrong thing?!?! Absolutely furious and I would not recommend this place to anyone.. stay clear!

This is no way to bring this company down, I’m sure the management and everything is great but I think especially in these times were living in the staff in this establishment should be a bit more aware about food hygiene. I Really like the fish and chips from here but the last two times Iv been here both during the pandemic Iv witnessed the person serving me licking her fingers and going straight back to touching my food and today another girl using the same gloves to handle the payment machine, the till, the fridge, the counter and then my fish. It really turns my stomach to think what could be on those gloves. We are non the wiser when we order a takeaway but seeing it with your own eyes makes me never want to go back although I still very much love their Equis ice cream

After ordering £18 worth of food, they phoned AFTER the payment has went through saying they didn’t have ANYTHING of what I wanted! Asked for a refund (not much use being a keyworker in this pandemic if people steal from you!) and was told I’d have to contact Pay Eat...who are Pay Eat?? I have NO idea! No help, just dismissed over the phone. Marinis took money from me and didn’t deliver anything. Money for nothing. I don’t think so. I’ll be going to citizens advice ASAP and getting this money back, just a shame you couldn’t just do the right thing and refund a loyal customer of many years. Won’t be using this place again. Stealing is wrong and that’s what Marinis has done.

Been getting deliverys from here since they opened up and always vey happy with the food but over my last 3 orders i have noticed that the portions are getting smaller amd smaller each time asked for a tub of gravy got half a tub of gravy . Might be looking gor new chippy to order from in the future. Were as advertised on the menu is what i will recieve not half portions and paying the price of full ones

Marinis in Ladywell has for a long time been my favourite chippy. I ordered a pizza and chips last night and a half pizza supper. Asking for salt and sauce on the chips and cheddar cheese on the pizza (which I highly recommend) They always read the notes and give you exactly what you ask for. The food arrived after only 25 minutes and was piping hot and delicious so I will continue to get from the best chippie in Livi

Since a new managers took over the food always been amazing and the service is fab!

Good food, take an age to serve you. Just stood 20 mins for 2 sausage suppers While staff made up delivery orders.

Use to find their fish very greasy but now the last three times i have had their fish it's been fantastic and tasty

Spend twenty odd quid on two kebabs, a 500ml tub of ice cream and a 2 litre bottle of juice. Kebabs arrived lukewarm, ice cream way too soft and didn’t get the juice. Waste of a meal and so disappointing. Will stick to collecting from the one near centre.

Food overpriced and average, staff really grumpy, especially the woman with the black hair. Customer service non existent. The other marini chippy in the town centre is so much better, staff much nicer.

Ordered 2x Spicy Chicken pizzas and 2x 500ml ice cream tubs. I don't know what happened tonight but we have ordered numerous times and it has been great, but this time they have lacked in food quality. Pizza were thrown together, toppings on the box than the pizza, very doughy aswell which is not what a pizza should be. Ice cream 500ml tubs were normally filled properly, but this time you get 500ml tubs with not much ice cream in it. Paid £26 for a nice meal but to be honest was not worth it tonight. Don't think I will be ordering again for a while.

Love the chips here, staff serve quickly, good choice of traditional chippy fare as well as pizza, pasta, kebabs and ice cream.

Discussing attitude when they got order wrong decided to blame us then when we asked for there name got told I'm not giving you my name repeatedly and told us her manager was not in (they were not as polite as I just put it with the language too) need to learn some customer service skills

Waited for my food for 3 hours before cancelling my order. The delivery driver then turned up and tried to guilt me into taking the cancelled order! Incompetent deliver driver but I'm leaving 3 starts as the staff in the chippy were lovely and could not have been more helpful.

Yeah it's a good place to eat, food is always hot and prices are fair.

an hour after placing my order they phoned me to say some of it was ready apart from the pizza but we have some different ones available would these do obviously someone completely forgot about it and they try fob you off

Really decent chippie. Always tasty fish. the staff are a bit of a hit and miss and could do with some customer training. Sometimes can be a bit of a wait depending on the time of day. Prices are average for a chippie

It's OK to handle food with the blue gloves on but not after handling money then food without Washing in between or changing gloves also very greasy or rubbery no consistency but on occasion the black pudding is awesome chicken nuggets are breast off chicken some good aspects but bad cooking and service.

Son went round for 2 1/2 pizza suppers and small chips was charged £8 which I thought was expensive. Phoned shop ask for the price as a new customer was told £6.60 sent son back for the rest of his change and was given a receipt for £8.00 the price of the 1/2 pizza suppers had jumped to £3.10. what a rip off trying to cheat kids out of money will never be back and will tell everyone I know not to go back

Service can be uncomfortable, and you have to keep an eye on your order to make sure it's correct, but the food is usually tasty.

I got served by a young girl whos service was good, looked at another woman (older woman with black hair) and I felt like I was being an inconvenience , then whilst I was waiting on my order she kept on staring at me, which made me feel uneasy. I think she should go on a customer service course. When I got home I went to get my ice cream and I found a hair. I would not recommend this chip shop. Worst I have ever had ,I wouldn't even give it the 1 star.

Just finished a 12 inch pizza from here only problem were chips were not very warm

I ordered a delivery tonight 17.12,15 and am not happy with the meal or service I received the meal was stone cold and rubbery the chips were that rubbery I could've played bounce the ball with them fish was freezing my friends meal was warmish! I phoned to complain to be spoken to by members of staff like a piece of crap! I am a disabled man that cant make myself someone to eat and was looking forward to my meal! I wont ever be bk not happy in the slightest! mr jones!! if anyone else asks my opinion on ur chip shop I will gladly tell them to run the other way! p.s also have a guide dog and I wouldn't even feed her the crap they call food!
