Marine Bar & Kitchen in Sefton

Absolutely disgraceful I went in with some mates we waited 2 hours for food which turned up stone cold. Getting a pint was near impossible as all the staff kept disappearing into the cellar for small periods of time and when the staff were on the bar they were extremely rude and disrespectful especially the lady with all the tattoos and the blonde Irish one. There was a girl in her school uniform drinking vk's at the bar. This was the worst resteraunt experience I've ever had it's a real shame that this place has to ruin the south road experience. I will definitely not be going back again

We call here when we take our dogs to the beach for a coffee and the staff are fabulous, We were served by tom today and he was so nice and helpful, would definitely recommend, all the staff also make a fuss of our fogs

Popped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of choice on the menu...we chose steak and mushroom sandwich with skin on fries, onion rings and cheeseburger with fries. Food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. The onion rings were fab! The chef (called Tiger!) brought our food out and was polite and friendly. Family friendly and dog friendly pub. Will be back. They show the footy too!

We have been here before and have always been disappointed with “just about” hot coffee and poor service Today we Decided to give it another go We only ordered coffee and toast and after the last few times of being served cool coffee I asked today if they could make it extra hot (which would be the normal temp for most places) Coffee arrived ..bit hotter than last time to be fair but far from acceptable waited for toast which never arrived had to prompt waitress and got it eventually But by the time it came the coffee was cold ….no offer of a refill or apology the staff just didn’t care If they can’t get coffee and toast right ,it’s time to throw in the towel or train your staff Shame as it’s a nice place We gave it another chance but Sorry to say we won’t go back

Drove past here at lunchtime and decided to give it a try as it had a good private outdoor seating and really close to the marina. It has on street parking only so no disabled spaces. The place looked nicely decorated and it was a pay at the bar service so I thought I ordered brushetta for starters and stilton and mushroom burger for main. I also had half a lager and the bill came to £14.45. good deal. Food came out about 10 mins later but it instead of the burger and brushetta they brought out stilton and garlic mushrooms as a starter and also the brushetta. They only charged me for the two starters so to save the hassle I just decided to eat the mushrooms and in so glad I did as they tasted amazing. The best I've ever had in fact and I've had ALOT !!!!. Next came the brushetta and again it tasted amazing. Fresh and clean and perfect on a sunny day. One minor note Dutch the paper it sat on as it got soggy. I even grabbed to chef and told him how good the food was and I could tell he was passionate about his food. Ordered a coffee afterwards for £2.50 Also if you get served at the bar by Natalie the tattooed bar person call her Wendy as a joke as I heard an old guy call her that and I jumped onto the band wagon just for fun so let's see how many people call her that. Oh and Murphy's law I dropped my wallet in the bar and luckily enough they found it and put it behind the bar so thank you to them for that. I've seen alot of 1 star reviews for here. All I can say is personally the food is amazing and the outdoor space is good and the prices aren't bad. I'll come again just to say hi to Wendy haha

This place has spiralled from good to awful.rude staff.scruffy.poor food,give it a miss.it is a shame to see a good place slip so much.

Great food and reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Under new management. Came over and gave the dog some doggy ice cream. Lovely experience.

Manageress couldn't do enough for us such a lovely Lady, she was so bubbly nothing too much trouble, fish and chips was absolutely beautiful big flakes of fish and batter was crispy, very enjoyable lunch, will be back

Stopped for a few drinks with friends - still no Dry Martini – they used to serve it but for last two visits not had any in stock. Ordered a glass of Prosecco – flat as a pancake and no bubbles - husband took it back. In the end we ordered a bottle of Prosecco to share. Everywhere very clean and large seating areas to front and rear of this pub. Service friendly and with a smile.

Came her today with two kids. They had more items missing from the menu than they had available. They had no fish, no fish fingers, no pizza, no pies and no gammon. There are a lot better restaurants on the same road I really won't bother again

Where have the usual staff gone? The new manager is awful constantly moaning, she’s shaking going on how she needs a glass of wine which doesn’t come across very professional! The atmosphere just isn’t the same anymore we won’t be coming back, the previous manager and staff were so good and professional you’re mad to have let them leave!

Tom graham keeps asking for the barman’s number which is abit wierd, but other than that, lovely little pub containing an oh so warm is the atmosphere and prices aren’t to shabby alonso x

Popped into the Marine for a few drinks before a meal booked – all very clean and has to be the best maintained and cleanest toilets ono South Road. No dry martini anymore – tried the cocktail – had a pornstar martini – okay but not fab. Great selection of wines by the glass and bottle. Tried the Rose prosecco – very good. Well worth popping into if in the area -has large outdoor terrace and a children’s section at rear.

Brilliant place to eat & a stones throw from Crosby Marina. Sunday Roast are exceptional. Staff are helpful & very friendly. Can't recommend this place enough

I was just passing and popped in! Only went for a beer but ended up staying and eating. Staff were so friendly and couldnt do enough. Cant knock the mixed grill.

After a very pleasant stroll along Crosby Coastal Park, we walked the short distance to this restaurant for lunch. Our large group sat at tables in the garden.
