Good food at a sensible price with exceptional service. Only recently discovered it and will definitely be returning regularly.

Just had a family birthday dinner ruined by the fact we had only 1½ hours allowed at the table for a party of 8. This restaurant has always been our go-to for family get-togethers, with good food and a friendly atmosphere. This time one starter was forgotten, then one main course was forgotten, so at each course one person was left twiddling their thumbs ... Then, when we wanted to order dessert, we were told they needed the table back in ten minutes?! The booking was made weeks ago and we weren't made aware of any time restriction. Apparently they told my brother on the phone yesterday, but he sensibly didn't tell us our time was so limited, as he didn't want us to feel rushed, when we so rarely get the chance to all get together. Shame on you Margheritas, you may have squeezed in one more booking on a Saturday night, but you've lost years of repeat business from us!

Have had nice meals here previously but tonight a birthday celebration of 8 people was cut short with only 1½ hours alloted for a family party of 8 celebrating birthdays and mothers day. The booking was made weeks ago and no time restrictions were mentioned. This would surely never happen in an authentic Italian restaurant. The food is nice, although not all served at the same time, as some meals were forgotten. This wasn't a big problem until we were told we had 10 minutes to order and eat dessert! Ridiculous way to treat returning customers and we had all travelled a long way to be together. What a shame.

I made a last minute booking, thankfully they could accommodate, small place and very busy. Food and service were good, loads of vegan options! I just wish there were more places like this around generally. Definitely book ahead to guarantee you get a table.

Superb little Italian restaurant. My wife had one of the pizzas which she said was one of the best she’d ever had. I had a mushroom risotto which was delicious. If you find yourself in Deal we would highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit.

Wow! Amazing food and service! Celebrated a birthday here with 12 others, all pasta dishes were awesome, but the pizza was the best I’ve ever tasted! Plus the cheesy garlic bread! 10/10.

What an amazing night at Margheritas! My dad treated me to dinner and so glad we picked here. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was exceptional! Can’t wait to go back!

The place was small but welcoming. The only thing that was quite good were the desserts (a classic tiramisu and one with limoncello). He got two pastas (one seafood and one clam) and to say they weren't good wouldn't be right, as they literally had no flavour. There was soup under the pasta! If you ever come to this restaurant, stay away from the starters. The starter bruschetta was not worth the almost £8.

Il posto era piccolino ma accogliente. L’unica cosa abbastanza buona erano i dolci (un tiramisù classico e uno al limoncello). Prese due paste (una frutti di mare e una vongole) e dire che non erano buone non sarebbe giusto, in quanto non avevano letteralmente nessun sapore. Sotto la pasta ci stava una zuppa! Se mai capiterete in questo ristorante, state alla larga dai primi. La bruschetta di antipasto non era degna dei quasi 8£.

Great food, good service and nice experience

Amazing food - one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, with super fresh ingredients. The seafood risotto was really fresh with tons of amazing seafood (no skimping!). The staff were really lovely. So glad we chose here for Valentine’s!

My Pizza was very poor, it was very overloaded with cheese which made the base so soggy it fell apart. They offered to remake the pizza as we paid the bill, but this was a bit late. Not much Italian influence here. Response/correction to owners comment. Unfortunately no empty plates were left by my three friends, but I'll leave them to submit their own reviews if they wish too.

Wow the food was amazing, all 5 different meals, my gluten free pasta was delicious, cooked to perfection with a carbonara sauce, our starters were also lovely, we could not fault any of it , every mouthful was delightful. We will be back. Picture 1 is my Gluten Free pasta, yummy 🤤

Went for my partners birthday and what absolutely lovely people couldn’t off done enough for us. food is nice and fresh and the muscles are unbelievably good would highly recommend this family run business

I can't say enough great things about this restaurant! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a family-like atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. Really enjoyed our visit. Lovely restaurant with friendly, attentive staff and clearly attracts lots of regulars. Prices were fair and the food was lovely. Portions were gigantic! Pizzas were amazing, as was the calzone, which was the size of a small child. Would definitely go again.

We were a table 7 and a toddler. We were served promptly by our lovely waiter vlad who was very helpful and a great knowledge on the menu. We had starters and mains and there was empty plates all round. All our food came together. We took puddings home which were also so good. Lovely family restaurant. We will definitely be returning. Well done margaritas what a great team you have 👏👏👏

Delicious food with excellent service.

Although we were 15 minutes late for this very in-demand restaurant (our fault entirely!!), we were warmly welcomed by Vlad and Amy. We had lovely garlic foccacia as a starter. Husband had a calzone with bolognese stuffing - massive and very tasty! I had the pea and shallot ravioli - gorgeous with an unctuous tomato sauce! Our friend had gluten free pasta with salmon and the tagliatelle Alfredo with chicken/white wine sauce! A nice bottle of the aptly name Conviviale! Cheesecakes to follow were lovely but I had a pistachio cannoli with ice cream - a tiny cannoli, delicious but very small so that’s why it’s 4 stars instead of 5. Amy looked after us so well - a lovely girl, and very efficient. We will definitely be going back but we’ll be on time next time!!

Ordered a takeaway chilli and garlic pasta and kids pepperoni pizza, super quick delivery and absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommend and would most definitely have again!!! 10/10!!

Amazing, authentic Italian food, and huge portions! As amazing as the food is, the service is what makes this place. A proper family run restaurant, with white glove service. We had two young children and a bay with us, and they couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. They even let us change the baby upstairs in their private bathroom! Will be visiting again many, many times!

So sorry guys. This review is long overdue because you welcomed us into your restaurant just as you were closing at 9pm. We were tired and hungary and had also missed our hotel dining time. Your hospitality at that time of night was amazing and so was the food. Initially you offered us a takeaway but when you heard of our predicament, you immediately showed us to a table and for this kindness you should be recognised. So we hope folk read this revue and come and taste your lovely Italian cuisine.

First time we’d visited Margaritas in Deal and a pleasant experience it was. Service was very good and it had a nice atmosphere. Plenty to choose from their menu and a chilled cabinet full of homemade desserts on display. I am coeliac so required gluten free. I had their pizza which was very large. I couldn’t actually finish it all so so they asked if I’d like it in a box to take away which was very kind. My wife had pasta which she was very happy with. Both had a dessert and it was reasonably priced. Will come again as I’d like to try their GF pasta.

We ate here just the other night - great food. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere and lovely team of waiters. They were so kind to my 4 year old son too. Will come again for sure.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would!! My Italian grandma will only allow me to say this because I left a 30% tip as a mench—their lasagna kicks her lasagna’s ass. I’m still worried about the smiting I will receive from nonna for saying that. But game recognizes game, and she would demand I leave an American sized tip. This was a wonderful surprise. I simply googled restaurants in Deal, liked their menu, and showed up. Service was wonderful, wine was great, and food knocked our socks off. Go and enjoy.

A fantastic eatery... Provides a wonderfully varied selection of Italian food... All the usual expected suspects of pizzas and pasta along with a few great additions.... Swift and attentive service.... The venue isn't the biggest so book to avoid disappointment...

Fantastic Italian food, served in an excellent seaside location, by lovely people who simply want to make sure you eat and drink well. Great to see and hear the kitchen in action and inside is very comfortable. Considering how much food you get, prices are a bargain. Well worth a visit or ordering from.

Been here a couple of times now and not had the best of experiences this time we went in and got served a burnt pizza , when we said to the waitress, the pizza was burnt, we were told it wasn’t burnt not very impressed. I think they have the run of deal because there’s not very many restaurants.

Very rare to find an Italian style family restaurant outside of Italy. But this is one, and a very good one too. We started with the sharing board and there was plenty , various meats, four very good cheeses, sun dried tomatoes, olives and various pickles. We also shared a seafood pizza. It was beautifully crisp with clams,mussels, prawns and squid on a tomato base, a bit suprised there was cheese too but it worked well. We also had a handmade pasta dish each. Mine was tortoloni with black truffles and burratta, it was wonderful. My husband carried on with a seafood spaghetti dish. It looked and tasted great. By this time we were too full for the very attractive desserts, but we will be back to try them. The place is quite small and booking is essential. But there is a lovely atmosphere and we had a table at the front so we could see the sea . The staff were faultless and worked very hard to ensure everything was perfect. We both loved Margheritas, it is well worth a visit.

Can't rate this restaurant any higher than 5 but the food was fabulous. If you go to Deal, this is a must visit restaurant if you love Italian cuisine. Everything we had was delicious and reasonably priced with wine. Can definitely recommend the spinach and ricotta cannelloni.

My partner and I made a reservation last week, and have to say probably one of the nicest meals we’ve had out in a while! Really affordable prices, a great atmosphere and such lovely fresh food. We both had bruschetta and pizza, couldn’t fault neither. The skin on fries came lovely and seasoned too… the staff couldn’t have done enough to accommodate us. No surprise that the place didn’t have a single empty table this evening. We will definitely be booking again soon!

We had the best time at this little gem of a restaurant! We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. All of us were originally from Deal, one still lives there, two were visiting. None of us knew this place existed! We called up late afternoon to see if we needed to book, they were able to offer us a table later that evening, the place was really busy when we arrived. The welcome and service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was delicious. Lots of options for everyone, too, which was great. We were only going for a light dinner but ended up having three courses and a bottle of wine! This will absolutely be a regular stop for us now!

This was my second visit to Margheritas. The first visit was for take away pizza, which was huge (left overs eaten the next day) and absolutely fabulous - my husband won’t eat pizzas as he doesn’t like cooked cheese, but he devoured whatever crust I’d let him have! Today we went back with friends and our dog. Got a lovely table that our dog could sit under the bench seat. Lovely cold water was immediately brought to the table which was much appreciated. We all ordered a different main from different sections of the menu and no one was disappointed! The food and seasonings were beautiful! I already know what new dish I’m ordering next time and my husband has already said he’s ordering the same dish (Gamberi Linguine)! The service was excellent and unobtrusive! The cooking was marvellous!!!

Came here for lunch with my family the service was excellent and the food was exquisite one of my favourite restaurants amazing Italian foods all prepared perfectly and with minimal waiting times 10/10

Lovely team of people running this gaff. Really tasty pizzas, generous toppings. Too much Pavarotti playing in the background but it’s all part of the fun i guess.

This restaurant has changed hands and whist the menu and a couple of staff have not, the quality of the food and service has taken a turn for the worse. Shame at this really used to be a hidden gem.

They have glutenfree pizza and pasta. The selection is very good, the pizza (regular and glutenfree) were all very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My boyfriend and I made a reservation and ate here recently, for the price we paid for our food it was absolutely delicious and very affordable. Inside is a little cramped so can get a little noisy, but the staff were wonderful and so helpful, so accommodated our request to take dessert with us to eat on the beach. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend!

A little cosy place in the centre of Deal. The foods are delicious and the service is exceptional. We had Linguine with shrimps, quatro formagio pizza, and kids menu! Must visit in Deal, we are def. coming back.

We had pizza and pasta there yesterday. The pizza was generous in size and had really good dough, nicely risen at the edges but not at all chewy. The seafood pasta was very rich and tasty, obviously done with wine The atmosphere was cosy and friendly Definitely recommend.

Lovely little Italian, Atmosphere was lovely but food let it down, bread and olive starter £7.50 and you get a slice of toast and a few small hard bread sticks the olives were nice though, the mussels were very small but flavours were there, again severe with a slice of bread, we have a pasta dish which was delicious could do with more than 4 prawns and the shells taken off but over all the dish was nice.

Visited here for the first time with my cousin, the pizza we ordered was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice.

Stopped here for an evening meal as a family of four. Had a great experience and would highly recommend. The pizza's were amazing, as was the Tiramasu and Cheese cake. All food was made fresh and it tasted delicious. The childrens Pizza came with a twist, and the homemade Mayo went down very well! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Fantastic!

Iv been here a few times now. It’s small but the food is consistently great. Garlic king prawns, king prawn linguini are fabulous. The calamari is cut small and perfectly soft with a crunchy coating. The pizzas are huge and look amazing and my family who are pizza fans love them. The staff are lovely and friendly and the service is great. Each time I’ve been it’s been fabulous. Definitely recommend you give them a try.

We were lucky to be squeezed in on a bank holiday Sunday. The food was wonderful. I’m not a vegan anymore but have to avoid dairy. This lovely little restaurant caters for everyone. My vegan pizza was heaven. The faux cheese, absolutely amazing 💯

Perhaps we were unlucky with our food choices. The risotto was swimming in gloop and the taste of the pasta was overwhelmed with garlic. Service was good and staff were friendly but I won’t be going back.

Such a lovely restaurant! Went for the first time and will certainly be back. Such an authentic restaurant, lovely staff and real nice atmosphere. The food was like being back in Italy, between us we had a bruschetta, pizza and a chicken pasta dish and it was out of this world! We took away some cannoli which were also very nice. Regular of ours in Deal. Lovely food, staff and atmosphere.

A small relaxed restaurant with a varied menu, including various non- meat options. The pizza ( large enough for two) and bread were delicious and the Greek salad was fresh, chunky and very well dressed and seasoned. We will leave enough space to try one of those interesting looking desserts next time. Thank you.

Having been a supporter of Margaritas for a few years and rating it as one of the best restaurants in deal, last year it changed, now having had three meals there recently it’s bang average, food is tasteless, and service is dreadful, to the point where I’ve had to tell the staff what I’ve eaten in order to give me a bill, unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be recommending or indeed visiting myself anytime soon

Cafe- like small Sicilian restaurant that exceeded our expectations. Good menu. Presentation was a little homemade for some dishes but my tortellini stuffed with burrata with garlic oil and black truffle was delicious and looked pretty too. Pizzas were good. Chicken ham and assorted mushrooms penne is also recommended. Despite being a large group, which I appreciate can be problematical in a tiny place, the service was good overall.

Delightful restaurant in the trattoria style!

I've been to this pizza place last year quite a few times and couldn't fault the pizza, soft and chewy, pizza was so nice, then we went back yesterday Tuesday 9 January 2024, the pizza base was like cardboard and didn't taste like pizza dough at all. Very DISAPPOINTED ☹️ sorry to say I wont be back again, also it was very cold to sit in, no heating in restaurant

A lovely little Italian restaurant serving tasty authentic meals.

We were in Deal for the weekend and were looking for something different, so pleased to find Margheritas, a fantastic traditional Italian. Food was great, service superb - highly recommended will return next time in Deal.

It advertised fresh pastas of the day on the menu, my family ordered a couple of items of the list to be told there was no fresh pasta of the day left, at 7.30pm?? They could have been told that when they were given the menu’s and there couldn’t have been much made if they had sold our?? The food was not as good as usual and fir the prices and of the wine is disgusting!! Talk about taken the Mickey out of people, if I had known it had gone up do much, I would have gone somewhere else £32 a bottle of wine? £9 for a glass of pink Prosecco and the worst part No Limoncello, an Italian restaurant and no limoncello, they had used it in a desert apparently! So replace the bottle.!!

First time eating in after using their delivery service numerous times, and had a great evening. Restaurant is cosy but managed to cope really well with our large group (9 people), but it is probably more suited to groups of 2 and 4. Food is good quality and authentic (even the portion sizes that are typically Italian too!). Can highly recommend the calzones, as they are some of the best ive tasted outside of Italy. The only minor negative point is we ordered an antipasti platter which had lots of different things to try but it seemed a little sparce on key components for the price, coming with just one slice of mozzarella, 2 pieces of bread and 3 bread sticks, seemingly to share between 2 of 3 people. Cheaper ingredients bulked it out such as tomatoes and beans.

Small and friendly. Freshly cooked pizzas with a good selection of toppings.

Tasty pizza, cooked properly (not undercooked and doughy). The meaty mista pizza and the cheesy Milano pizza with a decent coffee and a tea. Had to take some of it home for lunch the next day, still as tasty.

If you plan to visit this fantastic place book a table as it gets very busy. The food is top quality. Once inside and seated the service is the best there is for such a small place.

We have been there once after the festive season. The menu was extraordinary, tasty, really Italian and so delicious! Highly recommended.

Very good food but time given for meal too short. 1.5 hours not enough for full meal and coffee and felt pressured to leave. Only one waitress for full restaurant.

Visiting Deal, we were pleased to discover this authentic Italian restaurant. The food was lovely, and the service was excellent. It was busy, and had a good atmosphere. My only criticism was that it was very noisy.

Ordered a chicken burger and fries for £15. Bread bun was soggy and likely from Iceland, and chips arrived soggy too. Really disappointed for a lot of money. Seafood risotto was okay but contained one clam and 2 mussels for another £15. Lesson learned unfortunately….
