Marco's Takeaway Hawick in Scottish Borders

Got food delivered last night. Wow worst tasting pizza Ive ever had 🤮 grease dripping from it donner meat looked like it was reheated multiple times 🤮🤮ohh and his home made lasagna is freshly made 😂frozen before a stint in microwave . They don t take complaints very well. full refund was giving.

Delivery took about 2 hours to come. The pizza had hardly any chicken on it and had a burnt crust. Mayo was watery and tastless. Chips had no sauce or salt. Will not be back

Chips were reheated,,,fish was lovely.

The food is ok. Although they like to over charge you. Best check and confirm prices, it seems they always make up prices and always increase them. For that reason I am unlikely to return.

The food is good. The service is very helpful and assistive. Definately have had a number of good meals

Absolutely wonderful spicy chicken salad wrap. Cooked to perfection so hungry after a journey from the Midlands. Son and Husband both looked their meals. A perfect takeaway. Many thanks.

Placed a phone in order as I have done a few times at Marco's. Waited almost 2 hours and decided to call in where I was told the delivery driver had been trying to make delivery. They could have tried pressing the entry buzzer as it's loud enough to wake up the dead, but no sign of anyone. Told not to order from them again.

All good, ordered online and collected.

Just spent £30 on a 16" pizza which is cold and a mixed donner kebab also cold and just looks like meat slapped in the middle of a soggy wrap. Delivery was 20 minutes late. Phoned and asked for something to be done but the man who I'm assuming is the owner was very rude, didn't want to replace the food or give me my money back and was then heard swearing about me complaining while I spoke to another member of staff. Not happy at all and will never ever recommend this place for the bad quality food (meat products including chicken delivered cold just screams food poisoning) and horrific service from the owner. His only excuse was that they were busy however I have ordered from Tony's (also in Hawick) several times while they were very busy and always received hot, good quality food. Eventually they sent the delivery driver to give m my money back in exchange for the boak inducing food. No doubt the food is premade and sat in the takeaway with the hopes of some poor punter asking for it as previous reviews also suggest. I suggest either sort your owner out or close the shop if even hot meat products can't be provided!

Used to like this place but just had pizza was the worst I have ever had and king rib was stodgy all batter. Kebab looked and tasted like it was a week old. Won't be back. GW.

Just been to this place and asked for a special fish supper at 21.30 was told all the fish he had left was in batter (2) sitting in display cabinet Probably hoped I’d have took 1 of them Went for a sausage supper instead ,bad move it was barkin looked like the last of the chips and think the sausage had been sitting there from opening time as the batter was solid apart from the greasy side which it was lying in the cabinet checked on opening times 4-10.30 Surely it can’t be too much to ask to put a wee special on ?an hour before closing Anyway chips and sausage now lying in the footwell of the lorry widny give it to a dog rant over

Fish and chips wasnt very crispy or flavorful..mostly soggy and messy. Expensive for just mediocre takeaway. Large menu with pre-cooked food sitting on display make the place feel cheap. But perhaps some people like that. Overall I've had much better fish elsewhere and for cheaper, but also have had worse.

Chicken Kebabs with salad and mayonnaise are amazing, Chicken Pakora wonderful, fish also amazing. Lovely people. Best there is.

This is the only place I like burgers from and that's because they are always packed and made just perfect, the staff used to give poor customer service in my example but that's definitely changed now. 😊

Don't like his food attitudes problems with his staff and antisocial

Ginos is the best chip shop in hawick with very friendly staff, and deliveries are quick. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
