Marble Chinese Take-Away in Telford and Wrekin

Had dinner from Marble Chinese Takeaway last night and it was amazing! Ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Beef Chow Mein. Both dishes had generous portions and tasted delicious. The service was great and delivery was quick, and the food was ready for pick-up in about 10 minutes. Prices are reasonable too, especially for the amount of food you get. Definitely would recommend it to everyone!

Disgraceful ordered at 6.20pm food did not arrive until 7.35pm (I live no more than half a mile away) which was cold an not edible the chicken was chewy an rubbery chips cold an stale food hub was useless so phoned the shop to be told basicly tough luck the woman put the driver on the phone an I said I'm out of pocket for food that was not edible he passed the phone back to the owner an said cut him off terrible service an people

Awful food delivery took far to long over an hour when it arrived stone cold chicken was chewy when complained woman I spoke to didn't understand pasted me to delivery drive who then passed it back saying cut them off so rude

Absolutely brilliant. Great food. Best satay I've tasted for a long time. 😋 Good value for money. Plenty of choice on the menu. Delived on time and hot. Delivery driver very friendly. Highly recommend.

Probably the worst Chinese I have ever eaten..overcooked tasteless food ,the only nice thing was the curry sauce! Absolute waste of £40 !

My husband and I always used to use Marbles, but we moved out of the area. Having come back over the weekend, we thought we would try it, and we are so glad we did. I have to say it is one of the best Chinese takeaways we have had in a very long time. It was incredibly fresh and the best salt n pepper chips I have had from. Superb. The portion sizes were incredible, and value for money was amazing. I'll be thinking about this for days, purely on the taste, portion, and value. If you haven't tried this place or have not been here for a while, you won't be disappointed.

Had one last night .really enjoyed it much better with the new owners. Will definitely be visiting again..and delivery was only 40 minutes

Leafletted Newport in the morning so ordered that evening. 2 hours 15 mins to get food. Rang after 90 mins to say I would receive food in 20 mins, then they closed the phone line so you couldn't call them. Disgraceful service.

Absolutely delicious meal this evening! Very extensive menu, lots of choice and a good vegan selection. Will definitely be ordering again!

Food was awful, not cooked properly, chicken wings were cold, crispy chilli beef tasted off. Waste of money and won’t be going there again.

We stopped using Marble because of bad meals. But having met the lady delivering the new details we gave it a try. IT WAS GOOD. Beef curry and chicken chow mien. Good portions, good quantity of beef and chicken and both tasty. We will use again.

I moved to Muxton in December 13. We nought a Chinese takeaway from the old Marble on the day we moved it, it was awful, gopping. Most of it went in the bin. I haven't returned until recently when the Marble changed hands. The first meal we had was a few weeks ago and was very good. I've left it until this evening to review having ordered a meal for four. Quick delivery. Here in 20 minutes. Pleasant driver. Enjoy your meal he said. We did. Chips, curry sauce, yung chow fried rice, which was very light, pork chow mein and chicken foo yung. Really tasty. We will definitely be ordering from here again. I read reviews, there are 27, 25 relate to the old Marble, 2 which were both 5 star relate to the new ownership. I think it's been open a couple of months. There must have been a lot of people try the new takeaway bit only 3 people have now reviewed it. Cmon Muxton, get your reviews in.

Marble was closed for a few months and I have to admit having had a few bad meals I really didn’t think it would be back, it reopened a few weeks ago now with a new menu and I think new management so we tried it again, I can not fault it,meals for a family of 5 have all been top notch and really tasty I hope they can thrive from here 👍

I will like to say the food was nice really enjoyed Curry was nice and rice was lovely As the new Owner you have done well I will be back to order again from you

We ordered from Marble for the first time ever this evening when I placed the order we were told it would be with us within the hour! After chasing it arrived nearly two hours later!! Very poor service! The food was not short of disgusting the sweet n sour was vile the egg fried rice had no egg and was a congealed mess that went straight in the bin! The curry sauce that was water was vile and inedible and the chicken was most definitely not chicken just awful!!! When we rang to complain we got told to bag it all up and send it back! We ended up throwing the lot away and having cheese on toast for diner! This take away is a waste of money with the worst food we have tried! Please find an alternative take away! The only place our bagged up food waste is going is to environmental health for examination totally disgusting!

Excellent varied menu. We often order from Marble using their Home Delivery service which is well worth the extra £1 charge. We’ve never waited more than 30 mins and the food is always hot and fresh! We use Msrble at least once a month What’s not to like?

Curry and chips they need to learn to cook them., under cooked and the spring rolls if I'd thrown them I'd of killed someone

I think I’ve already stated this problem before. But they keep doing it, so...I no longer usually use this place since discovering the Shanghai Star in Donnington, but I was tires and wanted to get home.After a long day I went here & ordered a Singapore chow mein. I was looking forward to it so much.When I got home, yet again they had given me a Singapore fried rice. This is at least the second time they’ve done this and I was really annoyed. No I didn’t drive back or phone them up as I had just completed a 20 hour drive.But why do they keep doing this???

One word - disgusting. In fact, here’s another - avoid! Poor food, incredibly poor food, REALLY bad food!

Used to be good food but last order arrived was greasy and tasteless and cold and was late to be delivered.

Ok, I have lived in mutton for 32 years and not once has it been closed down or had new owners. I don't know what or where these reviews are based, but all I can say is, whatever!!!

Omg what can I say it was shocking tbf the rice was cold and it can't be good when finding a hair in the food

Had a take away have not ordered since tgey have re opebed after being closed down the lady on tge ohone very polite lovely telephone manner the foid cane hot a bit tasteless but ok the beef curry looked as thou it was already sliced beef yiu put in microwave to be cookdd i asked fir mild it cane as mild but more watery i think it drpebds on a day you phone you might ring on a tuesday and tge food is different depends kn tge cgef that day

Usually go here once or twice a year as its not the best for Chinese in Telford, but we do enjoy it after the Donnington bonfire when we have the basics ie chips curry chicken wings. This visit was fine and enjoyed it.

I felt peckish wanted something small decided to have chip, rice and curry sauce, like the bargain box. Ot was still hot when i got in temp wise. I must say it hit the spot. Lovely all round.

Ordered a take away gd fast service driver very polite as usual food hot very nice but what a disappointment chicken balls were black chips were like three weeks old grave was like chicken and sweet corn soup but without the chicken and sweet corn beef in mushroom was like it had been stewed instead of fried I did complains and they did say 10% next order but I told them it wasn't good enough as we expect good food we work hard for our money like the good people reading this review but we expect better service than this recently they had been closed down by eh we now know hy

Picked up sweet and sour Cantonese style for an impromptu dinner and have to say the pork tasted bleached and was not edible. Disappointed to say the least and unfortunately will not be returning to this establishment

I've used marble takeaway for many years I even looked after there son when he was at nursery, there always really helpful I sometimes have my order delivered and even the drivers are polite unlike other takeaways I've never had a problem with the food I think it's definitely the best in telford.

I telephone my order, told me it would be about 10/15 mins to collect. The staffs are so friendly and polite, also notice they recently had their food hygiene inspection.. rating of 5... Very nice! The food is nice, never had a bad meal yet (fingers cross).P.s the chips are fabulous!

Ordered 3 meal's beef curry meat was grey and stunk,lemon chicken was a congealed gloup & chicken chow mein with BBQ sauce was just dirty All were tainted, meat was rancid never again

I have visited this takeaway a few times, and the quality never improves, the Curry sauce always tastes burnt, the chips are like bits that have been left behind, after the best Chips have gone, and the Fried rice seems like it's just Brown rice, not very good!

Me and my partner weekly takeout, chips are lovely, chicken cantonese, boiled rice and duck curry cooked just the way we like it,

Scary delivery drivers and below average Chinese food, superseded by other Chinese restaurants in the area. We try not to order from here unless really desperate.

Even though we have been having a take away from here for at least 3 years the food standard has gone down hill. The food has gone very salty and tasteless specially at a weekend and they can never get an order right so if you dont like onions and you ask for no onions you will get them. If you are exspecting free prawn crackers then for get it they dont do it now thats tight you would think tbey would just to say 4hanks or try and keep you comming back at least the delivery drivers are pleasant

Every week we order from Marble for our weekly takeaway, always good food and service is always fast. Girlfriend swears on the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken curry is lovely from there. Overall good for a cheap takeaway.

This used to be my regular, but to be honest and to the point the service at the Marble is not one that makes you feel welcome at all. It's not until you try somewhere different that this fact hits home. I think the son/daughter operate front of house, I am not after an applause when I enter an establishment but a simple hello - how are you?/ goodbye - thanks for coming and enjoy the food etc....would be welcomed and would ensure I leave the experience upbeat rather than wondering was it me? Something I said?So now for the food, well the food is average, it wouldn't blow you away nor would it leave you too dissapointed. It is simply pleasant.I would suggest china chef in Priorslee or the Shanghai star in Donnington. Both top draw food, and exceptional friendly service.I am sorry Marble but you had the market in this part of Telford due to the fact there existed very few competitors, that advantage has gone now and your service needs to improve to stay in the game.

Well I live in Muxton & the Marble is the closest, but since we discovered the Shanghai Star we never order from the Marble any more. It always seems like the food has be reheated.

Good improvement since our last visit which was 6-9 months previous. At that previous visit we only ordered basic such as chips, curry, chicken wings, yuk sung - but it was awful. However this time ordered similar and it was fine.
