Manzo Steak & Grill in Derby

The takeaway/restaurant have not updated their name or menu. There were ants all over the table and the food did not taste up to standard. The service is disgusting, they did not apologise at all we had to walk out

Found this by chance when walking in the rain. Food freshly cooked, good portions, a little spicy, went back for second night. Always very busy.

Ordered burgers as a treat. Delivered when they said they would be. Hot and really tasty. Onion rings on the side. Excellent fries.

I visited Manzo the other day and ordered a lamb sizzler with flavoured rice and halloumi fries, the cost of this was £12.85 with a Pepsi. The establishment was very clean upon arrival with staff around swiftly to take orders. Parking is an issue here for anyone who does drive. Manzo is in the middle of several good eateries in Derby located near the train station so I was expecting something good. Once the food arrived it was sizzling so did exactly as it said on the tin however it wasn’t up to much. I kept thinking whilst eating the lamb that I know the taste, then it came to me.. it tasted the exact same as cooked pepperoni. The rice was bang average and th halloumi fries were nice. Overall I fount it terribly overrated and whilst it was clean with friendly staff the food was just poor.

Ordered a takeaway tonight and just WOW. The portion sizes are amazing, all fresh food at an amazing standard. Highly impressed as far as Derby takeaways go and will a hundred percent be recommending and using again!

I made a delivery order for my sons birthday as this restaurant was his choice, the time given for a delivery was 83 minutes which I accepted due to my sons choice of takeaway, we ordered 2 burgers this cost £19.40 it got to 90 minutes still no delivery got to 1 hour 45 minutes for me to be told on the phone that the driver has left but they couldn’t remember when as they are busy, their excuse was then that it could be a problem with the roads it was 20.20 for goodness sake. I said it better not be cold when it arrives for them to say you’ll get a free order next time (there won’t be a next time free or not). I asked the driver about the time and he sarcastically said “oh sorry”. I will never recommend this restaurant again I have ordered before which was fine and that was a Saturday night and was on time so you can’t blame the day either like they tried to do. Amazing service. Amazing steaks! Amazing mocktails. Really nice decor inside. We had a lovely evening. We will be back.

Avoid at all costs!! Waited 2hours 25 minutes for delivery. The order was missing items when delivered and when rang they pretended they couldn't find our order to refund the missing items and obviously we was unwilling to wait so long again for them to be replaced. My body the next day also didn't agree with what I had eaten.

Second time I have ordered the Calzone Sizzler as a takeaway. The combination of taste and filling is so delicious, the pastry crisp where it should be and tender and cooked throughout. The combination of chicken and steak with the spicy veg is mouth watering and the sauce ensures that every mouthful is just moist enough. The cheese topping finishes it off perfectly. A dish to be proud of and cant wait to try the full Manzo Restaurant experience.

Dined yesterday with friends I was very sceptical as was not imptessed with my visit last year. I must say, massive improvement with food quality, presentation and service. Keep it UP GUYS, outstanding.

My partner and I have had our eye on this restaurant since the first day we arrived in Derby. We said to each other: "One day we have to try it!", and we did. We ordered (take-away) a T-Bone, Rib Eye and Salmon Goujons. The perfume coming out of the packaging (well packaged, congratulations) was exalting: you brought back so many good memories. All very good, the price is more than fair. Absolutely recommended!

We came here for my sisters 40’th birthday on a Saturday just after it opened and it was covid times! It was perfect for us as it was not busy and the service was fast, friendly and very professional!!! The food was amazing !! Between us we got the lamb chops, BBQ ribs, (starters) sirloin steak, chicken Parmesan, lamb chops (main), peri peri chicken, chicken steak!!! Every single thing was DIVINE AND COOKED TO PERFECTION! I can not fault anything and it tasted superb with so much flavour and was just so delicious! I will definitely be going back and making another trip there, it’s literally yards away from the train station so perfect I can catch the train there!! An amazing treat or perfect for a quick bite !! Love love love !!❤️

The THawk absolutely was delicious my husband thoroughly enjoyed it!! Like he sucked the bone lol!! I had the lamb chops with season rice was superb but I couldn't eat it all so I took the rest with us... Will definitely go back when we return to Derby....
