The landlord was very friendly & welcoming & the locals were amazing. We watched the England game wearing our England shirts with only a couple of issues from some unintelligent teenagers playing darts….but kids will be kids (especially when they’re pretending to be men) Great selection of beers & very good prices & Dexter the dog really made our day. All in all a great little pub with some of the most welcoming locals & the farewell after the win was the cherry on top!

I was with family and friends staying locally in the Village over the past week. Y MANOD was our local, just a few doors down. We had an absolute ball, visiting many times over the week. Great Pub, Quality Beers and Brilliant Staff. Special mention to Nicole, many thanks for your Hospitality! See you again soon; hopefully!

Decided to visit Blaenau for a few hours by train i knew of this pub via Google and thort give it a go.The pub was very nice & host (Owner) warm & welcoming. Learnt alot about the Town and will deffo call again

Disgusted with this property. I booked this in February for September and I’ve just been informed that they have double booked me to charge someone else a much higher price and didn’t inform me that they’d cancelled my booking . So if I had not of contacted The booking provider , we would of turned up to find someone else there and no cottage Absolutely disgusted and would say to anyone either don’t book it or be very careful that they don’t double book you then ignore you as you’ll turn up with no where to stay . Greedy and dispicable

Stayed in the area and stumbled across this little gem, recent new owners with a very warm welcome. Locals all very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, no food yet but owners have big plans for the place. Give it a try you will not regret it. Most friendly pub in the area, walker and dog friendly too, give the quiz night a go, see if you can beat the locals on their patch. Paul & Di, Hull.

We visited twice whilst staying in Blaenau Ffestiniog. A very friendly place to spend the evening. Thursday was quiz night which we enjoyed.

On our first day in Blaenau, after a mountain trek, we walked past Y Manod and saw they were dog friendly and children friendly until 7pm. We went in, and it was very quiet (just one local at the bar) but immediately the bar maid got my dog some water and took our order straight away. Both the lady behind the bar and the customer engaged in conversation with us, gave us tips for the local area, made us feel very welcome. My partners boy wanted to go back again! So we did. And our second experience was equally as friendly. If you are in Blaenau, pop in and see them! We enjoyed pints of welsh ale, the boy was treated to a coca cola in a glass bottle and a bag of crisps, and even Rafa Dog got some treats!

Manod was recommended to us for a visit. We were not sure as we had a couple of dogs with us but should not have worried. Very welcoming to all of us, locals made us feel part comfortable and the bar owner made the effort to go and get some really special whiskies to try. If you are passing through or staying locally, definitely drop in to Manod.

Manod is a stunning Welsh gem hidden in the Welsh valley of Blaenau Ffestiniog. We were lucky enough not only with the the weather being stunning, but staying in the area for a few days. The owners of the pub are amazing! Opened us with open arms (even on the day of the 6nations match - which being English hurt!) However they were amazing and friendly, good beers on tap, dog friendly and overall fantastic atmosphere. Couldn't have found a better "local" for the week! Thank you so much! The English couple with the Boxer!

We stayed in the area for 4 nights and stumbled across this lovely pub. Felt totally welcomed by the staff and locals who drink in here. So unbelievably friendly, and they have sky sports! Would reccomend to nip in for a couple of drinks to anyone passing through or visiting the area :) Was recommended by Pete a walk nearby of an infinity lake which is well worth a visit

This is maybe the best preserved pub iiib the town. Service was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately they don't do food but then only one pub in town does. Still a nice place for an ale

TA reviews were divided about whether food was available; it isn't, or at least it wasn't on a Saturday night in August. Welcoming enough to visitors but the beer was definitely sub standard; probably approaching the end of the the barrel. Time did not allow for a second visit to see whether it had improved.

Fabulous pub that has a Pub Quiz Night on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month starting at 9.15pm. Most beers are around the £2.80 to £3.00 mark and the wine is about £3.30 a 187ml a glass.Locals and holidaymakers mix and dogs are always welcome as it says on the sign outside the door. Very nicely decorated and toilets are spotless.Best pub "in town" and well worth the 10 minute walk out of Blaenau , going towards LLan, just past The Don B&B.As a previous reviewer said "Don't Be Fooled by the Unassuming Exterior". This is a FABULOUS pub in EVERY sense of the word.Normally open at 4pm but from 12 noon on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We were staying in a cottage about 5 doors away. We have been before when we stayed last year. The bar staff and locals are friendly and we felt very welcome.

I like this pub and it has a very nice buzz about it. Decent food, decent drinks...All-in-all a good pub for drinks or food.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior of this great pub! Spent a night with friends as part of a 40th birthday weekend and loved it! Lovely staff and a warm cosy interior made for a great night. Only negative was they don't serve food. Easily the best pub in the area and definitely worth dropping in for a drink (or 6!!).

Much better places to eat and drink locally, with vastly superior menu's, proper beer gardens and childrensbplay areas. Probably ok as a local pub but then again there isn't much competition. One or two of the staff employed there have issues.

Este lugar se podría perder como no la típica exterior fuertemente la marca. Tiene una simple linterna fuera. Vale la pena el esfuerzo, a través de la ciudad y subiendo la colina. Es a la derecha tras el don y se. Hay tres habitaciones. Espacio agradable y fresca, con impecable loos también. La acogida es cálida y atrayente desde el encargado, el personal y los residentes. Una buena selección de bebidas y aunque no lo hagan comida, los aperitivos son geniales.

The Manod is a very nice pub and a good atmosphere and the landlord and landlady are very welcoming one of the best pubs in the area eny one that comes to Ffestiniog should visit the Manod hotel not to be missed

Whether you are a local or a tourist you will get a superb welcome here from the owners Graham & Anne and barmaids Amanda and Angela! Superb wines at great prices, great premium lagers and lovely real ales. A great little pub in a great...

Worth the 5-10 minute walk from the town centre along the High Street towards Llan and coming out of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Don't let the name confuse you. This is a pub and a pub which has had money spent on it recently, modernising the decor...

Nos alojamos en la casa de al lado y el Manod se convirtió en nuestro local. Nuestra familia nos recibieron desde el momento en que entramos. Graham, Anne y todas la gente era muy amable. Quisiera dar las gracias a todos por hacer que nuestras vacaciones aún más memorable y puedo decir con toda sinceridad que era triste dejar. Sin duda recomiendo visitar el Manod, está un poco más lejos del centro, pero para caminar 5 minutos extra. Le encantará el ambiente agradable, acogedor.

El personal es encantador, Hermoso interior, gente amable. Pub con gente servicial limpio para eventos locales. Con una hermosa vista del campo galés

Wir waren dort zweimal an Abend im Pub Essen.Die Wände und der Boden könnten mal eine Überabreitung brauchen, aber Essenwar sehr gut und Preis Leistung sehr gut. Zudem gab es an zwei Tagen Angebote.

Visited this pub several times now - and it is fast becoming one of our favourites. Decent selection of drinks, and very good wines, along with friendly staff make this a winner. There has been a lot of investment here and it is a nice, no nonsense local with the occasional events... they don't do food yet, but watch this space - recommended

really friendly staff always going there because of the satff and they are really funny and the booze is a reasonable price

We stayed in a nearby cottage for a walking holiday in Snowdonia. The pub was a little gem - lovely locals who were very welcoming to us and our dog, and and excellent range of real ales and larger. Highly recommended.
