Manjaros Ilford, 213-215 Illford Lane, IG1 2RZ Something has happened, “”””if Manjaros owners are reading THEY SERIOUSLY NEED TO COME DOWN AND SUPERVISE the team is messing up BIG TIME!””” Place we loved as family, Something has happened THE STANDARD OF SERVICE IS GONE, RUINED AND FINISHED! You’re made to wait for long when restaurant has empty tables! After 30mins of placing order you’re informed that such and such things in Menu aren’t available because they have run out! Service is slow as hell! You’re sitting and nobody comes to take order. You have to endlessly call one after the other waiter for order!

Horrible Experience, ill mannered staff, I took my family to this branch as it was my Brothers anniversary, we were given a small table as we were a family of eight we pull the chair from next table as the restaurant were almost empty, the manager pull up from somewhere and abruptly he said you cannot move things around as you like, and you should stay standing if no chair & wait for someone to provide, We were all in shock looking at the way he was talking. I had to ask him stop as we leaving the restaurant and if I can speak to the manager and he was like I'm the manager! I asked for his name and he behaved liked a goon saying you cannot have my name I said I'm just asking for the name, he got more ruder and kept repeating just leave. I did say to him you cannot talk to us like that, again with impudent behaviour he said I can do what I want because its my uncle restaurant. The whole situation was very upsetting and shocking to us as we were only there to celebrate the anniversary of my brother with family. I would not recommended to anyone probably go else where, where they treat you with respect

Did not like the food at all, we have ordered a whole chicken platter and after the order it just took 2 minutes to get the food in the table, the chicken were luke warm, fries were the same. My three year old son says to me he will not come back to this restaurant again. He was very excited since morning about going to the Manjaros, but now he does not even think its worth the trave and money. Not to recommend to any one.

Service was very slow, waiter seemed to forget items on the order. Drinks served after food and kept us waiting for dessert had to cancel the dessert Poor service, wasn’t even that busy for staff to get confused with orders

Prices increased & quality & service decreased!! Manjaros started off with good food now they don't care about the service or the food! Waiting for sum tym 2b served. Onion rings were the worst. All food was warm as if it was sitting there for ages & reheated slightly! Half of the desserts on the menu UNAVAILABLE! 1 of my fav places has become the worst! Dissapointed! Will not return

I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a highly distressing incident that occurred at your Ilford branch today at approximately 16:30. The level of service and conduct displayed by your manager was nothing short of shocking and demands urgent action. During my visit, I, along with my two children (aged 8 and 10), experienced an unnecessarily prolonged wait, despite several available tables. When I raised my concerns with the staff, the situation escalated dramatically. The individual who identified himself as the manager not only responded rudely but also used offensive language, including the F-word, multiple times. This blatant and inappropriate use of profanity in front of my children, other customers, and your staff is completely unacceptable. Such behavior not only tarnishes the reputation of your establishment but also violates the basic principles of customer service and common decency. I am deeply disturbed by this experience and plan to escalate the matter by filing a formal complaint with your head office, as well as notifying the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the local authority. No customer should endure such mistreatment, and the manager’s actions were beyond reprehensible. I insist on a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate disciplinary action against the manager involved. Furthermore, I request an immediate response outlining the steps you intend to take to address this grievous lapse in customer service. This incident has not only marred my perception of Manjaros but has also left me deeply concerned about the overall management and standards within your establishment. I expect a swift and satisfactory resolution to this matter.

This is for the southall branch. Have eaten in limited parking and takeout also. Normally have waka chicken or parmos with chips. But there is a hidden gem the keema achari parmo burger. It is so tasty with melted cheese a massive burger. I enjoy this place alot.

All the chicken is very basic grilled chicken and your choice of flavour (peri peri, sizzler, bbq etc) is basically just lathered on. Be it wings, fillet or whole, half or quarter chicken, the spices are not cooked through. So you might as well grill some chicken and pour sauce over it. This place is a very very poor knock off of another popular chain. And no beer offered either. Thumbs down here on every level.

What a terrible experience! A group of 7 of us went out for dinner including 2 young children. After placing pur order 1 of the children got their food 30 minutes before everyone else. Had to ask several times for the remainder of the food and had to ask 4 times for water for the table...which the waiter said we weren't allowed tap water so had to pay for bottled water. By law, tap water had to be served in all restaurants! The remainder of the food then arrived with the other child's burger full of chilli sauce (which we had asked to be removed), the mixed grill with 2 pieces of chicken instead of 2 skewers of chicken, the chicken and mushroom dish with over cooked chicken that couldn't be cut into and raw chicken for the pregnant group member! Spoke to the manager who did not apologise once and walked away as I was telling him about all the issues relating to our trip. I will never go or order from there again.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT We went to avail an offer which stated 50% discount on selected menu along with kids meal free ( also selected menu ). We ordered accordingly , waiter took the order and served us. After having food , went to the till and paid the bill. As soon as I paid, I realised they didn’t include any discount nor removed the kids meal from the bill despite knowing that we went there to avail an offer. Upon asking the manager told us that it was our responsibility to inform the lady at till before paying that we need to avail the offer. Though while ordering we already told the waiter who brought us dishes and should have made our bill accordingly. I asked them for a refund and to my surprise I was blatantly refused. I was told “ sorry we can’t do anything now “. The manager sounded really rude and it felt like they didn’t want to help and intentionally ripped us off. To be honest I never liked their food as it’s over rated, prices are ridiculously expensive & taste is not something that I would want to go back for. I only went because of the offer and realised that not only I was given bill which should have been discounted , I was also refused any kind of refund by being rude to me and my family .

We have just been to Manjaros and honestly it was amazing!! The service was impeccable considering there were 22 of us… it was speedy and friendly! Not a single mistake!! And the food was amazing!! A PROPER BORO PARMO IN LONDON ♥️ So Thankyou for topping off my birthday well done ♥️

Absolutely shocking! I was the first to come in I waited 15 mins to be asked if I wanted to eat in, then they sat us down waited 15 mins again to be served. Tables left and right of us and one further down came in after us got served straight away. Then the waitress comes takes our order the tables that got served before are their food and drinks and we still waited 20 mins on top for food it still didn't come, some sort of favouritism going on here Pakistanis getting priority never mind, at the end walked out told the bearded guy looking all lost at the counter, told him we are leaving mate good bye, he's asking what table what table just aired him gave him dirty look and left. Don't go unless ur Pakistani.

I was there for Iftar, they give iftar menu, I ask for main menu, she said sorry you have to order from iftar menu 1st then you can order from main menu… I said I want order from main menu, she said sorry NO you cannot… What the hell…. Forcing people to order they do no not want, I ask for manager, she said I’m the manger… very very rude, this is not 1st time bad experience this 3rd time bad experience, the staff are extremely rude, have No manners and customer service. No wonder why they have only 3.5 rating. Please mark my words do not go there, you will end up so angry… the good reviews are from the people they know. I swear I will never ever go there again

We had gone to Manjaros recently to celebrate my aunt and uncle's anniversary meal. We hadn't reserved a table and there were 8 of us but we were informed by friends that the restaurant had a strange reservation policy so decided to walk in. My own family had arrived on time but two couples were stuck in traffic so we had asked the waitress if we could sit down despite their delays. Mina had told us this was no problem but that we would not be able to hold the table for too long as per restaurant policy - this of course is not her fault and she was incredibly polite in explaining this to us. We sat down and our family arrived eventually after. Mina was very polite and hospitable. The food was great but Mina went above and beyond to make our time comfortable and relaxed especially with our guests arriving at different times.

Food was nice, especially the strawberry mojito (shoutout to the lady at the back who made it, didn’t get her name 🥲). One of their waiters, Nabeel, was really friendly and welcoming.

Today I ordered after my last distaste thinking it will be changed but I was totally wrong as I ordered full chicken which was not cut properly and the chicken strip rice come with chips but I actually counted the box and it was only 10 chips In that big box, I was thinking it will be full to the top but I was wrong. I know there a recession in uk but it shouldn’t effect the quantity of the chips I get… plus I asked for napkins sand didn’t get any I had to use my own😡 I really thought this was a place where I can get best food but sometimes they are spot on and others they can be rubbish. The drives that they send doesn’t really match the description on the Uber app, which I think this annoying.

l ordered my food on uber eats at 1830, I was keep checking when my order would be arriving only to find it has been delayed to 19;25 , at this time l had enough waiting around , so l called the restaurant and some female picked up, for the life of me I could not understand what she was saying , so I said can I speak to a manger then she gave to someone else when I asked him are you the manager he no " I'm a waiter, I said I would like to speak to a manger please.. he then passed me to Fahad the manger and I said "" my food not arrived he said it done we are waiting for drivers, due to the rain. l said to Fahad my food will get cold that not right he said we put on a hot plate and it will be kept cold plus your driver, I cant pronounce his name he is reliable and I will make sure your food is kept warm. Well that was not true my order arrived at 20;05 by the so called reliable driver, no smile on his face j no apologies just handed my husband the food. THE FOOD WAS ICE COLD NOT HOT OR WARM AT ALL. I HAD TO RE-HEAT AGAIN

My family and I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening. We ordered variety of food including tandoori chicken pizza and Parmesan chicken. An hour after the leaving the restaurant both of my children were extremely unwell and exhibiting signs of food poisoning. My husband and I had severe stomach cramps and unwell throughout the night. I had to go to A&E and after many tests was told by the consultant the cause of my stomach cramps were due to food poisoning. Apparently this is common occurrence with many people having had food poisoning at Manjaros. Such a shame as seemed like a lovely restaurant and we had some really good service too. I suggest the management look at their hygiene practices and improve their cooking methods. Until then definitely worth avoiding!!!

Went to pick up a takeaway order and found it was £3.90 more than the menu price. I had ordered directly using their number and the website menu. When I queried the excessive amount, I was shown the small print on the back of the menu which states the management reserves the right to change prices. I would understand if they had changed the prices. Their website still displays the same prices I ordered at. The manager was not very understanding. Maybe because he was young of maybe he thought the small print was enough to exonerate the establishment. He failed to see the implications of their practice It could easily be construed as misleading advertisement and it is malpractice. I have reported them to trading standards. Maybe nothing will come of it but it is imperative that this sort of practice is not allowed to continue. I also notice they don't seem to respond to any reviews. Maybe they don't care

I honestly have no idea why people tend to like this place. The food reminds me of school dinners!...really boring standard food...I went here once and will never go back again. I cant remember the name of the chicken dish I ordered, but a couple of the boneless pieces were really really hard, unbreakable and uncut-able so. I told a member of the staff who went and got his "manager" who acted like I had just insulted his mother! He approached our table and said" whats the problem?"...I explained what the issue was and his reply was "well you've eaten the other bits of chicken so it couldn't have been all bad, i cant give you a part refund on those two pieces". What an idiot!...i just laughed at him and said firstly, I didn't ask for a refund, secondly you need to fix your attitude when speaking with customers, paid the bill for the school food and never went back!...my kids liked the food, maybe they were missing school, who knows!Your better off going to any other restaurant on Ilford lane than this place.

We decided to eat out and take advantage of the government scheme, 'eat out to help out'. Upon arrival, there was a queue waiting outside in the 33°degree heat. After about 8 minutes we were invited in and offered cold water which was very welcome. The guy covering reception was very good, emphatic and clear with issues finding us a table. Fortunately, we did not need to wait long and were soon seated. Once sat, we were left for over 15 minutes and did not know who our server was. It was still incredibly hot and a passing waitress agreed to get us some more water. We waited further and eventually our server arrived. To be fair, the restaurant was very busy. While waiting, I had collected everyone's order and was able to give this directly to our waiter. With are food, we also asked if we could have some more tap water. I was very surprised then to be told by the waiter, that the goverment discount scheme must have drinks with our meal.I firmly told him that the scheme does not require us to purchase drinks. He then responded and said 'good answer'.. as he was leaving he turned and said that we would be the only people not having a drink!. A few minutes later, the manager came and asked if we would lije drinks as these are also included in the scheme. I told him that we understand but would just like water. The manager was polite and thanked us and left.The food was very good, tasty and good proportions. Everyother staff member was very pleasant and if it wasn't for are servers flippant comments, I would give it a 5* rating. I would go back but hopefully have a different waiter next time. Initially got told it was a minimum £15 delivery changed then got told that it was £20. Was left on hold for ages, phone cut off and she didn't have the decency to call back either. I thought I'd try something different so potentially a new customer which they have now lost. Today we visited Manjaros for the first time since lockdown though we have visited many times before. Mirab has always provided excellent service whether it be based on today's visit or previous ones and we wanted to leave a review purely because of the exceptional service that she provides. Despite it being extremely busy at all times, Mirab always has a smile on her face and goes out of her way to help customers. She is a pleasant person and always gives honest opinions when asked what she would recommend when we can't decide on what to order. Manjaros food is always spot on but Mirabs service is the icing on the cake. Mirab deserves recognition for the effort she puts in when interacting and always makes our visit that extra bit special. When manjaros first opened, our little one was just under a year old and decided to have a vomit explosion all over the floor lol. Mirab was so lovely and gave us tissues and even offered to clean up though we refused. Almost a year later we visited with our little one and she recognised him straight away though we are sure it was he vomit that she remembered . Please employ more people like Mirab and keep up with the amazing food quality as it has never disappointed. On another note, we met a male version of Mirab who was named Farhan lol- Farhan here is the shout-out that you requested lol.

Visited here at the start of August whilst staying in Ilford to visit London. Came across the restaurant online. Looked like 20/25 people queuing when we got there but as a couple we were seated within 10 mins. It was full to the brim, probably because Rishi was paying half the bill. The staff worked tirelessly and did the best they could in what was a very busy restaurant. Young lads and girls in probably their first jobs putting the work in and being very attentive. I had the creamy Caribbean pasta which was exceptional and my partner had a chicken Parmesan. Service was good, prices were spot on and the food was quality. We were quite clearly the only white people in there in what is an Asian community but were treated very well and made to feel very welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again if I was in the area. Well done to all the staff

Wanted to try this place out for a while and with the governments scheme eat out to help out I took this opportunity to try it.I have to say there was a very long queue this was quite challenging with kids. However once we reached the front the staff were very kind and welcoming. We promptly got seated and served. I have to say the staff have all been outstanding and gone the extra mile to ensure everyone had a pleasurable experience. The food was exceptional I really enjoyed the parma burger. Considering it was a full house they did not disappoint with the quality of food.I had a great experience and I would highly recommend this to families couples or just to go with a group of friends. Definitely worth the wait in the end.

Ordered via Uber eats and the driver ‘mistakenly’ (I think he took it on purpose) didn’t deliver half the order. I called the restaurant and despite being busy (could hear the noise in the back) managed to help me and they then redelivered my missing items. I spoke with a lady called Nina over the phone (I hope I have your name correct) she helped me resolve said issue and was so friendly in her tone whilst dealing with the issue and was lovely overallThank you Manjaros & you Nina x

Manjaros before the pandemic customer Service is to die for Recently Their customer service it’s gone so poor I made a complaint to the till that previously I took pastor it wasn’t cooked can you please speak to the chef this time it’s cooked properly this guy was on the till with the beard just ignored me And he was playing with his mobile he couldn’t even bothered to answer me Customer service for the business is the most important you can upset one customer but you will lose a few while taking customers order playing on your mobile that’s the last thing you want to do now I’ve realised every time I go the staff are ignorant and they don’t take complaints seriously

I’m literally trying to be polite as possible, but the bloke on the customer service was so rude and tried to talk down to usFirst of all they didn’t have things on the menu that we wanted so we decided to leave and he demanded we paid for the food because we ordered it over the phone and gave us a massive lecture, to then look like a wally when he finally let us in the conversation we told him we hadn’t which then become a bit awkwardWe thought we would try the food as we had heard really good things so tried a mix grill and I’ll be honest the lamb was so tough I thought it was gonna have a fight with me and the chips were so soggy when you held them up they just fell apart I’m not going to absoloutely slam them though as the chicken wings tasted really good so I’ll give them that one The whole situation was just a bit crap and my other half wouldn’t talk to me all evening as I suggested getting it and not a happy wife is not a happy life

went there for lunch with my son. As my son felt it bit spicy he wanted some water. I was told that the water from their tap is not fit to drink and therefore asked to pay for bottled water. When I challenged, the manager offered a small bottle without charge. The owner then arrived and advised that they do not have a tap in the kitchen and the one in bar is not clean water and therefore NOT fit to give to customer. He also advised that he has consent from the council for that. With the current situation it is bit worrying and I am unsure having a tap which does not have clean water fit for drinking can be used in the bar to clean their glass and plates. The owner calls it a fine dining restaurant and he reckons that is why he charge for water !!

Customer service is 10/10, food is 10/10. Staff are soo friendly and welcoming and food is amazing once agian. Defo recommend manjors for all ages groups

Food quality &’ service was beyond me, exceeded my expectations! Will definitely recommend, family, friends &’ children friendly.

I wish I could rate this lower. I have allergies and this place was not helpful at all. The manager who initially gave me the folder of allergens didn't help at all when I pointed out that all the foods from the menu are not on the allergen list. The next manager tells me to avoid all the marinated chicken if you're allergic to dairy. I, by myself, find something that I can have using the folder and the menu to which I have to further alter my order. The buns have milk and so I requested to go bunless (something that is offered at many places small or big). I asked if I could get a substitute instead of the buns to which the manager said no the buns are not worth much so no. It irritated me more that the server offered my friend a free dessert when I was offered nothing initially. It was until my friends stated that this was wrong that I was offered a free drink. After complaining so much and ruining my evening I got the free drink and 10% off my bill. But what was supposed to be a fun dinner with friends turned into me feeling like an inconvenience and not wanting to be there. This is wrong!I would not recommend this place for people who have allergies as there are many other places that offer a better service.

From the greeting to the payment everything went lovely. I was served by Yaseen who gave us a lot to laugh about. Although we accepted defeat over the amount we ordered it was still delicious and we look forward to coming again soon. Thank you for having us!

Heard mixed reviews of manjaros , so had to try it for myself . It was amazing , good food ,great portions , great family atmosphere and great value for money .What more could you ask for . Menue catered for everyone from pastas to fried chicken ,curries and steaks..I would def recommend this restaurant to family and friends , and a special thanks to the staff , service with a smile and attention to detail

Hi my name is Aman and I’m suffering from diabetic today I used toilet for emergency but the staff misbehaved with me for using a toilet they said I need a permission for using toilet this is really a discussting because I m regular customer of restaurant

As usual fantastic food. Went with a party of 8, and everyone's food was perfect and tasty! Staff are always so welcoming and talkative, always happy to help! But a special shout out to Jasmine, who was always happy to help and made our visit even more pleasant. Must try, the chicken boti and chicken keema parmesan.

Recently visited Manjaros with the family. The staff were welcoming - they don't bookings so there was a bit of a wait. As they are open till late a late visit will ensure a speedy table. We didn't go overboard with ordering. We kept to a couple of grilled platters, wings and rasta keema rice. It all tasted good however after a while the sauce they use can feel over powering. It was also a reasonably priced so good all around.

Definitely worth the money. Reasonable prices get a lot out of the meal and definitely has the Asian touch staff are all helpful and help look after little ones when dining. No issue is too big for them cannot fault the food came on time was packed with flavour no complaints

came with a few friends and decided to give this place a go, best food place in London. the service given by the waiters was a 10/10, kept entertaining, recommending dishes etc. we were all pleased with the food. our host was Abdus Salam, great service thank you for making our experience here memorable.

Can't say enough things about this place it's spacious, clean,nice looking and the food is amazing and fast service. The waiters are all very friendly and give a brilliant service even during busy times. Will definitely be going back with the family. The food portions are very big and not even that pricy.

Standard chicken - nothing worth writing home about! I had the Parmesan chicken - wasn’t nice! A bit too cheesy for my liking! I don’t think I’d go there again.

We all really enjoyed the food which came really quick, and the service by Mina was exceptional (despite my mate’s dead jokes - apologies for that). Keep it up! Tahian
