Arrived 10:32 as an ambulance driver on break and he refused to serve me in the restaurant saying I was 2 minutes late to dine in but he'd do me a takeaway - to eat in the ambulance. Restaurant closes at 11:00. I'll say no more.

Ordered a take away from the Mango Tree last Saturday after disappointing food from other take always in the village. Very pleased, delivered by a very pleasant young man. We ordered two different biryani, with a sag aloo, both were very tasty, portion sizes were generous, very happy, will definitely use again. Thank you Mango Tree.

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine . very tasty and really freshly made ! Friendly staff and very helpful! 16 pound 5 course meal on a Thursday .Highly Recommended. Will be back very soon .

Fantastic curry house in the heart of a great village. I would highly recommend a visit. The staff are very friendly and polite. Thursday night is banquet night great value for the meal.

Umm. Tasty enough but I was put off by the excessive use of food colour. The mint yogurt was a shocking green and my main was a very deep red

Chicken tikka was dripping in oil and didn't taste at all like the tikka I know and love,onion baj no taste the same goes with mint sauce , biriani was nothing special, had a korma sauce which was tasty would definitely not return

Mango Tree is a gem! The food was flavorful, portions generous, and prices reasonable. The staff were friendly and attentive. The Chicken Chaat and Chicken Sizzler were both spicy and moreish. Haylz enjoyed the Tikka Masala but found it a bit spicier than other versions she’s tried. The Hyderabad was a standout for me, with medium spice and rich flavors, reminiscent of a Bhuna and Madras hybrid. Roar Beer complemented the meal perfectly. Definitely worth a visit! Thanks Saj and Red for great service.

We both loved the Chicken Chaat and the Chicken sizzler, both dishes quite spicy and very moreish. In terms of our mains - Haylz opted for the Tikka Massala which she really liked although did find it slightly spicy compared to other Tikka's she's tried, so definitely worth noting when ordering. I went for the Hyderabad and this was excellent, medium spice I would say but it was bursting with flavors and just cooked perfectly. If you've never tried this dish, it's somewhere in between a Bhuna and Madras if I was to compare it! 😋 Plus did I mention they serve Roar Beer here too, a must have when ordering your curry! We ordered bindi bhaji and it had prawns in it. It is a vegetarian dish that does not contain any meat or fish. My husband was about to eat it but I stopped him as soon as I saw prawns. We are purely vegetarian. When I asked the staff about it, there was no apology whatsoever but “I don’t know how it happened” & “we make it normally separately”. We could have at least gotten a humble apology which we did not at all. Absolutely disgusted by the whole situation, the hunger just finished the moment I saw prawns. If you are vegetarian or vegan even allergic to fish KEEP AWAY, do not eat from this restaurant.

One of the best tikka masalas around and you can't beat the price excellent price for excellent food 😋 it's my go to curry place every single time!!

Fab Indian restaurant with an extensive menu offering plenty of vegetarian options. We ordered a variety of dishes between us: I had the Vegetable Korma, Saag Aloo, Bombay Aloo and Pilau Rice - all of which were delicious and very moreish. There’s also a good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks available. Service was excellent, and the staff were very professional. Fabulous food, nice atmosphere, and great value for money. I would definitely recommend visiting here.

Went for a birthday party catered for 20 people. They were very attentive to everyone - all the food came out at a similar time all hot and everyone said the food was delicious!! We definitely had a good night !!

Went here last night and the food and service was impeccable. My uncle has been in the village for 40 years and said it’s the best curry house he’s been to in years. Couldn’t recommend enough.

My family member called to place an order and was told to wait 20 mins as the manager wasn’t there - (it was 5pm), We then waited 20mins. Rang back tried placing the order and was told to wait a further 10 mins then. We said don’t worry about it as the family was hungry that we’d get it from a different place. He then changed his mind and said we can place the order. Glad we haven’t booked in for 5pm for dine in, as if what they said is true then you’d be waiting outside etc…. Food was lovely but won’t be ordered from here again due to lack of good customer service.

Food was really nice. We asked for our leftovers to be put in boxes which we were charged for which is really bad service. I don't like leaving negative feedback, but feel this needs to change. As above the food was really nice and much cheaper to alternatives in Whitchurch.

Food really nice . Service & promotion offered for a Thursday night complete shambles !! Be prepared to pay £1 for every plastic takeaway container & every plastic bag to put container in!!! When you are offered to take away by staff (no charge explained until receive bill!!!!) Original Thursday promotion 5 course, Completely inaccurate !!!!

Had an amazing meal here (Sat 14 October). Manager was helpful and friendly and made us welcome. The food was absolutely stunning and very tasty.. the best we had tried in a longtime. We will return and would certainly recommend a visit here

Me and my partner visited the mango tree this evening after seeing it advertised and reviewed by a local page on social media. It's fair to say the reviews were not wrong it was absolutley amazing and the Thursday buffet is extremley good value for money. Would highly recommend and will be returning for certain. 3 hygiene rating should be 1 absolutely disgrace got served a tandoori chicken had one bite notice it was ice cool literally like it’s just come out the freezer staff was very dirty friends food was like it’s been there for days smelled terrible tasted terrible would not eat here even if I payed me

Can’t thank the staff enough for a lovely evening, celebrating my sons 16th birthday. The food was fresh and really tasty, but it was the staff who really made the night. Nothing was too much trouble, balloons on the table, keeping the cake hidden in the kitchen, bringing it to the table and playing a birthday song, and even going to the shop to get a drink for one of our party that they didn’t have. 5* food, 5* service, thanks so much 😊
