Mandarin Buffet in Belfast

So a few years ago it’s looks alright but now it’s looks amazing like the food and all of the staffs are extremely friendly especially when I saw one of the staffs helping the wheelchair person, its kinda overpriced but it’s worth it

Food is OK wud still go back again I went for dinner and was waiting a while for them to fill up empty dishes.there mussels and prawns r nice that's all I wud probably go back for

Excellent lunch great selection for price, lovely staff! Ate too much beef massaman curry it was so lethal, wish I left more room for amazing cakes including carrot cake + this amazing caramel peanut shortcake. Could have ate litres of the mint ice cream without choc chips been looking for that all my life and would go back for that alone

It is OK for a treat but not worth the money as a go to. The staff are great in lifting and changing the cutlery but regarding the food and pricing it is quite high for what you get. The food itself is lovely but at the same time I cant justify the cost £80 for a family of four and our two girls didn't eat their money worth. For a birthday or anniversary treat yes it is great but not for a regular.

So we went here for Lunch and food was okay not Perfect as you know Lunch time nothing Much TO CHOOSE TO MUCH CURRIES It was just a normal chines buffet full of noodles rice dishes and several Stews The worse thing was You can only PAY BY CASH this is absolutely a big Problem many eaters who were there . THIs needs to change as Now days People ONLY PAy By CARD

I've been aware of this place for years but had never been. But the bullet this week as we were going to the cinema later on so it seemed the most convenient place to get something to eat. £15 for all you can eat Chinese buffet. I had 3 plates and a desert so I definitely got my moneys worth 😂. The food was grand. There was loads of different dishes to choose from. Their crisp chicken dishes where as large and soft as I would have liked but it still tasted OK. Their beef and pork was great, and the prawns, albeit only a couple of dishes were yummy. The restaurant itself is very dated and they still use the old system of orders on paper being manually put through an old till from the 90's. It has a similar feel to an all inclusive buffet at a hotel overseas. None of this bothered me, but can see it could others Overall I thought it was a great spot to pig out on as much food as you want without worrying about the price, especially if you love Chinese food. They also sell bottled alcohol that's much cheaper than most bars. Would go back again

Don’t accept card and if you want to withdraw from atm outside, it charges you. After all that I went eat there was no prawns and generally most of the food was chicken. Only one option of beef. Unpleasant staff and one of the staff told me that I can’t have many prawns, only because I asked how long it will take for them to brink the new tray.

Highly recommend due to excellent food and service, huge selection of beautiful Chinese and thai food

Due to the pandemic you are no longer able to serve yourself so you have to tell a member of staff (one girl in particular quite judgemental and miserable in portions) what you would like - which they take advantage of and insist on filling up on chips, rice and noodles rather than the actual meat, the menu has been limited with less available yet the quality is awful, food is bland and some has been lying in the bambrees for sometime and yet they still charge full price??? Definitely will not be back ridiculously priced for what you actually receive and rubbish service.

Personally I’m not a fan of Chinese food and this establishment didn’t do much to sell the aspect to me. While the restaurant was clean, the food just wasn’t great on it, a bit overpriced for what is being offered in my opinion. Personally I have zero desire to return to this restaurant.

They have a tip Jar but the staff dont get the tips. That infuriates me and I'm sure is against the law now. Food was nice thought and I will be back but not leaving a tip to the thieves.

I had to attend a training course straight afte work in belfast and I had already booked cinema tickets to see Joker in the moviehouse. My Girlfriend and I decided just have soemthing to eat here and we were not dissappointed. I've eaten here a few times and never had any bad experiences and this time was no different. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was quick for the drinks. Nice selection in the buffet, chicken curry, peking pork, beef and black bean sauce, honey chilli chicken, sweet and sour chicken to name a few. Great selection of Desserts also. Banoffee pie and Chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and jelly. Can't comment on starters or soups as I didn't try them. But all in all a good experience and good food.

£8.50 before 5pm during the week? This has definitely had a price increase. As I was there 2 months ago and it was just below £20 for 3 people. Food never changes so after a couple of times it gets boring.

I have never eaten in a worse establishment in my life! Really poor selection of food, over loud music and surly un-cooperative staff. Maybe we visited on a rare bad day, but somehow I think not!

Kids off school yesterday (elections) so treated them to Chinese buffet. £17 for me plus two and they sure had their fill especially desserts!! Good selection of food and quick.

Los precios aquí son excelentes para familias con niños pequeños ya que obtienen tarifas reducidas según su altura. Buena variedad de comida y se reemplaza regularmente para que no tenga sabor rancio. Para una comida de buffet, la comida es buena. La única mejora sería en los postres. Como los pasteles son guardados I. Los frigoríficos son un poco duros

Estaba esperando mi mujer y mi hija mientras que asistieron al concierto Niall enriqueta. Comimos todo el día no había, así que el hambre era crudo, así que es mejor ir a que el buffet manderin. En la entrada del restaurante no estaba llena y tuve mi elección de asientos. Es una organización de auto servicio y la variedad de platos es más que adecuado para todos los gustos. La comida estaba bien presentada y todo tenía grandes cantidades disponibles. Probé un número de platos diferentes, y me pareció que todos ellos de buen nivel y muy sabroso. Había una buena variedad de entrantes, platos principales y postres. En recomendaría este lugar como alternativa a Cosmo, en primer lugar es más barato, y siempre he sido capaz de conseguir que, a diferencia de Cosmo sentado puede ser difícil conseguir asientos. Cosmo habría una mayor variedad de comida en comparación, pero la calidad de la comida sería similar.

We went today for them opening as we haven't been in a long time, we arrived 10mins after it opened, got our seats ordered drinks, went up got what we wanted, sat down, started to eat and it wasn't even warm never mind hot, the only thing that was warm was the cocktail sausages and the curry sauce. Price has went up a bit for a Sunday buffet, still good enough value for your money but not when food isn't warm. Don't think we'll be back.

Had lunch here and wasn’t disappointed m. Best priced Chinese buffet with a large varied selection. Free car parking and lots of other amenities. Great stuff.

usually the buffet is very good but we arrived close to closing time and while our plates were full we had a waitress come over and ask us if we were finished ? clearly the plates were full ? we felt uncomfortable and let her take the plates then paid and left. hit and miss really on this one

La comida estaba bien, el servicio era pobre, el personal ni siquiera sabía el precio de un café! Lo peor de todo era que no tenían tolerancia para los niños, en especial un niño autista. No volveré, y dudo que alguno de mi familia estará en una prisa de volver.

Yo estaba en la zona y necesitaba una solución de comida china, abundante, prisa y foros de gran precio. Así acabé en la cocina que era Mandarin Buffet. Me dieron muchos repetir por £6. 99, lo cual es genial para 4 platos (yo no tengo postre). Todo estaba sabroso y caliente (excepto para dos cosas). El personal es muy eficiente

He estado en numerosos restaurantes buffet chino debido a la labor que hacen. Este no es uno de los mejores, pero diciendo que no es el peor que he comido. Me encontré con un autobús de fiesta, el personal era amable y servicial. La comida como he dicho no fue el mejor pero estaba bien para el precio que pagamos.

Mi amigo y yo comimos en cocina, antiguamente Mandarin Buffet. Para un almuerzo buffet en 6 libras. 99 fue excepcional relación teniendo en cuenta el menú. Teníamos langostinos, pollo y cerdo hizo de muchas maneras. Yo diría que es un buen restaurante buffet (no es un gran fan, pero mi almuerzo buffet chino quería mate! ! ! ! ).

Visited a few times over the past six months and they only take cash for payment, they don't accept card,even though it's only £6.99 per person before 5 they always round it off to the nearest pound,it might only be a few pence but if they do this with every customer every day it soon adds up to about of money there making.next time il ask for my change and I think everyone should do the same.

Éramos un grupo de cuatro (3 adultos, 1 niños). Llegamos a una hora en el servicio de bufé y encontramos lo que queríamos fácilmente.

Servidores muy grosero/personal. La comida era terrible, no una gran selección y lo que había allí era frío. No se lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

Pelo en la comida, dijo personal y tomó dinero de mi factura de refrescos. No volvería nunca más. No queríamos chino cabello!

Toda la comida era estar tanto tiempo sobre la tenía enormes pieles de salsa. Los postres eran obviamente de Islandia. La sopa parecía vómito. Irónico porque estaba toda la noche vomitando después.

I have eaten here several times & always found it to be busy, clean, great food variety, hot food, fresh & tasty. I will say that twice I have seen some of the staff carry or move food with their hands when refilling the dishes, which I am NOT a big fan off. Otherwise 100%. Highly recommended.

Wife took me here for my birthday and all i can say was the food was excellent and the dessert was excellent aswell.The place was clean and tidy ,and the staff was very friendly .

Went here tonight and not only was the food disgusting, cold barely existent as many trays were empty, a staff member picked his nose for a period of time on the restaurant floor. I wanted to refuse to pay only my partner was too embarrassed. He is now in bed sick ( coincidence or not I don't know ). Avoid at all costs. Cost us 24 pounds and all we ate fully was the rice and ice cream. Dont know what the honey chilli chicken was but it didn't taste like chicken. It was, what I can only describe as gloopy and sticky. Horrible.

this is a good buffet, not the best I have eaten in but it fitted what I was craving for. lacks a decent salad bar however all the other usual buffet foods were there and it has the best desert selection of any buffet I have been to

Been to this place numerous times and was pleased with everything, but on this occasion wasn't very happy, wasn't many people when we went and I think I know why, lukewarm to cold food and when I told one of the waiters he replied, and I quote, no problem, then I take it it was the manager who came out and took a sample of the food away, he was the one who I paid on leaving and got no response from him although I pointed the issue out to him, bye bye mandarin I definitely won't be back,

very nice chinese restaurant the staff are very pleasant and helpful.he food is very nice although compared to several other buffet style restaurants there's not a very big selection of food.the restaurant is very clean and the sevice is very good.also conveniently situated for parking etc

Had a late lunch here today trying it for the 1st time. £6.99 per adult and £3.50 per child for all you can eat Chinese buffet. Quite a selection of starters and mains on offer. The cocktail sausages appear to be the good quality brand. The plates are cold and the food could be a bit warmer (I like my food piping hot). The chicken curry was delicious and the chips were great. There's an array of dessets on offer but they look like cheap ones from Iceland to be honest. The chocolate fudge cake looked nice but I opted for the profiteroles which were delicious and our little girl had ice cream and a handful of grapes. With the meal, two cans of soda and 2 glasses of cordial it came to £23 which we thought was great value. The staff are very pleasant and clear dishes as soon as you appear to be finished. Whilst it's not the nicest Chinese buffet we've had it wasn't bad. I'd recommend they find a better way of displaying what each dish is as it was confusing at times. Otherwise we would go back again.

This chinese buffett offers a wide choice which is great as there is something to suit everyone. Staff attentive and reasonably priced.

Went here last week with my mum.I am more of a fan of sit in and be served but thought I would try this out.Eat all you want for £6.99 did sound good!Nice surroundings and a good choice of food. Started with Chicken and Sweet corn soup, it was nice and pleasant and just hot enough to eat.Then I went up and got my first plate of food from the wide choice on offer.When about to get food I nearly roasted by 1 of the staff carrying a large tray of hot chips. Would not even move out of my road and did not seem to understand or speak English.I proceeded to fill my plate from the various selects of meats etc and sat down to eat.A lady came over and take a drinks order. The drinks order arrived by another person, and they placed the drinks on the table, each person got the wrong drinks, while I tried to say about them being in the wrong place he walked away, never even spoke, reminded me of a Robot. In fact all the staff except the owner and 1 other lady seemed very robotic and did not really have any customer service skills, something you need when working with the public!.Started eating my first lot of food, first thing I noticed it was not very warm. I do not like food too hot, but this was on the luke warm side, not a great start. Finished this and decide to try a few more bites of something different. Again not very warm.Most of the food was just on the OK side. Their prawn toast was really nice but most of the other stuff was lacking flavour and there was nothing exciting about it.After finishing the hot (or luke warm food as it was) I went for a few wee deserts.Can say they where delightful and yummy. A good we selection as well.Overall a average mix, staff need more training to interact and understand customers.If you want to feed your face for a reasonable price then this is for you. For me I prefer to pay more and sit down and be served with someone that I can talk to and they can talk back!

Actually really nice, but so much chicken! Smoked chicken was lovely though & the desserts were nice too.

You cant say this is gourmet Chinese restaurant but there is a great variety of food that is cooked well enough. Good opportunity to try a bit of everything! It is all self service apart from drinks, and is pretty efficient. It is a big restaurant and can it can get very busy so boking is worthwhile. It is a very popular place with families and can be hectic and noisy, but in a way this adds to the experience.

Cheap enough, good variety of food and overall nice place,i like getting the duck pancakes but theres been a 2 or 3 times they haven't had the spring onion prepared with the cucumber after waiting half an hour for it to hopefully be served which it wasn't- (minor fault). Haven't any other complaints, staff are friendly are attentive to quickly seat customers but they all look bored lol. Although thumbs up for iced water, free mints and quick table clearing. Would come back as its a convenient place for going to the cinema :)

This is a good enough place for Chinese food as it is excellent value for money. It is handy as it is at Cityside with plenty of parking.

Been there few times !!!!!!! always feeling sick afterwards maybe I am just a fussy eater can't see the food hygiene rate sticker anyway at all in this mandarin ?But Not a impressed place for meal anyway .Never go back again

the mandarin buffet is just like the pound shop for my family can not stop to visit also they cook 80 per cent of chicken dishes with different sauces It's a lovely place , because we like chicken dishes indeed .It's ok for the prices we will be back again

Will never be back again as a common sense ? If you really understand the business your customers will not only focus on the prices also the food quality !For me this is the first time and also be the last time ,because I will not be saving couple pounds by losing the food quality .Sorry pals but it's true !

We have visited the Mandarin Buffet in Cookstown and had a pleasant experience so decided to try the one in Cityside. Very disappointing. Nothing like Cookstown. We visited on a Sunday afternoon at 1.45pm (half hour after opening). The restaurant had two other occupied tables which set alarm bells ring for me to start. The chicken and sweetcorn soup had just chicken and sweetcorn flavour and lots of egg white. Could not find any chicken or sweetcorn in it. This is my sons favourite dish but he could not eat it. When we proceeded to the buffet we could not find a clean plate. Lots of plates but all dirty. You could feel the roughness of the dirt on them and when you looked at an angle you could see the wipe marks of a cloth (disgusting!). The buffet itself was just standard however a lot of the items were cold. My son who is picky anyway lifted a few items and because they were cold could not eat them. When I told the waitress she brought out a chef who was very apologetic and said that the items had been out from opening at 1pm and they go cold if not eaten quick enough. In fairness he offered to cook something fresh that we wished but at this point my son had found the ice cream and was happy munching on that. Desserts were good. Will not be back.

We have just been here today, for the first time and it will definitely not be the last, great selection food, very tasty and staff where polite and courteous, well worth the money

Hi BFM popped into Mandarin Buffet at Cityside and had a gr8 lunch as usual.They are doing their two for one deals on Friday and Saturday from 5pm onwards. It's well work it as its £12.99 onwards. It started on 17th October and I have it on good authority that it will be running all December and possibly into January.Ciao and bye

I feel there is just the right amount of food for a Chinese buffet and not too much choice, so you can taste everything. The quality is consistent and I have nothing bad to say against it. The staff are very good and Michael the manager is great.It's located at the Cityside Mall, so you can do your shopping, watch a money and have food,all at a reasonable price.Once again the BFM shares the food love!!! If we fancy a Chinese buffet, we head to Mandarin at Yorkgate. Good food at a good price for a family. The under 1m free is great, as is half price for kids under 1.5m. We normally go around weekends and the selection is always very good, andrl food always fresh. Recently went on a Monday evening and took advantage of buy one get one free which was great, although selection was less, food was still hot and regularly restocked. Would recommend

the salted chilli chicken minus the chillies just tasted like plain chicken the spring rolls were just filled with cheese,the only things i enjoyed was the honey chilli chicken & the prawns overall not a bad experience nor great would go again but wouldn't be first choice of where to eat , China China is delicious big selection highly recommend it as would only go back to mandarin buffet if was at cityside.

i would NOT recommend using this restaurant as there chicken is undercooked and pink as for there desserts the label says fresh cream and when we eat it it was off as if it was out of date i have been a regular visitor to the restaurant and after our experience i will be taking my business elsewhere

Amazing staff..Amazing food..AMAZING!Went for the first time a year or so ago and have craved it ever since.Finally went again recently and it was even better than I remembered!I live a good distance away so can't go often, roll in Birthdays and Special Occasions! Definitely recommend!

Well went there for lunch buffet with lots of expectation, and to our surprise there was an offer 'Eat 2 Pay for 1'. We should have sensed it and should have stayed away but we dared to go further and the rest was a complete disaster.First we ordered soft drink which came to the table so promptly err they gave a colored water. Still went ahead for the food and started with the starter which were too too oily and you cant even eat one piece. The starters were too fried and most of them less edible. The main course, it said veg however I could figure out some meat pieces as I eat non-veg I didn't have much to complain, vegans listening?????The same story with the curry's same meat but in different color.Well few notable items that gave the taste buds a rekindling - sweet Chill-Chicken & Beef Curry.The star of the lunch was the desserts, nothing to complain good variety & good cake. The staffs where really courtly.Final Words: Don't get lured by the offer, stay away!!!!!

The Manderin BuffetCityside Retail PkI along with four other disabled people have attended this restaurant several times.On each occasion the staff have been just excellent, always ready to help us when we are getting our food.All the friends whom I went with all agree that the staff are excellent and always willing to help. I myself am a visually impaired person and have really found them extremely good, “we only needed to get off our seats and they came immediately to help us without us even asking them.” Because of this I would really like to thank them very much.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, an excellent meal had by all.Ryan McCartney

I go to this chinese near enough every Monday night. The food is always cooked to perfection and the hotplates are always stocked up well. I cannot fault this buffet at all. Very reasonable price for what you get.

Nothing to touch the Manderin for price food and service . Am a regular and I travel nearly 100 miles round trip .. Speaks for its self .. Michael is a star , runs a tight ship and is always keen to please .. My family all endorse my opinion .. Promise you won't be disappointed ...

Best chinese buffet in Belfast I have tried. Excellent service from two young sexy ladies which was an added bonus.Food was good although the dessert was a bit lacklustre. Great value for money and it also does 2 for 1 Mondays apart from Bank holidays.

I used to love this buffet when it first opened. After not having been for a while we decided to treat ourselves. Very very disappointed - the prawn toast looked like they had been sitting all day but when fresh ones were brought out they were exactly the same - burnt to a crisp and hardly any prawn in them, the singapore noodles were dried out and basically not good at all. I will not be back and certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

Food not warm enough and waiters who hover and snatch your plate from under your fork as soon as you put the last morsel of food off it into your mouth...oh boy does that annoy me, I prefer to reuse my plate!Price is reasonable pre-6pm but at the stroke of 6pm it almost doubles although the selection of dishes does not increase or vary. Evidence everywhere of how people forget everything their mother taught them once they set foot in a Chinese buffet restaurant...how on earth anyone can slap a thick layer of chicken curry all over a thicker layer of sweet and sour chicken, cover both with ribs and then top it all off with a dozen salt and chilli prawns is beyond me....why do people do this? is there a food shortage...??To top this experience off a toddler sat with its family in the corner near the toilets screamed its head off for the entire 40 minutes we were there making any attempt at conversation an ordeal...and being parents we're not members of the cranky 'child-free' community either, we just don't understand why some parents allow their kids to make so much noise!No thanks.

Pyszne jedzenie w bardzo dobrej cenie ( w poniedziałki do 17:00 2 osoby za nieco ponad 6 funtów!!!). Jesz ile chcesz i jest naprawdę pysznie:) Do tego obsługa wprost cudowna, bardzo nam pomogli. Do tego przyjemny wystrój lokalu.

Very good value for money, good selection of starters & main only disappointment the dessert section of buffet.

love this place. They do such a brilliant buffet, day and night. Its all you can eat as well.On Monday they have buy one get one free and its £6.99 as long as you leave/pay before 5pm. so thats £6.99 for 2 plus a jug of orange for £3 and you and a friend can eat for less than a tenner in this amazing all you can eat restaurant. Its clean, the waiters / waistresses are really friendly. They dont stare you out if you go up for more lol.Definitely cant rate it highly enough. Prawn toast, lovely cocktail sausages, curly fries, soups, large variety of sweet chilli / chicken curry / beef in black bean / sweet and sour / rices etc plus desserts! In fact i might go this weekend, im making my own mouth water!!

This a regular stop for us as are whole family enjoy the food on offer. Food is constantly being replenished, and hot. Always clean, and staff polite.

A very good variety of food. Price includes good variey of sweets as well. As with a buffet, you can eat as much as you wish and refill as many times as you wish. The only thing that is sad about the place are that most of the guests think that it is a time to stuff themselves and stack their plates with food that even my Grandfather's pigs would not be able to eat. I am not kidding, I saw a lady? of medium built who had at least a 4 inch high pyramid of mixed food stacked on her plate. Food is left on the plates, not because of lack of taste, but a lack of understanding that there is plenty of time to taste a little bit of all, and to then go back and have some more of the dishes that you favour. They will keep the food nice an warm and fresh and it will not dissapear after your first plate

This has to be one of the best chinese buffets ever - great value for money and great variety and quite spacious too so you aren't all bumping into each other. Will definitely be back.

i have been here twice this year. the first time i went was with my mother as we were coming out of the cinema in the dismal cityside/yorkgate complex. we wanted something quick to eat and couldnt be bothered with going into town and we dont do take-aways nor fast food.so when mum suggested we go in to Mandarin Buffet i shuddered as from the outside it looks like just another one of the many cheap and tacky dives we have as "chinese buffets" that are increasingly appearing in and around the UK and Ireland.but i was really surprised at this place. the food is very tasty and they have an extensive wine and beer list, including asian beers. it is perfect for a quick meal and while it is not the greatest chinese food i will ever taste in belfast or anywhere else, it is just as good, if not better than other chinese restaurants and takeaways.and the staff are absolutely charming!as the name suggests, Mandarin Buffet is a chinese buffet so id say avoid Mandarin Buffet if you want fine dining,but as far as cheap and cheerful goes, id give it 10/10 for service and for value for money,i would happily spend my money here again and again!

Excellent food none pushy staff, and the the 2 for 1 on a Monday lunch has to be the best food deal in the North of Ireland. Great selection with giant king prawns and even duck. Puts the rest of the buffets in Belfast to shame. My partner and I with my 3 year old daughter ate and had 2 soft drinks and a pint of lager for less than £14. Great value great choice great food.

I enjoyed this place. Went here for my Birthday before heading to the cinema upstairs. Food was good. Lost of variety. Prices are ok. The Chicken Curry is particularly tasty. The staff are pleasant and attentive. Unlike some other Chinese Buffet's I have been too I didn't feel rushed. Good Selection of choices available and even managed to squeeze in some chocolate fudge cake and ice cream for dessert. I have been here about 5 or 6 times now and never had any issues with the place. They also offer a takeaway service which is quite good too.
