Mandarin Buffet in Cookstown

Fantastic! An excellent Chinese with delicious, varied, piping hot food! The customer service was grand, and the atmosphere was unique and pure class! Not to mention it only cost £16 per person for some of the nicest Chinese I've ever had! AND while I'm mentioning price, anyone under 1.4m (4'7") eats half price! And for the wee toddlers it's only £2.50! What a steal! The only thing that disappointed me was the limited dessert options, but that wasn't too big an issue. You simply must give this place a try

This is the worst Chinese I have ever had. We had doubts when we walked in at 6pm on a Friday night and there was only 1 person in the restaurant..the food was cold of what we did have and that put us off.. I was scared to try any of the meat after the cold noodles and salt and pepper chips. So went onto pudding and the icecream was kind of melted don't know if the are trying to save on their electricity bills or something but things should be kept at the right temperatures. The staff were very friendly though and did check that everything was OK with our meals but didn't want to be rude so we paid and ended up going to McDonald's afterwards. The place was cool with the decor and turtles and fish shame the food was so bad.

It was my first time to visit and I was very pleasantly surprised. Dinner was £16.99 and was absolutely worth the money. There is a smaller selection than other buffets but the quality is so much better. I often find in buffets the meat used is dry, tough, chewy or very fatty and full of gristle. Every meat I tried here was soft and very tasty. Good selection of different sauces and fried foods too. The food was restocked quickly so the rice was still fluffy, green beans were still nicely crisp, salt & chilli prawns were hot and crispy and the pancakes for duck had not dried out. I went at 7.30pm and it was a bit quiet but still plenty of people coming for take away boxes. Those customers even asked staff to refill their favourite dishes like crispy duck, salt & chilli prawns and spring rolls and the staff agreed and new food was brought out and taken very quickly, I’ve never seen that before! It’s a bargain for take away boxes but it’s a treat to eat in so you can try the different flavours. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend this to any buffet fans.

Called here for tea. Really disappointed this time. Food was not all warm. Noodles were hard. The onion rings, battered mushrooms, battered chicken were all far too hard. The soup had a thick layer of water above the soup in the soup warmer. Asked for 2 glasses of Coca Cola. The waitress poured them out of a 2ltr bottle and charged £3 each. The desserts were disappointing as well. Have ate here before but both left very disapoointed tonight.

We went at 5:00 pm on Thursday great food nice flavours and fresh, we tried ay many dishes as we could and every one excellent, highly recommend it.

Took my daughter and partner here as daughter done so well in exams.food was so disappointing chicken was so hard couldn't eat it.desert was also bad.it makes ya mad when pay so much to be left still hungry.

Went for lunch, fantastic variety of food well laid out and all very nice. Maybe some could have been a little bit warmer, but really enjoyed. Excellent value lunchtime menu.

Good selection of dishes, with Chinese and western options. Lunchtime during the week is top value. Staff were friendly and quick to clear and serve drinks.

La location è davvero molto bella, il personale gentile. La qualità del cibo è nella media per un all you can eat. In settimana il prezzo è molto conveniente. Il cibo era fresco. Discreta la scelta. Consigliato per un pranzo veloce e senza pretese.

Typical Chinese Buffet food, some good some greasy & tasteless. We will however never return because of the dreadful attitude of the young waitress & the loud dance music playing, it was seriously as though they want to make the dining experience as awful as possible so you move on quickly!

Food was nice and reasonably priced, I would visit a few times a month. Waiting staff on the other hand are awful. Walking around constantly miserable looking. I was still eating and a waitress came and lifted my partners plate off the table, which is incredibly rude to start off with. I then made a comment to my partner about this and another waitress (the one wearing glasses and walking around the restaurant chewing gum with her mouth open) heard me and called her colleague over to gossip about it, straight in my eye line, even looking and pointing over. Completely unprofessional!

Food was ok nothing special.... Didnt think the atmosphere was overly exciting, wont be in a hurry back
