Ground Espresso Bar in Cookstown

Grim at best..cheddar was off in panini, cutlery was stuck together with sticky remains of food and teapots needed more than a good wash..they had a thick line of tea stains from previous dripping spouts. No refund offered for the sour panini. Disgraceful customer service. Definitely won’t be returning. Had gone down hill terribly.

Really nice cosy place to chill for coffee. Foods nice as well especially the bacon and cheese bagel.

Chloe is a little star, an asset to any company, I sincerely hope management have noted how valuable she is.

Great coffee, great range of sweet delights, cakes, biscuits, pastries. Ideal for a catch up with friends or a relaxing moment to yourself with a hot drink.

They need to employ more please to staff on a Saturday. They are unhelpful and look like they don’t really want to be there. As for the toilets the have been out of order for months ? We used to enjoy a coffee n cake here not any more

Coffee was good service was good but the food not so good. Not great vegetarian options. I opted for the cheese and tomato toastie. The bread was rock hard when cooked, I had about 2 bites that's all I could eat

waitress unpleasant, sat at the table with friends. instead of getting interested in the customer, they showed where the sugar is, etc. I had to ask for sugar separately, and for a teaspoon the second time.

Nice location .... Pity the 'OVEN' closes early (15.45) on Saturdays .. it would have taken all of 3 mins.to heat my requested sausage roll ...but I was told such was quite impossible as the oven had closed .... What a way to run a business! ... Customers can indeed be quite a nusance!

Great coffee. Happy, friendly, competent staff. I’ve been going there since it opened. It needs to be redecorated or at the very least painted asap .

Excellent all round, just had to drop a couple because of the price. Not from Cookstown and didn’t know where we might get a wee fry on the way through on a Sunday morning, no fry’s but bacon bap and breakfasts bagel and two coffees was £15. Very nice but I could have got two fry’s in a hotel for same or less, just though it was a bit expensive. Maybe I’m just tight…

Had time to spare today. Decided to go here - I had a lovely latte and croissant. Staff friendly and place very clean

Service was quick staff polite and friendly. Food was excellent drinks were hot. The place was clean and tidy.

Their dairy free coffee is the creamiest most delicious coffee i have ever had. I highly recommend it. The staff is lovely too.

Was in ground coffee today in cookstown @ 2.30 pm nothing I ask for was on the menu no soup no sconce no bacon sandwiches. Got sausage roll . Ask for red sauce they had none asked for salt they had none pleas what cafe That sells hot food does not have salt. I just thought what was the point in opening. Very very disappointed as I brough my sister which had never been b4 passed so many different place which I knew to be very good. she defo not going away talking about this place in a good way. Sadly disappointed

Scones were very dry. They tasted like they had been sitting out for days.

Bacon hardly cooked, pancakes tasted horrible hot drinks were fine, fine customer service

Like many other people I’ve visited the ground cafe for quite awhile now. Disappointing with the low standard it has become. I asked the male waiter “Are dogs allowed inside the cafe” He replied “I don’t know and it’s in a pram” I thought he was away to check with a manager. Nothing was done to reassure me the 3 ladies with the dog continued to order food. One lady fed the dog a packet of chicken or ham keeping the pram turned towards the window and her body shielding as if no one could see what she was doing and trying to hide the dog making it look like a child in the dog pram. There is a 5 star rating displayed on the window but no sign to say dogs are welcome. I would like to know what the policy is if dogs are allowed and when was the 5 star rating granted. As staff would need informed on how to support its customers

Does some of the best coffee in the town when the staff can be bothered to stop talking to people and work, it also depends on who's working as some staff make it so hot it burns the flavor out of the beans and makes it impossible to hold for 10 or 20 minuites never mind drink it. Place could be good but management needs to step up and address quality inconsistencies and some general staff behaviour.

Been going to Ground for quite some time - today is the last time - coffee is good but food is limited and poor quality- cafe needs refurbished- will not be going back , place is going downhill and this is reflected in customer numbers dropping- is a real opportunity for a good cafe doing decent food in Cookstown

Chicken & Bacon ciabatta's, not very warm and really not tasty, partner wouldnt let me raise this with staff. Toilets in need of decoration and general decor was not up to the standard of other Ground coffee shops i visit on a regular basis.

Slightly on the more pricey side but a lovely place with plenty of seats, friendly staff and havnt had a bad coffe/hot chocolate yet! Recommend a try if you never been.

Good customer service, however if you order a skinny latte like we did, check whether it comes with skimmed milk or semi skimmed, ours would have come with semi skimmed milk if we hadn’t have asked!!

Nice coffee and food. Friendly staff. Toilets clean. Floors and tables could be kept cleaner. I think someone was feeding chickens at my table before me today!!!

.After the so called refit, couches still ripped and new lighting makes it feel like a operating theatre, the ambience has now gone and so has my custom.

I like Ground. The produce is good no matter which one I have visited. From Coleraine to Cookstown to Magherafelt. Would recommend Ground to anyone. Enjoy their coffee especially as they do filter and Aeropress

I haven't been here for some time, it has gone down hill big time, food was awful, as was the atmosphere very disappointed, this was such a great place to relax with a coffee, not anymore.

Great place for a wee coffee, even when you order something not on the menu

Everything about this coffee shop is as you expect. However, what put me off is the fact they filled the mop bucket by filling it sitting on the counter where food may be sitting. I did send a PM via Twitter about it but received no response.

Absolutely disgusting the place needs a good deep clean tables a mess and worse of all hids area and baby seats manky i wouldnt advise you to let your children play here

Great coffee if you're a coffee lover. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Here you can enjoy having everything: good place to meet friends, your kids will have small playing area, comfortable seats, your electronic devices can be charged almost on every table you will chose, nice and cozy environment.

Nice and cosy, and the coffee was decent. However the staff where very unpleasant to deal with, they gave half answers and mumbled and told us at 20 past four that we couldn't get hot food as their oven was switched off at half four (ten minutes after our conversation). This answer took a lot of promoting. My wife's coffee was served in a cup that had not been washed since last usage evident in the fact that it was covered in someone else's lipstick.

Clean spacious fast food outlet. The bacon bap is truly exceptional, not only in the generous quantity of tasty fresh bacon, but also in its price and presentation. The other food options are tasty too, and the coffee is delicious.

Walked into this cafe on my way through Cookstown, having been told they serve the best coffee here - they really do. Since I'm the first to leave a review, I'll go over a few things I love about Ground: • fantastic, helpful and happy staff, ready to help out with anything • very good wifi connectivity • hot, tasty coffee (ask for a to go cup to keep it extra hot) • delicious looking freshly baked goods • clean toilet facilities • spacious café, big tables and very comfortable seats and couches(!) Extremely satisfied with their customer service. They have a couple of other Grounds around Northern Ireland which I haven't been to, but if I speak solely for Cookstown I'd say, if you're looking for the best coffee vibes - look no further.
