Would highly recommend a visit but would advise booking in advance as they were busy . Staff were very welcoming and the service was great . We had 3 courses and the food was excellent . Would recommend the nduja arancini and the Sicilian lamb . Will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the menu .

Amazing food and staff, wouldnt of normally ordered the swordfish but the customer next to me was eating it, "looked delicious" well I was not disappointed. We will definately be back!!

First time eating at Mancia since they relocated. We went for my wife's birthday meal and the evening was wonderful. Altogether we were 12 in the party (including 3 little ones) and the team were exceptionally accommodating for everyone's needs. The service was great and the food was excellent. The food and drinks menu are extensive and everyone was impressed by the quality of the meal. We will definitely be visiting again, and I can't fault anything about the experience.

Atmosphere of the place was really good, unfortunately I couldn't say much for the food. Both my friend and I ordered the flat ribeye steak which was appalling, the salad was ruined by half a pot of pesto and the steak, I cannot even describe what is actually was. We made this comment known to our server who passed comments onto the chef. When asked if they will take it off the bill the answer was no because we don't take food off a bill based on people's taste. This was not a matter of taste but a matter of appalling food. Interesting that the restaurant comments to say we ate the dinner when both of our parties left two full meals due how bad the food was! Poor response from the restaurant. If you like good food then avoid this place.

What a night . Gosh disaster. It was my husbands 60th birthday celebration. Our table was booked for 8pm and we got there and got seated straight away , we ordered some drinks they were lovely, all good so far . Then the lady came over with her tablet for us to order our food and we started our food order . 2 of our starters weren't available so we opted for another choice . Nice food , so that was all fine . They were very busy so there was a bit of a delay but we understood. Then after another 10mins passed we were told that only 2 of our main courses were available, so that I needed to make another choice , as I was looking forward to my main I really didn't know what to order so 10mins later the lady came over and said that my husbands main and our friends main was almost ready so maybe as we'd ordered the same meal and they only had 1 available we could share ? By this time is was 9pm and we'd been there an hour , honestly I felt that was ridiculous, so we decided to just leave and ask for the bill , only to be told that my husbands main was ready so it would be best if we had it , we just wanted to leave so we asked for it to be take out as we realised we'd be billed for it . When the bill came they said that they had knocked one of the mains so out of 3 mains we only received 1 and as an apology they complimentary removed the one that we were supposed to share , as I explained that we didn't get a second meal only 1 which we were now taking with us so how is it an apology for taking something off the bill that we didn't receive.? There response was that it was ready and that I'd delayed it being served by not making up my mind about ordering something else or sharing ? Such a disappointing evening and experience, we felt so sorry for the waitress who was left to explain it all . One of the other lady's was just not understanding at all, I'm not sure if she was the manager or owner but not helpful given our situation at all . I understand it was busy but surely don't start cooking food until you know if all that tables mains are available !

We attended with a party of 10, with two Coeliac diners. The service was brilliant and they were exceptionally careful about the dietary needs and really helpful. The food was delicious and would highly recommend. Also very quick with the food thanks to preordering and everyone loved the food. Shout out to Giulia in particular who was wonderful. Definitely be returning!

The food was okay however the wait time for the foods was not good, waited over an hour for our food to arrive (2 mains and 1 side), the restaurant had 3 other tables in before we ordered our food so it was quiet. The restaurant did start to pick up and the gent working was trying his best to attend to everyone but with very little support from the female member of staff who was doing the bare minimum I can understand why other customers where getting frustrated with the slow service. Will definitely try again

Incredible food! But the service on a Saturday evening was terribly slow so I really hope they can improve this. Only 2 waiters working very hard but the wait times were unacceptable.

Our first time at Mancia and it won't be our last! We were walking down Newland Avenue this afternoon and stopped by on a whim. The food was really delicious, fresh and vibrant. The menu was really extensive, with everything from pizza to pasta, seafood to veggie options. I'm still thinking about the lemon cake too, which was so nice! Thank you to Guilia and Debora for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait to come back. ❤️

Having booked the restaurant in advance we turned up to badly organised and over booked new years eve meal with my family. We gave them the benefit of doubt but the service continued to be woefully terrible at best. The Pizza that my son had chosen was good and my pasta was also OK, however it was the only seafood option available on the menu. My wife's meal was tasteless and she never ate it, my mother-in-law only ate the chicken as the cous cous was inedible. The Owner listened to my complaint and discounted the bill but we will not be returning in the future.

Food was beautiful and we can’t fault that. Unfortunately the service was somewhat disappointing. We booked in advance and were given an underwhelming greeting and wasn’t shown to our seats properly. No table water was offered and we waited what seemed an unreasonably long time for our drinks and food order to be taken. Food waiting times were fine, no issues there but we found ourselves not being offered drink top ups promptly. After our meal we paid in cash and left a generous tip, only to be followed out by the bar tender advising we had underpaid after mis-counting our payment, which was somewhat embarrassing and poor. All in all the service was somewhat disappointing but the food was excellent and we will absolutely be returning purely because the food was so wonderful in hopes of a better experience on our next visit.

We arrive for our booking at 7pm got told it wasn’t ready so got moved to the bar. We were stood for 35 minutes no drinks provided not even a drink order taken. All the while a table has been available but no one had taken us to the table. No one reassuring us it won’t be long. I’m assuming the 7.30 booking arrived and they were seated in the empty table before us. We were finally seated. Had to wait another 15 minutes for a menu. The side plates on our table were dirty with spilt coffee on them. After an HOUR of waiting we finally had our orders taken. Another 35 minutes later our food arrives. No drinks. Not even any water for the table. I never complain but this was an absolute joke the lady behind the bar making the drinks was making drinks so slowly I get that they were busy but there was absolutely no urgency at all which personally if I was running a business I’d want my staff to be a lot more time efficient. Back to the food we were a table of 4 and 3 of our dishes arrived. Our drinks arrived. We had an extra drink brought over that we didn’t order. It felt like staff were avoiding eye contact with us trying to get their attention to point out the missing meal ( no point had we complained ) finally after 15 minutes the final dish was brought over to us which left the rest of our food was luke warm. When we got the bill we told the waitress we weren’t happy paying full price as the service just wasn’t great her response felt rather rude we understand they were busy and clearly short staffed but concerning we were very polite this whole time. she took off a drink from the bill. ( which didn’t really compensate considering we had a extra drink we didn’t order on the bill anyway.) I’ve worked in hospitality and I understand how stressful a busy restaurant is but I have never been to a restaurant with such shocking service.

Never disappoints. Still great food and atmosphere in the New larger premises . Going to try the dinnertime menu over the Christmas holidays.

Beautiful first visit to Mancia - it definitely won't be the last! The food was absolutely divine. Well worth a 45 min drive over the bridge for. The owner was so lovely too. So so so highly recommended, we'll be back! Can't wait to try the pizzeria too.

Insanely delicious! There is a true homemade taste to everything and it's all bursting with great flavour. The meat is super tender and the delicious meals don't stop at the main dishes, even the desserts are truly unique and heavenly. Couldn't ask for more and the service was impeccable. A top class cute restaurant. Thanks guys!

Outstanding and authentic Italian food.

We always look for the positives on Hulls culinary landscape. Theres lots of places doing awesome things. Sadly this place swings and misses overall. Respectable service and people having a good evening in spite of the food and drink on offer. Please be better ! Wowerz. Visits yesterday afternoon, I've been meaning to visit for sometime but never got round to it. HOWEVER, the visit didn't disappoint, by far some of the nicest food I've eaten in a restaurant in Hull for sometime. 5 star food without doubt.

Great Food, great service, great atmosphere. 1st time visit. Quite a small restaurant (about 40 covers) so booking advisory I would suggest. We had a small plate starter plus a main course. Staff were extremely friendly and explained the options. The food is cooked in plain sight. All freshly done. Our starters arrived in good time and then in typically Mediterranean style time then just drifted. The 2 chefs were extremely busy as the restaurant was full but nobody seemed concerned and when the food did arrive it was a wow moment absolutely delicious. Definitely returning sooner rather than later

Booked here for our anniversary. Made to feel super special by Alessandra who couldn’t do enough for us. Food was incredible, especially the Bruschetta, Fried Seafood and Tiramisu. It feels like you’re on holiday! Bravo Mancia ❤️

Just had the most wonderful anniversary meal. Our first time at Mancia and it definitely won’t be our last. The atmosphere and music were perfect and the staff were very polite and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, you can tell how much passion goes into each dish. The star of the show for me were the Salsiccia e Broccolini and the arancino. Would recommend to anyone to come to this lovely restaurant. Happy Friday night vibes, Thank you!

Brilliant food, service and atmosphere as ALWAYS! We love that we can sit without pressure on time and for our food to be cooked from fresh - amazing place run by an amazing family and valued staff. Can’t get better than this.

We went expecting a lovely meal and walked out after waiting for one hour for starters! The couple on the table next to us were served well before us even though they came in after us. They were actually offered one of our starters which they declined so this was rushed back behind the counter probably to be served up to us eventually? Who knows. After waiting for so long we paid for the wine and left. This is so disappointing as we were really looking forward to a delicious meal. Instead we got nothing. It’s so very disappointing as I had a fabulous meal there last December but it has changed. Would not advise anyone goes there. Standards have dropped.

With Mamma in the kitchen it cannot go wrong we thought. And indeed, 3 plates of fantastic vegan / vegetarian food came through: Pumpkin Arancino (amazing), Salsiccia E Broccolini (to die for) and a fantastic Lasagna della Mamma. Real Sicilia food, flavorful and tasty. Accompanied by a deep Sicilian red wine. We finished with the two Cakes of the day, including Pistache Tiramisu. Almost too full, and 67 pounds lighter, we said goodbye.

Amazing food have just returned from 2 weeks in Italy and this was the perfect way to reminisce, very authentic cuisine.

The food was absolutely delicious - a great selection of very tasty small dishes, ideal for sharing. We could have happily eaten everything on the menu, so I'll definitely return to sample the dishes that I didn't have room for!

Really homely Sicilian restaurant. Very attentive service and brilliant quality food. We got four plates to share between two people which was more than enough, and a lovely variety! The chino drink paired nicely with my dinner. And the pesto aronchino ball was the best I’ve ever had!

Real hidden gem, gorgeous food and lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive and make you feel very welcome. Best Prawns I've ever tasted, highly recommend.

I took my Mum and we had a great experience! She got a free glass of prosecco on arrival because it was Mother's Day, which was so lovely! The food is incredible, very authentic and tasty. I had some of the small plates, we shared a garlic bread and also shared a pudding (the nutella doughnuts 😍) and it was all incredible! The staff are also so kind and friendly. We would definitely recommend and are looking forward to trying Mancia pizza!

Utterly delicious, authentic Italian food. Small and intimate restaurant and has all the qualities of a friendly, family orientated Italian restaurant. If you want to experience proper, quality Italian food then avoid the chain restaurants and visit Mancia.

Went for a Valentines meal, food was amazing! Service a little slow at first but staff were very apologetic and the food made up for it!

I’ve visited Mancia a few times now and every time the food and service has been amazing. Really fresh and high quality ingredients, overall a lovely place to eat and drink and chat amongst friends and family.

Family owned restaurant with passionate staff. Very good choice for every taste. Low prices. Easy parking nearby.

Small and cosy Sicilian restaurant tucked next to the railway bridge on Newland Ave. Parking available on the road nearby. It has a rustic Italian feel with metal chairs and small bistro tables. The kitchen area opens into the dining space so you can see your meal being prepared. Pizzas seemed to be a firm favourite and we had the freshly baked olive and rosemary bread with our wild rabbit Ragu both of which were very tasty. Desserts looked and sounded good but unfortunately we couldn't manage any more food. There's a good selection of drinks available too including Italian wines and limoncello. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning to sample more but booking is a must as it fills up. Online booking is easy and be mindful of how long you have the table for as others maybe waiting.

Great food and excellent service

Our first visit to this excellent and authentic restaurant. It’s a small and cosy place with really tasty Sicilian recipes. The pastas and pizzas are perfect and it nice to have some Sicilian beer and proper local sweets. We’ll definitely be going back 🇮🇹

From the second we walked in Kayleigh was amazing!! So knowledgeable about the whole business. Although very busy Kayleigh managed to get us a table & looked after us incredibly well!! I dined here with 3 friends. The staff were all very friendly, and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and would highly recommend this restaurant. They amended one of our dishes straight away after we did not realise it came with an ingredient one of us didn’t like.

I was their first breakfast customer this morning and im pretty sure i wasnt the last. Fresh produce with an italian flare. Great service too the old saying " you get what you pay for" definitely applies ...no packaged food there all freshly made and the beans were to die for. 10 out of 10 guys see you Friday evening 😊
