Got racially assaulted while asking for info on wrap also seen then spit on my food not happy

As a mother of two, I was looking forward to a convenient dinner from Mamos Liverpool. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. When I called to inquire about my order, the employee was incredibly rude and dismissive. They refused to acknowledge any errors in my order, even when I presented them with evidence from their website. As a mother of young children, I was particularly upset by the employee's behavior. It was stressful and upsetting to deal with such rudeness while trying to provide a meal for my family. I was also left feeling scared and upset by the way I was treated. The employee's excuse that they were busy is unacceptable. Being busy does not justify such rude and unprofessional behavior. This is so sad because I genuinely thought it would be a nice treat for my family today. I hope the business owners are aware of this shocking behaviour from the staff at Mamos. I don't think I can ever order from Mamos Liverpool again and I would not recommend them to anyone, especially families. This experience is tainted by the bad behaviour that nobody should need to tolerate. Very very sad!

Visited Mamos today, 24/06 (Monday) at 9:20pm and it was such a regrettable experience, leaving this review in hope this place changes, especially the staff (as I refuse to think the man who was working is the owner). As much as I understand how busy a business can be, the man who was taking the orders was also the cooker and he was not prepared for his mission, not at all. It took him ages to even acknowledge our presence and, when he did, was the most arrogant and sarcastic person I've ever seen. Extremely rude, tried to be funny and rush as to order, did not even listen to what we were saying. He attempted to make fun of one of my friends as she was struggling to pronounce one of the ingredients and he only stopped because I interrupted him. More than 30 min for the food to arrive, he forgot one of the wraps and the food was cooked in such a rush and lack of passion that the taste could tell. He continued to complain every time he had an order from a delivery wrap and it made such a hostile environment for us to eat. I don't like to leave bad reviews but this time it was hard not to. I don't recommend this place.

Really bad, dry rubbery bitter tasting chicken, think maybe the grill had cleaning agent on it. Pizza base was stale and tasted weird. Couldn't eat it.

Lovely food at this place! Our shop is down the road so our kids are sometimes with us when we visit. The lovely guy serving us gave the kids a fruit shoot each because they pushed their chairs under the table before we left. He appreciated their good manners! We've had gorgeous pizza from here and the most amazing gastro burgers. It's so reasonably priced as well, highly recommend!

Nice food. However £25 for two burgers, and a wrap alone without rice or chips in insane. Won't be ordering again which is a shame as it was one of my favorite local takeouts.

I had Piri piri chicken ordered but it is not authentic grilled chicken. Looks like boiled charred chicken 🍗 with sauce on it. Nothing special. Ok Taste

Jerk chicken was just plain chicken with a bit of supermarket sauce on top. Hot wings had no heat or any real flavour. Really disappointed.

By far one of our favourite places for takeaway in the area. The chicken I have had so far it's always very fresh, when I go for the grilled option. I normally get the grilled chicken wrap with salad, and it's super filling and very chunky. They make really nice mozzarella sticks and are always very generous with the portions. Not to mention the great customer service, the guys are always in a good mood and they're happy to help you with any quirky amendment request you can come up with.

Picked up 3 signature burger meals about 4.30pm yesterday and I drove total 10 miles all round and it was definitely worth it , the taste and presentation was perfection thankyou so much mamos

My friends and I came to this place after a football match. We were kind of tired and really hungry, wanting a big meal. They have some meal deals on their menu and some of the items are written as abbreviations. we had mistaken the abbreviation GB as Gourmet burger instead of Garlic bread and the cashier started yelling at us. We felt like this was really uncalled for. He went as far to even start swearing. We then asked if we could split the bill and he raged off and swore behind our backs. The food is good but the service was awful. Really felt unwelcome just for reading the menu wrong. Will probably never come here again.

Just ordered from Mamos and can honestly say that was the best takeaway food I have ever had.Thought it was a bit pricey when the wife ordered but it was worth every penny.Won’t be going anywhere else from now on.

Ordered from here a few times and the food is a hit and miss. Last time my partner got a chicken wrap and within a day developed food poisoning so severe that he has not been able to go to work for a week. Would not risk ordering from here again.

Food is excellent, had lovely chicken wraps tonight! Never had a bad meal from here either, always fresh! Owner always welcome 👍🏼

Ordered via Just Eat and I ordered a double cheese burger meal and I was sent a burger bun with two patties inside, no sauce or salad. I tried to have a polite conversation with the proprietor Mansoor but he didn't help. I came away from the phone call feeling worse as following the conversation, I would caution against ordering from here as I have concerns the food is not even even halal. Very disappointed.

Mamos is superb. But the image is not Mammos Rose Lane but Mammos on Bold Street.

Don't seem to know difference between rice and chips, 3 times its happened where we have asked for four strips of chicken with the rice and have been given the chips instead. Doesnt seem like it should be that difficult.

Food took an hour to arrive which seemed excessively long for a quiet night. Pizza arrived soggy and cold, fries were cold, hollow and hard. The website isn't the best in terms of telling you when the delivery is due and we ordered a burger and didnt know it come with fries so paid extra for fries which we didn't need nor want due to being cold. Donuts were bland and boring, no flavour, no cream and expensive for what they are, rather go Greg's and get 4 for £1. Burger we got was okay, little burned but eatable, chicken was a good but couldn't save the rest being aweful. Basically wouldn't order again, has a fancy menu and I wish we went out for eotho at some pub, would have been just as dissapointed for half the price.

Over the last couple of years I’ve been going here, initially it was really good. Great burgers, good quality and big portion sizes. Then it became a bit hit and miss. But the last few times it’s been really bad. Won’t be going there again and wasting my money. The only reason I went back is it’s so close to where I live. To quote my girlfriend “The chicken was the worst part about the chicken burger, the salad is ok though”. You don’t want to pay £7 for ok salad though. Both our chicken was so hard and dry, went straight in the bin, inedible. It was also missing half the topping (hash brown and coleslaw). The icing on the cake was the staff where pretty rude and we waited for ages. Won’t be wasting my money again on rubbish food. Such a shame, will have to search for somewhere else to go next time. Rant over.

Shocking customer service. Young guy behind the tills with curly short black hair was absolutely out of order - was making racist comments to the other people working there and was bragging to random customers about how much cash he had in his wallet, and how he had cleared out the ATM next door of money. No one could pay with card as their machine was broken and that prat behind the counter had taken all of the money out of the one nextdoor, and was bragging about it. Fire that kid, he makes me never want to visit this place ever again. Talk about a punchable face!

Get the red salt fries. They will change your life.

Shame the rose lane store isn’t up to the standard the bold street store is. Ordered a few pizzas from the bold street store and tasted amazing. This time round I ordered from the rose lane store and I’m very disappointed. Completely different pizza. Bold street taste great and fresh while rose lane taste like a warmed up frozen Tesco Pizza. Very much let down.

So I used the ordering system on there website and was told by it the food would be 30 minutes. After an hour I rang them and asked when my food would arrive. They said they dont deliver to my area ( they have many times before). A call to explain the situation would be nice and acceptable but rather than do this they just dismissed the order and pretended it didnt exist. Poor effort from mamos yet again I certainly wont be attempting to order from this place again.

The food: 5/5 - The service 0/5 I've been here 3 times, hoping the service would improve but it's actually gotten worse, I wish their food wasn't so damn nice. I won't describe each time, but just the last. When I ordered my food I was told it was 15 minutes, and despite having apple pay/visa accepted plastered all over the till, I was told it was cash only. Not too much of an issue as there is a cash machine next door (but beware if you want to pay on credit card). I was originally charged £5.50 extra and when I challenged it, there was some weird unwarranted resistance until they admitted they added something else which I didn't ask for. During my wait, I saw two members of staff gob on the pavement, which is not what I would like seeing people behind the kitchen doing. So, 45 minutes later, people come in and go ordering meals for 2, a feast at some point. And I'm sat there waiting still for my meal for one. I eventually plucked up the courage to ask where my food was and was told "2 mins"... Anyway, 10 minutes later my food is ready and I could finally go home to eat my food, which was really nice. tl;dr - very nice food, god awful service.

Visited last weekend and ordered over the counter, had to wait 45 minutes for a burger and chips meal, almost gave up, they seemed to have lost control of the orders. And to top it off I found a metal screw in the portion of chips. All in all a pretty terrible experience.

Ordered food for delivery and heard nothing for around 1hr after we gave them a call the man said that he'd been out for the delivery and no one answered the door.. Well that was a lie as we was at home the entire time and seen no one approach the door. He then said he was sending it out again another hour later still no food... When we went to call again, no answer either... As they had closed... Terrible service and terrible management...

Food mever came spoke to restaurant was told it was despatched. Waited another half an hour so phoned back and was told no order had been placed. As soon as i asked for a refund the man hung up.

Got a chicken burger, really big portion and size, tasty. the place seemed more upmarket than your usual chicken shop.

Used to be amazing when first opened now just more interested in getting just eat orders out than serving people over the counter. Chicken has shrunk and soaked in grease. An not sure you could call it a pizza with no tomato on the base. New this place ha gone down hill but didn’t realise it was that bad definitely won’t be going back.

Quality food and service. Nice people running it. The food is pricier than your average takeaway but is a grade above your average fast food joint. Would recommend the chicken or the piri piri fries. My favourite take away in the area.

Utter dissapointment. Dont even deserve one star. Placed my order at 7:40 called them at 9:20 to track order. Was told my order is not even ready. Stupid service.

Shocking service, granted it was not a huge order but having never used this establishment before we wanted to satisfy ourselves that we would enjoy their food for future reference and hopefully more takeaway orders, considering the order process informs you that you will be kept appraised via SMS we had no notification until the delivery chap turned up to the door too late !! TWO HOURS LATE We placed an order with another takeaway which turned up in half an hour. If they were so busy an automated text would have been acceptable, very very disappointed be prepared for a long wait

After a hard day at work. I just wanted a nice meal with the family. I ended up going mamos on rose lane on friday 24th November 2017 and we ordered chicken wrap and sweet potato fries and my wife had a chicken burger. Saturday morning i found myself severly suffering from food poisoning suspecting the chicken was off or wasnt cooked properly. Absolutely horrendous experience and ive only just recovered but the amount of agony vomiting i went through over the weekend i wouldnt wish on an enemy. My wife got away with suffering from only diarrhoea. It was me that suffered the most. Definately wont be going back and they are very lucky i dont sue them. Such a shame as i expected top food because i paid good money for it and with it being based on rose lane.. such a let down! Thanks for the food poisoning too!! I didnt even want to give that 1 star but had to so i can post this review

Eating in store is always a brilliant experience

Thought I would try this place out, what a bad move that was. Service was horrendous, owners just as bad, food tasted ok but over cooked. The next day I had food poisoning. Very poor!

For the price of this food i was atleast expecting something satisfactory, however this was not the case. Firstly the food tasted absolutely awful, the burger was very bland and was put together terribly making it almost impossible to eat. When the food arrived it had been all squashed together and was very cold. Overall way over priced and terrible quality of food, but they do have nice wings, will not order from here again better off with a macdonalds.

Worst service in Liverpool, placed order at 9 came at 11!! Cowboys haven't got a clue how to run a business it's bank holiday you should have extra staff you bunch of cowboys, phoned 4 times and kept lying and the fried chicken was worst av had, if you can't run business then sell an move on, but don't play with customers orders, to succeed in business you can't think of the money now, you have to think long term , this kind of review is not new to your selves , you can see for your self the reviews you have!!! Maybe your not bothered, you will not succeed.

I do not recommend this place what so ever.The service is bad and not to mention the workers didn't show any sort of respect . The food came 1 hour late and was the wrong order however what disgusted me the most is I found a strand of hair on my food. I think Mamos is the worst place to eat in Liverpool. It really was a horrible experience and I hope I do not have to waste my money like this ever again. I am very upset with the quality.

I've now given this place 3 goes as it's very close: the 1st was the most salty burger I've ever had - inedible, 2nd was an over cooked chicken burger, and 3rd was an awful peri peri chicken and rice (apparently salad is extra) which has left me very unwell

While a previous loyal customer of mamos, after ordering through deliveroo and being left for nearly an hour (the order was accepted) before it was cancelled, I and anyone I know will no longer be eating at this establishment anymore. After everywhere else was closed they called and told us that the deliveroo driver had not turned up; they could not offer us any solution not even a refund as they didn't know how to do it (they simply said we'd have to make a complaint with deliveroo) and rather than being polite and considerate they told us we should have ordered with them directly. When I said we were going to complain the man I was speaking to was more than happy to let us and was unbothered with his lack of service saying they were ready to close so could not do anything. Absolutely disgusting, I would not recommend this establishment based upon their customer service.

Terrible experience got a chicken burger to take out and asked for just chicken and cheese came packed full with coleslaw. Also very over priced.

I picked some food up quickly after a long day in work on Tuesday 6th June - from Bold street. Chicken wrap & slice of pizza. Within 10 mins of consuming the food I started to feel unwell. I spent the rest of the night throwing up. I have contacted management to get a refund & discuss what has happened. They sent a very professional message about investigating & would call me. I never got a call. I followed up twice & visited the venue only to be disappointed with no resolve or refund. I missed a day of work & I was very disappointed by how they followed through their customer service. I will be reporting to environmental health.

This place has fast food but charges restaurant prices. The food is ok but at the end of the day it's a burger. If you want large portions then this is the place for you.

Cannot rate this place enough! Excellent food, even better prices & the service is great. Just ordered again for the family & it was delivered in less than 25 minutes from ordering, perfectly packaged & the little ones meal even came (in its own 'special' bag 😃) with 2 puzzle books! As I said cannot praise them enough, top quality food, you will not find better & especially at this low of a price! Try it for yourself & see! Anyway have to go, time to eat now... 😀😀

Horrendous service! I live 15 minutes away at most and orders regularly take over an hour and half!! They are usually incorrect and I could highly recommend you order from a capable food place!! No discount offered and terrible service when speaking on the phone

This is the best place to order a burger hands down in Liverpool. Nandos and Five Guys rolled into one. The portion sizes are huge, tastes delicious and overall very good value for money. Food from Mamos is addictive and a great way to pile on weight if you're not careful! But who cares! 😆😛

OK, slow to deliver food, not far off KFC prices, only takes cash which is odd.....
