Mama's Pizza & Pasta in Croydon

Yesterday, I bought 2 pizzas with 4 ingredients and paid £15.49 with a debit card through paypal. Today, I received a phone call from someone at Mamas saying I had to pay an extra £4 for the ingredients. In other words, when I placed the order, they told me that the ingredients were free and now they want to charge me money for the ingredients. As I said, I didn't pay because I had already paid by Paypal. The person on the phone told me that all orders I made would be refused. If there is a problem in the system, customers are not to blame for the problem.

Food took close to 2 hours to arrive. So of course it was cold when it arrived. If I didn’t call to enquire where it was I wouldn’t have got an update. Very disappointed in the experience overall.

mate where is my order and to be honest I just want my refund back 😪 😒 😤 you could of said something 😤 I have visitors waiting for food and it didn't even come what an embarrassing moment for mee but I would like a full refund and there should be some compensation to go with it ?????

Order never arrived!! Can’t get through to the restaurant to complain!!

Says the order was delivered, but never arrived! Call the restaurant and no answer, voicemail full. Absolutely ridiculous, waited for over an hour for them to mark as delivered without delivering anything. Avoid unless you like your time wasted

Placed an order via Just Eat. They accepted the order, took my money and after an hour updated the app saying they delivered the food but did not and now I'm going through just eat to try and get a refund. Avoid these scammers.

My food never turned up and when I tried to contact the store for the last two hours, the line kept saying unviable.

potato wedges U still cannot cook them. Pizza was supposed to be original base but this was so thin you could almost see through it.

Great value but Beafy Hot One pizza was unfortunately over cooked.

Pre-ordered for 8.15pm. Order was delivered just after 4pm. Sent it back with no quibbles. Order then correctly arrived at 8.15pm but there was no bottle of Tango with the order which we paid for. The food from Mamas is really good hence the 5* for quality review. I think they were having a very off day today in terms of accuracy. Won't stop us ordering from them again.

I ordered at 4.30 the food came at nearly half 6.

There was very less topping and taste was not good

stated it was delivered time ago, I really think it was delivered somewhere else and they made me a fresh batch. The food was far to warm for food driving around for ages.

We had to wait 50 minutes but delivery was within estimated delivery window and was worth the wait! Their pizzas are hot and tasty with plenty of dipping sauce. Found the wedges a bit dry so would get a different side next time.

I loved that they were open just after 11am and we could get an early lunch delivered! Really tasty BBQ chicken pizza, garlic pizza and wedges. 10% discount and no delivery fee either! We were impressed and we shall order from them again!

I asked for it for 17:30 but it came at 16:10 not what I wanted

Ordered a thin crust extra pepperoni and cheese. What arrived was a thick crust pizza with one piece of pepperoni per slice and minimal cheese. Won’t order from here again.

Hi lovely staff , Did you guys give any free pizzas or pasta for my avenue people?????. They won’t receive free. We were good 👍. Then why you guys keep parking your own vehicles in our avenue. How many times we inform you . Don’t park your car here. If you want free car parking go and ask your BOSS. Don’t disturb us . This avenue for us not for you . the pizza was terrible, cheese was hard, cheese wasn't stringy. did not like the pizzas at all.

Pizza had lots of cheese & pepperoni! Was lovely! Garlic pizza bread was OK and same for the fries. They just needed some salt (personal preference!) great value and all delivered hot!

pasta come with no white pasta sauce. No pepsi delivered had to choose from 2 bottles sent.Still cannot cook wedges

One lady lift the call and she was rude. We asked to change pizza to veggies hot one and she didn’t even send that

Food was nice when it arrived but didn’t appreciate being told by the manager that I had cancelled my order when phoning to chase it - and being told - “come on mam” implying I was lying about not cancelling it! Seriously ?! Waited almost 2 hours for the food which was nice but delivery time and customer service were poor!

My 12 YO son said it was the best pasta he'd ever had, now while my praise may be slightly more reserved i have to say it was flavourful and filling. A good price and along with the 40% fantastic value. Its not often i get a happy pre teen.

Great food, very similar to a competitor with similar branding but with better prices!

Pizza are good but don't bother with cake they arrive frozen so you can't eat them. Cookie dough is too hot to get out the tin and the ice cream is melted. Waste of money and they don't give you a refund or discount or do anything they just laugh at you. DONT BOTHER

Never order from these people ever again , they took doubles the money out of my account and never refunded a penny , disgrace

The food was cold and an hour late

1st time order, pizza ribs and chicken, all arrived hot and earlier than expected. ribs had good meat, chicken was good, pizza well stacked with ingredients. only negative, nowhere to remove toppings only add. Will happily order again.

No garlic butter with dough balls, very upsetting.

The prices are good, I wasn’t expecting it to taste sooooo good! Came pipping hot, which was a huge bonus! I will 100% recommend and I will be back! still cannot cook wedges good thing these were free. The pasta was cold and like a house brick it was supposed to have Bolognese sauce on it but none could be found so the pasta was like a hard lump of pasta. When i order the pasta with white sauce there is plenty of sauce and the pasta is soft & moist.

food was great, arrived on time. only thing is they gave me the wrong drink and no dips...

Appreciate the service, thank you. There was some confusion over our delivery address and Mama’s team were brilliant at resolving the issue. Things do happen sometimes; the way they handled it was very polite and they went out of their way to resolve. The pizza was also fantastic! :)

The food I've had has been excellent every time, but not the service. My first ever order arrived in about 30 minutes but delivery time has been increasing since, resulting in me having to cancel tonights after 2 hours, thanks to intervention from Uber Eats.

This place deserves a good review… They never disappoint us every time we go. The pizza is always hot when collected, always tasty and most importantly the price is very reasonable!! Highly recommended to everyone.

Tasty pizzas, not burnt, soggy, etc. Good flavour, size, price, etc. Very happy with our order - will 100% order again!

Very good pizza, extremely fresh and when I asked them not to be shy with the toppings they didn't hold back. It's my regular now, service is very calm as well.

The nachos were very small and burnt NOT good.Potato wedges again a small portion and had a funny taste plus they were soggy. Pizza should have been original base but this one was even thinner than a thin base and the toppings were very bitty.

Pizza ok, only the sauces for the potato wedges were missing, sadly.

Deliver driver was very polite and friendly. Food was hot and cooked perfectly. Pizza dough was fresh, chicken wings nice kick to them. Bbq ribs are tender and juicy. Garlic pizza was better then papa John's. Will 100% order again

When ordering a large pizza make sure that they slice it for you, I had to pull it apart with my hands as I don't have a pizza slicer, my friends were not happy about this 😞.

The Banoffe cake was wet looked like there was water in the cupboard. The delivery took forever

Food was extremely late although on the app it was said that the food had been delivered. I contacted the restaurant and they told me it hadn’t been made yet as they had another order come through that was bigger than mine. If that was the case why not make the smaller order first so it’s out of the way? Once the driver finally arrived he lied and said he’s been trying to call me to explain which is untrue and when I mentioned that was untrue he walked away. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to

I expected that each slice would have have the additional toppings clearly put on each slice of pizza, missing was the charged grilled chicken. I know nothing will be done to rectify this, which is bad for customer services.

I understand that it was a busy time, and that's why the delivery was late, but the food was almost cold, and I hadn't got the potato wedges. I tried to manage it online, but I couldn't.
