I haven't been to this bakery for about 5 years it used to be one of the best in South London sadly that is no longer the case I bought 8 different pastries that were OK but my sausage roll no flavour my steak bake too salty and my bow tie overcooked thats what I got for £25 would have been better off going to greggs

I've bought sourdough bread from there, which is great. I tried their lemon and blueberry muffin once. It was quite awful and I couldn't finish it. The texture was weirdly grainy, dry and there wasn't much lemon cream to make it lemony. I would just stick to their bread. A special mention to the staff, I was served by different people, and they were all very nice and helpful every time I went there.

Service with a smile.. really friendly and helpful staff. I have had the sausage roll from this bakery as well as the lunchtime meal deal.. £7 not bad for freshly made sandwich, hot chocolate and a jam doughnut. Great location on the high street. Thanks for the NHS discount.

Pork and apple pastry as good as they say it is! A bit pricey at £3.99.

What you see is what you get. Food is not attractive but hits the spot.

Wow.. it’s a shame to call this a bakery. They need to learn how to bake! Bought 4 biscuits .. and they all crumbled and fell apart! Cheese and onion pastry tasted like shoes. Apple danish was ‘okay’

All the cakes were seriously awful :( the textures were really bad and they were tasteless. I can't think of a single good thing about them. Had to throw it all out. Save your money and avoid :(

Not friendly staff.. seemed very judgemental didn’t even look at me or say hello or anything.. I had to get attention to order and food ok but overpriced

With gorgeous flaky pastry on their hot food, such as bakes and sausage rolls, a good selection of hot and cold sandwiches and rolls and not forgetting the cinnamon swirls, doughnuts, chocolate twists or even coffees, Coughlans really is a bakery to try. Be aware that it is more expensive than its high street cousin, Greggs, but if you fancy a somewhat more luxurious experience, don't let the price put you off. - Apr 2023.

Bought a vegan sausage roll - too oily and tasteless. Couldn’t finish it :(

Very underrated and every time I have been there it's been excellent. Sometimes I totally walk past it and head to Gregg's because it's so quiet. But really this is the place to go

sausage roll was aprox 4pound! they say its jumbo but its not that large the small wouldve been tiny and soup wasnt very nice and withdelivery charge all in all 9.99 for 1 soup and sausage roll.disgraceful.greggs much tastier and much cheaper.

Ordered one of their heavenly drippy cakes for a 40th birthday (vanilla and chocolate) - absolutely delicious and looked so impressive! It's topped with Kinder and Ferrero Rocher and then i added my own cake toppers. Ordering is very quick - ordered on Wednesday for a Saturday pick up. Really pleased!

Absolutely brilliant pastries and cakes and the Yum Yums with the butterscotch coating are too die for.....

Am a new resident to the area. Visited the bakery for the first time. Bought a loaf of sourdough bread and it was really good. Service was fast. I also accidentally left my reusable water bottle on the counter. I went back looking for it a week later and they had kindly kept it for me in that period!

All their stores seem to have a good consistency in their standards of fooda & presentation

Expensive for a basic sandwich filling.

Went in here today for one of their world famous Tuna sour dough toasties as I usually do because they are absolutely scrumptious! But unfortunately the customer assistant was less then friendly and helpful today. Still enjoyed my Banging Tuna sour dough tho 😎

Local bakery chain in the Croydon area. Have a nice assortment of cakes, pastries bread. Also, they offer bespoke cakes for special occasions/events.

Delicious food. Can request made to order rolls etc. Very nice Irish Lady their.

My family member bought me a Coconut Bakewell from Coughlans Bakery 09/03/22. It was very very dry inside and had to throw it in the dustbin. We are not buying anymore. Hopefully after seeing this review they will try and improve their recipe.

Food was cold and always wrong , only 1 sausage roll and donut instead of 2 yum yum

Items are very expensive could be a daily stop for many of my family & friends but pricey..

Barely any chicken in the coronation chicken and delivered an empty bag instead of my donut. 8 quid for a dressed salad baguette

Me and my girlfriend have used this bakery for more than a year now. We absolutely love all the vegan range. Everything tastes delicious! Although I was very disappointed with the coffee drink. I decided to order a latte to further support the business, as I usually don't order coffee for delivery. I do not know if it was the oat milk or the quality of the coffee, but it didn't taste right. I'm afraid I won't be ordering drinks again. As for the food I can’t wait for the next order. The yum-yums is my favourite at the moment.

It's a great bakery! Good staff, tasty food. However, they do need to alter their menu from time to time.

£6 for a Cornish Pasty and a crusty cheese & onion roll...... Won't be paying those exhorborant prices again!!

Staff seem helpful but second time I've been there second time they've not give me everything I've ordered thieves check your orders if you go I won't be again

Only been there a few times but I'm amazed of the vegan options. Relatively well priced too. Whilst driving I would not recommend eating anything from here though as it can get quite messy. Will definitely go back to try more of the vegan range.

The 2 bacon savoury’s was so disgusting could even eat had to Chuck in the bin and the donut tasted like it was a week old absolutely vile

Shopping local for my bread is something I try and do all the time. This bakery is a local business who produces amazing bread, cakes, biscuits and more! Lots of their products are vegan too. I love their brown seeded loaf for breakfast and lunch dishes. Use it or lose it folks! See you soon guys 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Approaching the end of the year to January, many restaurants and shops will be launching vegan foods for #veganuary . I like the way Coughlans has the vegan steak bake way before Greggs which I will try later. As well as the Vegan Steak Bake, they also have the Vegan three cheese and onion pasty which I didn't get the chance the try as I was not in the area. The Vegan Steak Bake at Coughlans has sesame on it to distinguish it from the the steak bake. The price of this vegan steak bake is £2.95 which is slightly more than Greggs at £1.55 according to online media photos. Anyway, when you bite into the vegan steak bake, the pastry is just as good as any pastry in the sense that it is crisp and flaky. It took me a while to get to the centre of the bake but I was greeted with a lovely gravy loaded with mushrooms and vegan steak. The vegan steak pieces was tasty and the texture was like firm bouncy tofu that is just the right bite without being too rubbery so overall I really enjoyed this vegan steak bake. Sadly, Coughlans was closed on Sunday so I didn't try the vegan cheese and onion as well as the Vegan sausage and leek. They also have other captivating treats like Butterscotch yum yum and the iced apple lattice. Will definitely give them a try when I am next in town!

Vegan cakes and amazing customer service.

The staff are welcoming and pleasant. They have large range of vegan produce and a delicious selection. It is priced well and it's reassuring that all the popular bakes are all vegan. The bread is made fresh and you can get a loyalty for the those purchases. They also have veganised sausage rolls, pies and other classics. Other non vegan items are available and that's great too.

Quality food and knowledgeable staff

This place has great vegan option, more than I expected! I got a vegan pastry, vegan toastie, soy coffee, and vegan dessert! I love having options to chose from. Coffee could have been better but prices were reasonable and food was great!
