Mamafubu Pan Asian Bistro in Glasgow City

The restaurant is located near the fashionable argyle shopping district. I went here with my mom. We ordered spring rolls and wanton soup. The soup was delicious with a very flavorful broth. We split a ginger beef main dish. It was very good. The large portion was easily enough for both of us. I love ginger and can never have too much, so I think there could have been more in the dish. £20 dinner for two in a beautiful sit down. Really lovely. And the locals must love it too. They have a hopping take away business. It was highly recommended by the bicycle delivery man we saw out front and seven more picked up while we were there.

Found this restaurant online while visiting Glasgow for a course. The food was delicious, the service excellent (even for just a takeaway!). The restaurant itself also seemed to have a great vibe considering I was only there long enough to pick up my order.

Really great food, very generous portions, good value for money and delivered early from anticipated time.

I'd been tempted by this place before so finally got round to trying it out. Was left feeling a tad disappointed. I had made a booking for 4 through 5pm.com as they had a deal that ran till 2 o'clock. 3 of our party arrived 15 mins early but one was 10 mins late , so when it came to ordering the staff wouldn't allow the deal even although 3 out the 4 were already there before 2 o'clock, no big deal but a bit petty in my opinion. So we then ordered off another menu & that was fine. About 10 mins later the food started appearing but like 2 dishes at a time instead of all together which seemed a tad unprofessional i would say. The food was nice enough & enjoyable. So when it came to paying this confused looking waiter (who had a very basic grasp of English) came over with the card reader & what we could make out wanted us to pay cash (he had the card reader in his hand) when we told him that wasn't an option for us he said ok "contactless"? The bill came to £56 odd we said no we would put the pin in (as you normally do with transactions over £30) he seemed confused by this. Eventually we got there in the end but it was a stressful couple of minutes for no reason whatsoever. I'm not sure I'd return here but as I wrote previously our food was nice

Had a large delivery for a staff lunch. Portions of lamb and beef skewers minuscule. Three portions of chips cold and soggy. Seaweed frozen solid. I mean straight from the freezer. Salt and Chilli squid soggy and cold. We all decided not to eat that just in case. Called restaurant to explain, they didn't want to know. Said their seaweed was fresh! Yeah so fresh you have not even defrosted. I would avoid this restaurant as will all the staff.

This Review is solely based on our takeaway experience. Ordered from Deliveroo today and was genuinely surprised considering all the previous negative feedback. I had the roast duck curry which was stupendous. Maybe some fatty pieces but regardless.

This place is absolutely dreadful. Grotty wee establishment with horrible food. Power boiled dry rice. I only wanted a few gyozas but was told I could only order 10 at a time as the menu stated. Ridiculous. The staff are peculiar and seem very confused. The toilets are up several steep flights of stairs with bannisters which are hanging off the walls. Oddly their accessible toilet is up there also. Avoid at all costs. Total nonsense

we found Mamafubu by accident but were so glad we did its a lovely wee place serving great value and quality meals we opted for the lunch special 2 course £7.50 bargain and portion was large filled me up place is spotless we will be back at Mamafubu 10/10

Out shopping and fancied something hot and spicy on a cold day - popped in for some soup and followed up with 1/2 crispy duck. Really enjoyed it all, a bit rustic but quite simply great food - the duck in particular was awesome.

My colleague is due to fly out to the States next week so we thought we'd book an ITISON lunch dea lfor somewhere within the Merchant City. Unfortunately we left it too late so we decided to give Mamafubu a go - excellent choice! We opted for the 2 courses for £7.50 menu, I had chicken yakitori for starters with my colleague opting for the spring rolls, We both went for chicken curry for our main courses, sharing fried rice and salt n chilli chips. She couldn't finish her curry which is not like her, so there was nothing wrong with the portions. All of the above plus pints of soda water n lime and diet pepsi for £20.50. Excellent value which will be hard for my colleague to beat over in Vegas!!

Went in on a wet, warm Saturday, on spec. Never been before. Not busy. We were seated by the window (prob to make it LOOK busy). There were a few people in the upper level, but only us in the lower area. I order ribs to start, 3 large ribs in plenty of sauce, with appropriate hands wipes available. Wife had veg spring roll. Very nice. About six or seven grease free spring rolls and dipping sauce. All good. Main course was me: fillet of beef in black pepper sauce with boiled rice, wife, Katsu curry with boiled rice. Both dishes freshly made and of excellent quality. Wife had soda/lime, I managed 2 pints of Cobra beer. Cobra a wee bit expensive at £4.50, but hey ho. Service a wee bit slow. Ordered the 2nd pint of Cobra, and didn't look like I was getting it, but it eventually came. A bit more attentiveness required by staff. However all was good and came to just over £38.00. Would recommend and will use again.

Passed the restaurant on many occasions only this time we said let’s try lunch, we were very pleasantly surprised with both the high standard of food and the staff were delightful they couldn’t do enough for us so polite and friendly, lunch was £7.50 per head and there was ample choice and generous portions so tasty we will be back thank you keep up the good work
