Chicken Split was 10/10, chicken was so tender & juicy dumpling was so fresh crispy on the outside soft like n the inside Patties are flavourful too Plus great customer service!

Recently moved to the area and this place was recommeneded to me by a friend. I wasnt sure what to expect but when I went in the place looked really nice and homely and welcoming with delicious mouth-watering smells coming form the kitchen. it took a minute to look at the menu and decide what i wanted, ordered half a chicken, rice and peas, veg, and two dumpings, and they had special home made lemonade so I ordered two glasses. when the food arrived i was amazed at how good it looked and the size of the portion - it was a proper hearty home-cooked meal fit for a hungry, hard working man, but even more impressive was how it tasted so much better than restaraunt food, it was proper gourmet delicious. staff and service were warm and friendly and accomodating, sitting down to eat in there felt like i was eating at a friends house, and the food and drink was absolutely 100% fantastic. cant recommend it enough and I'll deffo go back there again :)

Was disappointed the brown stew chicken was almost like eating sweet and sour chicken from the Chinese. Order took so long. Waste of money heard so many good things about this business

Disappointed as I was looking forward to trying this place for the first time. We ordered a variety from the menu but felt we got “leftovers” of the goat curry in the end. We paid for the order initially and no price menu was actually provided. The lady first charged us a certain price and then quickly changed it to almost £5 more which was very suspicious, we felt we got ripped off and she made her own prices up. Lamb chops were brought out to the table when we ordered ribs. The plantain was dry and overcooked. We do not recommend this place and will not be returning. Waste of money - felt cheated.

Ribs were stale chewy sour old meat not fresh .

I haven’t been here since 2017 l, the food is still 10/10, has gotten a little pricey but what hasn’t prices have gone up everywhere, I highly recommend the steak and sweet pepper, also the salt fish fritters are to die for, thank you mama flo for a taste explosion 💥

Best Caribbean food I've had in a long time, I craved it when pregnant with my son 21 yrs ago bk then I went earls in Openshaw. Mama Flo's is on parr with Earls best I've ever had. I've are at a lot of Caribbean food it's our favorite type of food to eat. Plus service and atmosphere is on point down to earth and polite friendly happy. Is a little dearer than other places but u get what you pay for. Quality food and service worth every penny.

I heard about this place from a friend so made the trip from Bolton. Arrived a little early before opening time. Mama Flo was more than happy to let me in. The food was delicious and warm. Curried goat fell off the bone ample gravy and divine dumplings !!!! Thank you Mama Flo … it was so good I took a portion back for my mama! Who loved it btw! Try it … it doesn’t disappoint 🥰

Never been before. My son treated me to a bite to eat. All I can say is go there. What an amazing vibe. Top ladies who dance and serve 🌳 mendous food.

Curried goat was amazing, as was the jerk chicken! Mama Flo was so lovely and hilarious to chat to. Easy to park around side streets to the left of the shop.

Spot on Carribbean food, really friendly staff happy to advise, Jerk chicken is some of the best I have had, Goat curry is fantastic and the pepper steak is well worth a try Dumplings and patties are also very good. Seating is limited but a great take away.

I have been coming to mama flos ever since the day she opened but in recent times the food gone downhill and I find her incredibly rude to deal with and it’s massively overpriced now. 2 pieces of fried chicken and chips and a patty £12.50!! The chicken was so dry it must have been sat there hours and over cooked chips. This is the 3rd time in a row now it’s got worse and worse and I won’t be eating there anymore. Another overpriced poor quality takeaway in Stockport. Time to shut up shop your clearly not happy there.

I've been craving for rice peas and chicken. I drove from Mac 20 minutes at the max. the shop and great vibes . Shop was very clean and updated I ordered rice peas aeand chicken. Spot on full of flavours. It was truly a Caribbean experience and I will be back again. Pleasant to see a nice fruit bowl and sweet which were free for the kids.

Mama flo is such an amazing lady she is very friendly and has a heart ❤️ 💙 of gold. The food is absolutely delicious .

Came all the from huddersfield 230pm asked 4 a large brown stew large jerk +2small brown stew 4 dumplings 4 drinks got told sorry NO chicken left macdonalds had everything we wanted bye bye mama flo's you just lost best part of £50 quid

I stopped off here by chance when on a work trip from London picking up bikes nearby. I have to stop anytime I am passing. The whole family love the food here, I even take it all the way back down to London with me on some occasions, much appreciated!!

I’ve been 3 times over the past 4 weeks and been charged three different amounts for the same dish. Prices are not shown but should be. Food was good but todays wings were dreadful burnt and inedible, could be a fantastic spot but c’mon guys check the food before it comes out………And show the price list!!!!!!

Saw the restaurant on rate my takeaway on you tube though we would give it a try as we had just been the iFLY at the Trafford centre ! Quite easy to find via sat nav had to park up a side street be met with a very warm Caribbean welcome. I opted for jerk chicken with rice and peas my wife had curry goat with rice and peas with a couple of jerk chicken wings on the side! Fantastic meal tell instantly it was home cooked and fresh tasting good portion size. Looking forward to a return visit all very reasonably priced 10/10 👌

Always amazing, but sadly no online ordering available any more. Mama Flo's used to be on Deliveroo and Just Eat, but now only appears on Deliveroo, although you are unable to actually place orders. It always says the restaurant is closed. We have called Flo in the past and have been told to keep checking Deliveroo but it never unlocks. A friend of mine who works for Deliveroo has mentioned the restaurant will have prevented new orders in their settings. Flo, please put yourself back on the online delivery ordering services, we used to order for our whole office on a weekly basis! Our office is too far away to come and collect sadly. There is no better Caribbean takeaway in Manchester.

Jamaican sensation!!!!!!!! I have past this place several times and never went in. Recently though I saw a few video reviews of Mama Flo's and thought "I must try this out". Wishing I did a lot sooner. I chose curried goat on this occasion (see attached picture). It was really good and well worth it's price. I definitely will be coming back again. If you haven't tried mama flos then do. Flo has a passion for what she does and you can see that in the food but also her customer service, always smiling with a warm welcome to all.

Lovely welcoming cafe. We used to go to Mama Flo's when she was in Gorton. We went yesterday and the food was just as good. The Guinness punch and pineapple punch were yummy. Goat Curry and jerk chicken, generous portions and nicely presented.

Mama Flo one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!! I knew before I even tasted the food that it would be delicious because of her infectious warmth and personality as well as her clear passion for cooking and helping others in need in the community. Great, tasty, wholesome food and outstanding customer service. If I could give 6 stars I would!! I'll definitely be back and will be telling all my friends and family about the living legend that is Mama Flo!!

A warm welcome amazing jerk chicken cooked over coals. And a free dumpling to mop up the gorgeous sauce. Would of took a picture of my dinner but it was just too good.

The best chicken curry and dumplings I have ever tasted!!! Took my family down after seeing the reviews on Facebook. Its all true, the food is amazing, home cooked and delicious. Mama Flo makes you feel welcome as soon as you enter. Excellent value for money and my son rates the chips 1000/10. Will definitely be travelling to eat there again.

Ive given you 5 stars because ur a local business and I dont want to ruin ur income. But honestly the food was subpar, ive ate from here over the years but im sad to say the standard hasn’t been upheld. Fried chicken has very little batter and the batter it did have wasn’t flavoured, I had 2 pieces and it wasnt nice sadly The steak was overcooked and chewy Would be nice if u had spinners in the gravy but thats my personal pref Steamed veg was literally only cabbage :( Patty was good but not the best. Filling was stingy and pastry wasnt flaky just soggy No oxtail…again No salad option again. Slaw was ok would be nicer if it was creamier Honestly I expected better, I wish you all the best but you need to improve. I will update this review the next time I eat here.

I visited Mama Flo’s on 22nd July, having travelled with my daughter from North Wales to have her hair done in Manchester. My hairdresser told me about this place, so I decided to drive to the shop / restaurant, which is situated on the main Buxton Road in Stockport, just past the grammar school. I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right outside the entrance. The menu is varied, from curried goat, jerk chicken / chicken wings, patties with a variety of meats as well as vegetarian, oxtail, stews, plantain, dumplings and more. Mama Flo was there and her granddaughter was front of house. Both very warm, very welcoming and we chatted like friends. Needless to say, I loaded my car with a variety of the best takeaway I’d ever had. My daughter and I could not wait to get home before sampling our first few patties. I had bought enough to freeze so that we could enjoy this delightful cuisine over time, but my family had other ideas and everything was done in two days. I never had the opportunity to try the oxtail or plantain and I still hold a grudge against my husband and daughter for that. I will soon be making another round trip to Manchester and looking forward to visiting Mama Flo’s. I can safely say, it’s been love at first bite ❤️

Ordered BBQ chicken large with Rice and Peas & Sweet Pepper Steak with Rice & Peas. Absolutely awful. I got one chicken leg in a watery sauce, which was cold and very dry. No peas with the rice but Kidney beans. The steak was undercooked and cold and tough

Lord'a'mercy......this place a little hype about it recently, being the foodies we are, myself and partner visited there and could instantly see why.....lovely greeting traditional Jamaican style ( and I don't mean the rude look and "wa yu waant?")...more of a all smiles "how you doing my lovely people? It was if we'd been going there for years despite being our first visit. Speaking with Mama Flo and her team, the passion and love ❤️ for their cooking is clear to see. I chose the brown stew (one of my favourite dishes) and just like my grandma used to make...I pretty much inhaled it ha ha. My partner chose the jerk chicken, which had been cooked over hot coal and with a real kick to it. Absolutely loved it and is now my favourite Caribbean, so much so...I'm willing to take my grandad there to eat, which is a big deal (fussy old Jamaican man 🤣). Over in Manchester again and will be visiting again.

Walked in to Mama Flo's yesterday for the first time and instantly hit by the gorgeous aroma closely followed by a lovely warm welcome from Flo, who continued to entertain everybody in the queue and the diners at the tables....smiling, laughing, it had a real good feel factor! The food was absolutely amazing (every single mouthful) plentiful and at a great price. When I got home, as a added bonus, Flo had put a couple of cheeky freebies in for us to try. Can't recommend this place enough....we'll be back! Very soon, cheers Flo xx

She had one meal deal on just eat when we went in she changed the whole meal! Ordered 4 specials that came with 2 dumplings each. She only gave 4 dumplings when it should be 8 ! Chicken was not cooked properly too. Definitely will not order again from mama !

First time I've ordered, read about it and thought I would give it a go. Had the large jerk chicken with chips,it was amazing,it was so tender.and the sauce was spicy. Also got a cornflake pie,,it was more than I expected, I will definitely order from you again. Thanks Mama Flo 😁

Really disappointed with my food. I have been before and it’s been lovely, but today it was awful. I ordered curry goat and I can only assume they didn’t make it early enough. Instead of the meat being soft and the gravy being thick, the meat was chewy and all the veg was hard and undercooked. The curry was just brown water. Couldn’t eat it.
