The little restaurant is inside the amazing The Ned, the Hotel that once was a bank. The atmosphere at the entrance is unique, and the fact that there are a lot of different restaurants with different vibes but definitely coexisting with each other really makes this place something else. Food was good, great service though even if we knew we did not have that much time to eat, because the kitchen was closing soon. Price was average.

Came here as a family with teen/20s and had a lovely evening. Unfortunately our table was not initially ready however we were given drinks whilst we waited at the nearby bar. The flavors of this food are delicious. Most people know Mexican or similar but this is more refined and tasty. Ended up ordering 3 portions of nachos so good. Our group was on its own table but others are perched on high long tables. It's casual dining and the location is tucked away in a corner of the main room in the Ned. I'll try for breakfast, team lunches etc.

Booked a table for 2 people at 1.15pm on the telephone. They took my credit card as co formation of my booking. Received a confirmation email stating I had a ‘Table for 2 on Thursday, 10 August 2023 at 13:15’ When I arrived at the restaurant they said there was no table available and offered me a cramped counter top with people 2 inches away either side. Not what I booked. Beware when booking at this restaurant as they don’t honour bookings.

Great atmosphere - Fouad did a great job the whole night at being attentive and making sure we had everything we needed

Interesting to go to the Ned for the first time. We chose this restaurant out of the many available as we were taking someone from California. It was difficult to sort out the booking as we were told that we couldn't book a group of 7 so we made two separate bookings. When we got there we were seated on a long table all together so am not sure why we couldn't do this in the first place. It wouldn't have worked to sit in the booths. It is a very small restaurant tucked away at the side - the good thing about this is that it wasn't as noisy as other areas of the Ned. The seats at the long table were uncomfortable stools. The menu was fine and the food reasonably authentic. The pork taco would easily feed 4 instead of 2 but other things like the fish tacos were small portions so difficult to judge.

As a Ned Friend I thought it would be nice to take the family to Taco Tuesday and enjoy the 20% discount. Unfortunately, they decided to withhold the discount even though it was confirmed before we sat down. They said the offer could not be combined with Taco Tuesday. Infuriated further when they brought the bill up which advertised that I could have saved 20% on the meal if I joined the Ned Friends !!!!!

First of all, it is overpriced and portions are on the smaller size. But the food is vibrant and tasty and delicious and healthy. The waiting staff knows the food and are brilliant at recommendations and always spot on! Amazing venue too. Would love for more clean eating, ie no soya as that's far from healthy, and bigger portion for that chocolate cake!

Lovely breakfast and a nice place for 'me time'.  Wasn't too busy late on a Saturday morning.  Less than half full.  I walked in and got a nice table.  The bircher muesli, goji, passion fruit and coconut yoghurt was really good and filling, perfect with an iced black americano.  Well presented and freshly made.  Just slightly heavy on the fruit (too much of it, although I do like fruit).  Staff are good with dietary restrictions so just let them know if you have any.  In future however, I should check calories!  I was surprised to see I had just eaten around 900 calories in what I thought was healthy!  Good otherwise.  Clean.  Staff were pleasant and friendly.  Small 'open space' restaurant within the hotel.  I have been a few times for breakfast / brunch.  The eggs are nice too.  You don't need to be a guest to dine at the restaurant but check as there are other restaurants too on the premises.  I think some but I may be mistaken are for hotel guests only.  My main negative is when you call with regards to a reservation, the staff at reception give you different information everytime on opening times and menu options which is different from the website.  I find it really annoying.  They need to be better educated on the facilities as they do work for the hotel after all.

We had dinner at the Malibu Kitchen. Starting with my slight criticisms: - expect to seat very close to other guests (there are a few booths but mainly a large communal table). In the end it was fine for us, as we had no one on one side, and the people on the other side left before we did. But it can feel quite crowded. - be aware that there is live music in the evening in the main part of the Ned and that is pretty noisy. The positives: - beautiful art deco style setting - trendy atmosphere - the live music mellowed throughout the evening to a more chilled style. - The food is superb. We enjoyed lots of different dips (as well as quinoa and courgette flatbread) to start with, followed by a fish taco which was really delicious. - Lots of good cocktails and wine selection - Friendly and attentive service.

I came last month for breakfast and I wasn't that impressed with what I had. Ambience, setting and service wise this was excellent. Lovely bright brasserie type feel located in The Ned. I came again today and had something else which was very good. Sometimes it is worth giving a place a second try! Suggest making a booking as they can get busy. However, there were quite a few people that walked in and were seated immediately. Seating is limited. Reasonably clean. Go early or take a bit of time after your meal as the hotel is lovely to walk around. On Saturday morning, they start playing live music at around midday (classical with a jazz feel) which really added to the ambience. Loved it. The breakfast menu is limited but there is a good choice. It's a place for a healthy breakfast and not a greasy Saturday brunch! On my previous trip, I had the Malibu omelette which was not so good. This time I had the egg white omelette which was so much better. Really good and one of the best I had eaten. Took a while to come but I can see why. Worth the wait. It was really well made, piping hot and well presented. One of the best I have eaten and healthy! I had a black americano both times I came which was just right but they need to present this better like the egg white omelette as the coffee was splattered all around the cup. As I said service and ambience is really nice. I think for me to give them a 5 rating, they need to have consistency with food. There was a big difference in the Malibu omelette which was awful and the egg white omelette. Focus on presentation too as this was hit and miss. Breakfast times are 'not set in stone' which is a bit annoying. I prefer a late breakfast. It can be till 11:30 or 12:00! Check before going if you want to eat from the breakfast menu otherwise there is brunch, all day and other options after that. This is a nice place for a business breakfast meeting on a weekday or a light relaxed breakfast on a Saturday morning. They are strict and there is a one and a half hour time limit for the table but this is enough time. If you book a table in advance, they will ask for credit card details. You will get charged if you need to and don't cancel your reservation within a set time period (I believe it is 24 hours before the booking but check). Most places are doing this post-pandemic.

I recently joined The Ned club and was highly recommended to try the Malibu Kitchen. The food is brilliant. Very different from anything else I ever had. Restaurant is hidden in one corner at The Ned. Place was full and we were sitting elbow to elbow with other guests at a long table. Staff is very polite and service is very good. Highly recommended in terms of food and service. Tip: The Vegetable Rolls starter is very good but probably not worth the price tag.

Lovely interior- situated almost at the entrance of the hotel. A limited menu but lovely food. The tuna , fish taco was amazing. The coconut and the avocado with veg sticks was ok. Service was ok. Nice back ground music from a live band.

Small but varied menu, good vege and healthy options too. Nice setting in the corner of The Ned. Tuna poke bowl was very nice. Not massive portions, but just about enough. Fairly priced, not too expensive considering where you are.
