! Raw chicken! Definitely would avoid, family got raw chicken in there burger i ordered for them, Ordered food from mak halal hall green to take home today, as I was fasting and had around 20 minutes before my fast opened so went home, got home and a family member was eating there burger the burger was tough so I told them to showed it to me and i noticed it was raw, phoned them up and told then its raw at 1st they didn't believe me and told me everything is made my a machine and definitely not raw..., if anything it might just be a blood vain in the chicken that make it looks like it might be raw... after telling them, i can see water coming out it and and can see the pink in it, any1 who has ever had a chicken burger in there life knows it be's white from inside not pink... and was told to bring the burger back in store and then after that they will replace it for me , bearing in mind I just opened my fast and wanted me to come back to the shop which is like 20 minutes from where I live, I told them to get some1 to drop off a replacement and I'll give your driver the raw, was told we don't have drives to drop of food , even though you can order food of there wedsite so the guy on the phone insisted I come in to get a replacement burger and bring in the original one with me ... if they sent out a replacement I would have forgotten all about it and not left a review but as they made a raw burger and it was there fualt as I never made the food but they wanted me to drive back to get food that my family got put off on as it was raw, please let me know if they think this burger is raw in the picture, will definitely notbe going there again

Walked in with a dull atmosphere, customer service were not great. Ordered pizza which was also very mediocre, lacking in toppings and low quality cheap ingredients. Not rushing back anytime soon

Been coming here for years. Food is still good Great variety of burgers too. Donner isn't the same standard. Nor the pizza, still decent though.

If you are looking for "fast food" in terms of pizza and burgers. Expect to wait at least 15 - 20 minutes for a singel cheeseburger to be made during off peak times. It's beyond my imagination how this resturant operates selling fast food. Fries goes soggy and cold pretty quickly low quality fries. Very bad.

I recently visited Mak Halal, and I must say, it was an excellent experience! The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes that cater to all tastes, and everything is halal, which is a huge plus. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, and the service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy, making it a perfect spot for a meal with family or friends. Assalamu alaikum A year ago: I usually have deliveries from here on Deliveroo and their food and service is great. Sadly though, the last few times of trying to order from here, I haven't been able to as it says it's closed and opens at 00:00. Have you changed your opening times? Update: it was great to have you back on Deliveroo; I felt very happy when I first saw you back on there. However, although I am still somewhat relieved you are back on there; the excitement has died down a bit as the last 3 occasions I have ordered from you, the only times I have ordered from you on your return to Deliveroo, there has been an incorrect item in the order each time.. the first twice I was sent a can of Ice Strawberry drink instead of a can of Rubicon mango, and the third occasion I was sent a tuna panini instead of a tub of healthy tuna salad, one of the drinks and the salad which I was refunded for. I also need to mention, as it was something i didn't mention to Deliveroo, that I noticed the cling film covering the lid of my frappe had been tampered with on arrival, near to the hole where the straw goes, and in an attempt to cover it back up, it was a thinner piece of cling film in that one spot than the rest of it, and there was a dent in the lid, whether this was done at your shop or by the Deliveroo driver I am unsure, but I thought I should mention it anyway.. I did, however, decide to put my trust in the Creator and drink the frappe anyway and risk it, to save it from going to waste. Other than these things mentioned I would recommend your service, and I would definitely prefer it over McDonalds, as your company is more compassionate. I have altered the stars according to this latest review. However, I just thought, the atmosphere doesn't apply to me as it is delivery and that would apply if I went to your actual restaurant/cafe

I went to this place last night.The food was so eye-catching, healing and pain-busting. Last night I was a bit ill with a little cold, but I was surprised by how he undertood me the doctor (Qasim) was who advised me to eat this tonight so that the fever would go away. I ordered a fever breaker plus tasty chichecn pizza. I feel so much better than last night "Thank god" but (Qasim) He's bigger than a waiter, check him out! 😂 it is highly doubtful. He's a skillful and a great expert👏

Assalamualaikum, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent visit to your Hall Green branch. As a regular customer of Mak Halal, I have always appreciated the quality of food and service your brand stands for. However, my experience on 01/01/2025 fell far below the standards I have come to expect. Upon arrival, I noticed that the staff member present was busy preparing a delivery order. Once this was completed, instead of addressing me as the waiting customer, he engaged in a conversation with a neighboring shop owner, seemingly about unrelated matters. Despite my patience, when another customer (of what appeared to be the same ethnicity as the staff member) entered, I was once again overlooked. I eventually had to ask if he was willing to take my order, and only then did he do so. Furthermore, when my order was served—a £10.99 double smash burger—it was handed to me on a tray without any wrapping or proper food presentation. To my dismay, I observed other customers being served their burgers neatly wrapped. When I raised this concern with the manager, his response was dismissive, stating that “some burgers may come without wrapping.” While this may be acceptable in certain cases, the lack of proper presentation and care left me dissatisfied, especially given the premium price I paid. This experience has deeply disappointed me. It not only felt unprofessional but also gave the impression of preferential treatment based on ethnicity, which is completely unacceptable. I respectfully urge you to: 1. Train your staff on proper customer service, ensuring all customers are treated equally and with respect. 2. Standardize food presentation to maintain consistency across all branches. 3. Reinforce the importance of preserving Mak Halal’s brand reputation by promoting fairness and professionalism. Mak Halal holds a special place in the community as a trusted halal alternative, but instances like this can tarnish the brand’s image. Hmmm. They advertise products as buy one get one free on delivery apps however, they double the base price on the app so you are actually just paying the regular price for both items. This surely should be illegal

Review for M.K.H Halal Birmingham I ordered food online from M.K.H Halal, mistakenly selecting their Birmingham branch instead of Manchester. Upon realizing the error, I immediately contacted the manager in Manchester. He kindly coordinated with the Birmingham manager, and the order was canceled right away. However, despite their assurance, I have been waiting for a refund for over two weeks. After numerous messages and follow-ups, I was informed today that they would not return my money because the food was "prepared." This claim is absurd, as I canceled within minutes, and considering the food quality they serve, it’s hard to believe any genuine preparation took place. The food I received previously was awful—clearly frozen and barely edible, resembling foam pieces rather than proper food. I regret ever ordering from this place, and their customer service has been equally appalling. M.K.H Halal seriously needs to improve both their food quality and their customer service policies. Ignoring customer concerns and refusing legitimate refunds is unacceptable. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for them to address these issues. Would not recommend!

I was at a restaurant today, and it was my first time ordering from MAK Halal. I ordered a Chicken Rice Box and asked if they had Pepsi Max. The staff didn’t reply, just told me to pay. I paid and waited. When my food was ready, they handed it over and asked what drink I wanted. I said Pepsi Max again, but they gave me Ice Cola. I didn’t check there, just took it and went home. When I checked later, I found it was Ice Cola. If you don’t have Pepsi Max, don’t offer other drinks when I’ve asked for Pepsi Max multiple times. They could have simply said they didn’t have it instead of giving me something else. Initially, they gave me a receipt for collection with no details about the food or drinks. When they handed over the food, they gave another receipt that mentioned Ice Cola. No matter what, they shouldn’t do this to customers—forcing a drink of their choice. They should just say they don’t have it. The food was good and delicious, but the problem was with the drink. Please don’t change drinks like this.

Staff are extremely rude and incompetent. Would never order from this chain again. Can’t even complete a simple order. Always missing items and considering how much you pay for a simple burger meal, it just isn’t worth it. If I could give minus stars I would. Management need to sort their staff out, because they’re loosing loyal customers.

Good overall. There is a massive variety of food items. We went with an Inferno burger, another one of the special burgers, some loaded fries and drinks. The burgers tasted nice, well seasoned, nice sauces. Loaded fries had all the toppings and sauces and was lovely. Nice drinks selection too. Only downside is that it's slightly pricey for what it is, the portions aren't massive either. Our two meals came to around 30quid.

This is such an amazing place to visit. Food, staff and everything is perfect. I would like to share my experience about their Parmesan Hot Shot. That was superb.

Honestly I truly believe these reviews are either paid reviews or very old! Ordered on 21st around 8pm, we ordered a Double mak meal, Flaming chicken fillet meal, Flaming wings & Fries con pollo. The food was not to human satisfaction, the only edible item was the double mak. The fries were stale and looked as if they have been heated on numerous occasions, the chicken fillet within the burger was dry and very difficult to chew with literally 0 flavour, the fries con pollo again old stale chips and chicken used drizzled with a lot of sauce to cover up their sins! The flaming wings were undercooked and pink inside! Honestly this place has gone down hill, called manager as the food was literally untouched, Manager Zebby was understanding however was unable to help in issuing refund… we spent over £30 and were very disappointed with the food and service!

Came from Doncaster once and was in the area so came and tried out! Know it’s a favourite that we came back ☺️ better than Mc Donald’s!

Ordered 2 meals and they missed one out. called to get it back and got fed some bullshit about uber process when they double their prices for the buy 1 get 1 free and still dont give it. Delivered over 100 times from here not taken into consideration i guess paid £18 for a single zinger burger and small milkshake never again.

The food was awful, bland and tasteless. I came here with a friend who ordered the chicken sizzler pizza and I ordered the mega mix meal. Both food items were bland. No flavour. My burger in fact hardly had any sauce in it, just a little squirt as an afterthought on the bottom, which confusingly was also bland. We’ve been eating at Mak halal for a good number of years and their branches across Birmingham have had a steady decline in food taste and quality over that period of time but this was a shocking new low. Will never eat here again. Basically spent ten quid for half decent fries and a nice mango drink.

I ordered from Mak Halal the other night, ive been sick since, me and my partner both badly unwell after eating the food and will not be ordering again.

Mak Halal has been one of my favourite spots when it opened on Muntz Street Small Heath with the french morrocans, but since then no disrespect to the brand or business it's not the same any more after opening franchises. The quality of food is just nowhere near the original. I get it it's a takeaway/dine and majority of the food is processed, it's not the same anymore especially for the price. Wish you guys the best of luck and hopefully if things do change will try again in the future but it's the end of road for us 👊🏼
