Maison Vie in Camden

We came here for a casual breakfast. We could have stayed here the entire weekend. Lovely ladies super friendly and accommodating with us. The food was completely out of this world. We even asked for something that wasn’t in the menu, they give it a try and it was also fantastic. It was my birthday so my wife asked them to bring a cupcake with a candle. One of them went out of the store to the next shop to buy candles!!!! And the cupcake was incredible withs other sweet complements. Honestly best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. We will 100% come back here when we are in London. GIVE THEM A RAISE!

I always wanted to visit this place as I found the ambience attractive. I tried to order a ham, cheese and scrambled eggs croissant but the guy behind the counter said they dont mix and match even though they had similar things on the menu. Fair enough I said and I ordered the Croque madam. They charge 12.50 for Croque madam which was a ham and cheese, barely warm sandwich, covered with a pre-made white sause (similar to the one Tesco sells) and an overcooked fried egg on top. I am sure they justify the high price with the 3 types of salad they had on the same plate but that Croque madam was disappointing to say the least. No one bothered to ask me how it was, and every time I needed water or napkins I had to go to the counter even though they only had 2 tables.

was initially attracted by the pretty exterior. When I looked at the menu I thought it was seeemed overpriced but I was hungry and assumed at that price it would be good. Paying nearly £8 for a croque monsieur, I had to ask when it was coming out as waited a while, and when it came it was a tiny portiOn. It was literally half of a croque with a salad to cover the rest of empty space on plate. Also none of the inside was melted, which is the main point of the croque. I was going to leave feedback but the waiter swiftly took my food away without even asking me how it was. If you’re going to serve bog standard food, and only half portions!! At least make sure it tastes good. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

staff keeps changing every week, flies everywhere and place/staff seemed pretty unorganised. I ordered my coffee and red velvet cake from a guy behind the till who seemed like the manager as he kept going back to his laptop.. then got my coffee and had to ask for the cake quite a while later when I then saw him blaming his staff for his mistake in an extremely unprofessional way... had my cake eventually and was tasty however I can get great coffee and cake in other places where this doesn't happen .. not again for me..

Wow the sourdough that came just baked was beautiful. We devoured the whole loaf between the two of us after taking it home. Deciding to pop in for lunch after such a great experience we found that the place was not particularly clean. Tables were cleared but never wiped which seemed especially strange during current times. Apart from the risks talked about in the news, tables were covered with crumbs etc from previous customers. It was also not possible to sit outside as there was some light rain and the canopy was completely ripped. We each had sandwiches which were quite expensive and not the biggest, the Croque Monsieur was especially disappointing with a lack of melting goodness. Great bread to take away but eating in did not live up to those standards.

I came to Maison Vie for the first time in February, I visited it later even after what happened to me. The staff is really nice and helpful but I noticed that sometimes their manager comes over and he makes the whole atmosphere so stressful and not nice to be in. I saw him come up to a person and ask to change the table he was sitting at, even though he was having coffee and food, just because other customers didn’t want to sit at another table, which was just rude and unprofessional. I was with my mother so when we saw the whole situation, we decided to leave and give them the table. The person who manages a place often can show what they really value in their business and in Maison Vie it’s just money, not customers. I am lucky I don’t have to work with this guy but I feel really sorry for the hard working staff.

Located on main road with good approach. The ventilation is nice, environment friendly & seating is okay. Enjoyed a healthy Vegan Salad with hot Pumpkin Soup & beetroot juice . The service was fast & wonderful .

Stale food, very dirty place and unnecessarily rude short man at the till who could not have been more rude if he tried! Very overpriced too. Nearly 6.00 for bread and cheese sandwich. Avoid!!

I loved this place! Very friendly staff there helped me choosing my salad. We also had a delicious vegan falafel and gluten-free dessert. The “fresh” juice is literally fresh and the atmosphere is so great. I highly recommend this place.

I think Maison Vie is the nicest cafe / patisserie on the drab and noisy Kilburn High Road - but than there is not much niceness in this bit of London. Good coffee, nice sandwiches and salads, a good choice of croissants and (overpriced) cakes, service is friendly but a bit amateurish (and a bit chaotic at times) and the place can get very busy at weekends and mealtimes - also because the layout is not very functional with cakes on one side, the main serving area on the other, crammed tables and empty space.
