Main Ridge in Boston

Shocking food. I paid £14.50 for spicy beef chicken mix and egg fried rice and chips. I got home 2 minutes later and found hardly any chicken or beef and mostly onions and veg. The food was tasteless and luk warm. And they didn't even give a free bag of prawn crackers like they use to.. definitely won't go there again.

This spot was outstanding. Came in with my family and the service was fantastic and relatively quick. Food was delicious as usual. Definitely recommend it

Amazing chinese , best in the area , fast and amazing service! The young girl serving me was super polite and kind , never had better service anywhere else. The food was delicious 100% going back wouldn’t go anywhere else after this experience!! Do try!

New Years eve and we got caught out looking for food. We didn't prise ourselves away from afternoon drinks in time to make last orders at the chip shop, needing to resort to a Chinese takeaway. How disappointing! Yes it was steady in terms of customers but not overly busy. Irrespective as we ordered three special Chinese curries which as we know is made in advance. In short, the curry lacked flavour except a light hint of white pepper and substance. On the subject of substance, the chicken did not resemble the texture of chicken that we are used to. The curry sauce was very thin and flavourless except the taste of water that shone through. Perhaps the chef made the cardinal sin of reducing an existing base/ stock with copious amount of water to make it go further, hence losing any body the dish may possibly have had to start with. Worse than ever, the obligatory peas didn't feature! We all buy takeaways for convenience, perhaps because it was New Years Eve this was capitalised on this occasion and quantity given priority over quality. We reflect on the taste and texture of Chinese curries we as novices have made at home using the ready made paste purchased from Chinese supermarkets, spice shops. Far superior to the creation we suffered on this occasion. Ironically, we may even use the same paste! The chips were average and the fried rice acceptable. As a separate issue we didn't recognise the staff who were young and impersonal. I also note the limited reviews on Trip Advisor!

Always a warm welcome at Main Ridge. As usual, our takeaway was as it always is. Picked up food for 6 just the other night and nothing is ever missing from our order. They often throw in an extra bag or something with a free bottle of pop. Food is always well cooked, hot and the containers are always full.

Terrible take away. Purchased 6 spare ribs late at night only 1 customer. At home i bit into 1 and spat out a strand of hair. About 2 inches long and embedded into batter. Enviromental health visited takeaway next day. Found 2 staff with matching hair, no hats or hairnets.Not the first time reported. I visited unsuccessfully to resolve issue. 4 women came out of kitchen, 3 had long hair and all had no hair covering. Management believe accidents happen, yet no actions taken to prevent issues from happening again. Even though previous reports had been made.
