This is my local and since I moved into this area, mai thai has been one of the reaturant to go to. Food is good, service is good and so is the atmosphere. I am a regular at this place, and highly recommend it.

This place is phenomenal! We normally get a takeaway but decided to eat in last Friday. The food is top quality authentic Thai, food is fresh, fragrant and flavoursome as Thai food should be. Highly recommended the green chicken curry and Tamarind Duck. I can’t wait to go again

What a lovely little gem of a restaurant. Food was very flavoursome and expertly cooked. Very friendly service and great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend enough.

My sons told me about this gem of a Thai restaurant, and we always use it when I visit them. The food is really fresh, good value and flavoursome. My go-to dish at the moment is Tamarind duck, and coconut rice, washed down with a pot of jasmine tea. The service is great, and we don't usually have to wait long for our food. Melissa served us last week, and was very good, as is usual for her. Definitely the place to go if you fancy a succulent Thai meal, in the Cheshunt area.

These guys have really upped their game. We ate in. Service perfect Food.... Chicken gyozu 10/10 Tempura veg 10/10 Korean double fried spice chicken 11/10 All of the dishes were superb Highly recommended

An absolute gem hidden in plain sight. We've been passing this place daily for years, went in once and it has instantly become our favourite Thai restaurant. Small but perfectly formed place, always pleasant staff, very reasonable prices and delicious food. What more can one ask for?

This little gem is on my doorstep, I’m so pleased that I finally tried them! I ordered over the phone with a very polite, friendly young lady for me to make a collection. I had a dog with me upon collection, the young lady at the till had no issue with popping my food bag out to me at the door, she was very helpful and even seemed very happy to see my dog too. (Bonus) I digress, once I was back home and settled with said order in front of me, all looking tasty. I tucked in and couldn’t stop, their food is yummy (and not greasy either!) one very satisfied customer that recommends Mai Thai Kitchen and will return. Great job guys, keep up these standards. A +

Excellent newish place food is lovely. Good amount of food even as a takeaway. Lunch time deals. Only down side parking can be a pain as few spaces and only 1hr waiting if you do find a spot in the day. Other than that would recommend for those whom like a decent Thai

Good food but worth waiting for half an hour for the take away

Pleasantly surprised, my daughter ordered a take away from here, the food was amazing, flavoursome and authentic, so much so I had to make an order for myself. Food was prepared within a reasonable timeframe and was really good.

Went for lunch and the two course deal is amazing value. We had satay chicken, prawn toast, massaman curry and green curry. Everything had great flavour. It's a very clean restaurant with lovely staff who were so kind about my little girl. I wish it were my local. This place deserves the best of success.

Booked Mai Thai for my husband's birthday lunch. Management was fab. We had the venue privately hired for 3 hours. My table-setting request was honoured and we were able to sit together at a long table. The food was delicious as always. Even though we pre-ordered my family was able to order extra dishes that came out very quickly. Service was super attentive and fast. We are very lucky to have such and establishment in Cheshunt. Thank you Mai Thai for hosting my family 🙏🏽

Ordered on the website, went to pick up in Allocated time slot and they had no clue about my order. Husband called me whilst i was in the car looking after our newborn and they finally located it. They only began preparing the food once I arrived and my husband had to wait and wasn't offered a seat. Unprofessional and rude. My husband asked where the prawn crackers were in the bag as they are usually complimentary but she abruptly said we hadn't ordered them. He asked if they could be complimentary considering the time he had to wait and she said no. To which he Informed her it wasn't our fault, and she responded that it wasn't her fault. A customer has placed an order on your website and YOU haven't spotted it and YOU have not made the food in the Allocated time and made us wait , but its not your fault? This is how you lose customers

Just eaten out with a group of friends this evening and felt I needed to leave a Google review instantly. Beautiful food, lovely staff and a great vibe to the place. The tofu was cooked perfectly and I’m usually quite fussy. I can’t wait to come back!

Always a good meal and it was great to catch up with an old friend on a very cold night. The only thing that held me back from all 5 stars was the fact it was so quiet in the restaurant but I'm assuming that was due to the snow as the deliveries were going out constantly.

The food is great. The tamarind duck was perfectly cooked and not too sweet. The coconut rice was delicious and the beef massaman was anogher great choice. Unfortunately there was only one waitress so she was a little overworked but still gave great service. We'll definitely be visiting Mai Thai again.

Visited multiple times and it just does not let you down. Taste really authentic, especially green curry. On top of that, very well priced. My fav in Cheshunt!

I was there 2 weeks ago and I enjoyed eating there. Food was great.

I used to live in Thailand, so my expectations may be higher than others. There is more to Thai food than Pad Thai.... The staff were friendly, I could rate them 5 stars. The resteraunt was not that busy, given it was Friday night. The food flavours were representative of Thai food, but far from authentic and not as strong as I would have hoped. Also, the chilli rating which indicates the spice level is not present in the food, nothing was remotely spicy (and I usually sweat at the first sign of spice). Even the hot sauce I received on request was just a tangy sauce, not at all Thai. This was a shame as the menu has Thai names for the food, so I had high expectations. I have had far more authentic Thai food in North London. Also, the meat was a bit sparse, with more onions and veg than meat in the stir fry dishes. The decor looks rather Asian, I liked the place mats. Plus they have Chang beer, which is difficult to find in UK supermarkets. You can visit here for a nice meal I guess, but do not walk away believing the food is authentic. I would likely not return, on this basis.

Excellent reviews ... but poor food. We were looking forward to our takeaway based on all the reviews. The dumplings were stodgy.The pad thai had little chicken, no peanuts and was the wore we'd ever had The The Pad Priew was disappointing. Sadly, we won't be ordering again.

An absolute disappointment !!! We normally have the Hoddesdon one new name but is shut on a Tuesday. We had the prawn and red tai curry. It had hardly any meat and the sauce was so watery it was falling off the plate to the table

Excellent and authentic Thai food. It is easily as good as the best food we enjoyed during a trip to Thailand. Beautifully decorated interior and friendly service. Also, prices are reasonable. For example, the delicious vegetarian Pad Thai costs £6.50. Almost every dish has a vegetarian option and each dish is complemented by an artistically crafted edible flower sculpture, for example carved out of a carrot. A must visit for anyone visiting Cheshunt and interested in Asian cuisine.

We’ve used Mai Thai for a few take aways and the food has always been wonderful. Decided to eat in last night and it didn’t disappoint, the food was amazing, even better than the take away! If you haven’t, you need to try this place. Superb

Midweek meal with my wife. The small but cosy seating arrangement and friendly front of house member of staff (Mary) set the scene. The food was INCREDIBLY tasty and plentiful. We had wine and the price was very reasonable. We'll go again.

Always greeted with friendly staff. Food is really good, full of flavour and not over priced like other Thai restaurants. They are very accommodating to dietary needs and special requests. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant if you like Thai cuisine.

Very pleased to have this restaurant in my local area. First time here and can say the food was delicious and authentic. We had prawn green curry, pad Thai, pad Talay prik pao (seafood stir fry) and jasmine rice. Could eat it all over again. No alcohol served at the moment but allow customers to bring their own whilst they wait for the license to serve alcohol (corkage fee applies).
