I’ve been coming to this place for a while now, and the food has always been consistently excellent. The staff are always welcoming, greeting you with warm smiles—especially Meet, whose beautiful smile makes every visit even more enjoyable.

I travelled from Birmingham and the food did not disappoint, it was on point full of flavours, I had a tawa for 2 and we couldn't finish it.. food is awesome here.. highly recommended

If i could give 0 star to this place i would defo do that. Placed order , went to collect after 35 mins and was told they never received my order. Clueless staff. Absolute disgrace.

I found my visit appalling, I ordered lamb karahi, naan and lamb tikka. Lamb tikka was raw. I gave it back to the staff and I said it's all raw and I want it taken off the bill as we didn't eat it. The staff member took the food back and added it back on the bill. After asking why she added the £8 on the bill, she replied her manager Ghafoor asked her to add it to the bill as we gave them 2 or 3 pieces back infact I gave the whole plate back so they lied. I asked if I could speak to the manager as it's not about the money it's about the principle, she said the manager has left. Horrible customer service, they don't care about customers but only money. Will never go back or recommend anyone else to either. I need a reply back from you with your details so I can contact you. You can not treat customers like this.

Had a pleasant experience at Maher's. Food was lovely, above all great customer service provided. The person who served us was 'Meet'. She was polite, friendly and very efficient in her role. She's an asset to the business.

If you want to eat in a city centre restaurant, be my guest. I come to Maher's, Normanton Road. You will not find better Chicken Tikka Kebabs anywhere in Derby. Excellent.

I don’t usually put on reviews but this one I thought I had to share it. This was one of the place we’re food was really good and staff was even better. Its like a proper meal + good service = highly recommended.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have to mention the staffs as they deserve being mentioned 👏⭐️NIRMAL and SARA⭐️👏both of them talked us through the food. Gave us the best options and we explored there best dishes and it was worth it and the staff always checked on us and took good care of us until we left the restaurant. CHICKEN KARAHI is a must try⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really wished that i had taken some pictures of the food. But no worries, definitely visiting the restaurant again.

Ordered charsi chicken karahi, delivery was spot on. Karahi tasted nice, reason for 4 star is that it needed bit more salt and I called to ask for it to be made hot but it was mild otherwise I would have given 5. P.s. i'm not sure if if you have resumed your breakfast menu or not but please do it as your breakfast cholay were the best I tasted in Derby.

Terrible on every level. Food cold. Delivered late. Marked as delivered 30 minutes before we received it!?! Chips soggy & cold. Tiny portion of salad. Overall small portions. Lamb tasted off and not like lamb at all. Called the store and said 5 mins but took extra 20 minutes. Won't be ordering again!

We had the Tawa for 2 upgraded with lamb korahi 1/2 kilo. The food was amazing and i was stuffed after.

Food was hot. Though texture hard and rubbery. Absence of cheesecake resulted in disappointing kinder bueno milkshake . Sadly at best not what I would consider to be a reasonably standard meal. Delivery guy was friendly and polite .

Order was delivered 20min late. Food was very poor. We last ate from Mahers a couple of months back and the food was great. Sad to see that the quality of the biriyani has dropped down massively. Its very poor probably the worse biriyani we ever had.

Don’t order from here. Apparently mild means spicy when you order butter chicken and it’s not refund worthy, despite the meal having to go in the bin and it being inedible.

Freshly cooked authentic Pakistani cuisine, reasonably priced too, free parking which is very helpful.

The staff was lovely but this very long piece of hair was in the food. It was right in the middle of the container with bits of biryani in it.

Seriously owner hire some professional people and pay them real pay so they can work smart. For one person order almost an hour. Busy place early Sunday and only one person at reception, i could see faces for everyone they made mistake by ordering..... About food i heard alot its just basic, pratah's were half cooked, it happens when you got less staff and they want to get rid of customers...very dispatched

The chicken and lamb was really hard, over cooked. That was the first thing I tried and after that I got put off from the rest (mixed grill). Usually the food is edible from here otherwise the review would have lost another star.

I ordered food tandoori roti and bhindi balti as soon as I opened the bag rotis were too heard to be chewed up and then there was small pebbles in the rotis when I called them they be like our tandoor is just like that and we can’t do anything A real bad experience.

Popped in for an authentic curry. Chose the 1/2 kg Charsi Lamb. As it cooked from fresh, it took about 25 mins. Full marks out of 10 for taste. Proper succulent lamb in a rich charsi sauce. Service was lovely. Very friendly staff, attentive and caring. It was the early afternoon, so was quiet. But nice and clean place. Overall would highly recommend it for those who love their food and want a proper deshi curry.

I had stopped visiting this restaurant a while ago despite the good food due to poor service. However, after a long time, I decided to give it another try, and I was genuinely amazed by the service provided by Shamrose. She was incredibly kind and friendly, making our experience truly wonderful. The food was, as always, really good, but the excellent service this time definitely added to the overall enjoyment. A special thanks to Shamrose for turning things around and making it a memorable visit!

Whenever I order from this place on uber eat, the food arrives over an hour later sometimes of the given estimate delivery time, they have never answered any calls whenever I called them, the food isn't bad once it arrives, but the service is absolutely awful.

I am waiting for the order for more than an hour and still no sign of the delivery man. Got to reach the restaurant after calling 6 times and a msg. The call was not very helpful. Only update I got from the call was “he is on his way, I don’t know what is happening but he will be there!” Very disappointed. Very very disappointed with the service.

What can I say brilliant service overall, the lady that served us was very friendly polite and welcoming who had great customer service skills, the food was freshly cooked and tasty. The lady chef who cooked everything really does deserve a pat on the back.Me and my husband can’t fault anything keep up the good work. We would recommend family & friends to visit. Been coming to this place for a long time but the service and food was a huge let down this time. Regular staff Meet and Nidhi were not there, so we were dealing with new staff who don’t even understand what customer service is. We placed the order saying no naan only roti. They bought food with naan, they said sorry chef forgot about roti. We asked that the lamb curry is the same as the one on there tawa but they came with a different one, they said sorry chef forgot. We returned the curry and naan just had the tawa. The family sitting next to us was complaining as well saying you gave us the wrong curry they said sorry to them the chef forgot. We will not be returning to this place again. As for the Chef ( short term memory lost patient ) I think they need to replace him.

Excellent experience, food and service was spot on especially Meet and Nidhi were very helpful, these guys need bigger place though, we went on Sunday and end up waiting half an hour before we got a table and than had to wait for the food, overall good experience will be happily visiting again 😋, keep up the good work team👌

Plenty of parking, private shared carpark just go in and add number plate on screen at till, service was quite slow, had to keep asking for things, food wasn’t too bad, lamb chops were a little tough, ordered separate off menu as I didn’t want the thali, spent £60 want too bad overall ok, but wouldn’t go again
