Costa in Derby

Lovely large Costa with big windows to people watch. Food and service great. Debbie is a real asset to your business and is polite and friendly!! However a supervisor/ manager "Emma" is doing you no favours at all as an organization. Her whole being radiates anger and boredom and she is only borderline civil to both her staff and customers. Having a breakfast in here I had to listen to her slapping paperwork around, huffing and puffing, and generally talking to Debbie like she was less than human. It's blatantly obvious she doesn't want the job , culminating in her telling a member of the public that she had a great break ( presumed holiday) but now she was "back in hell" Go and work elsewhere Emma if you're not fond of your job.

First visit to this Costa and did not fail to impress me. Keeley served with a smile and explained about the app which I downloaded and a bean was added. The teacake, raspberry and almond bake and the caramel latte were perfect. Well done to all the team today!

Why do these people think that they can serve you stale food and just because you go through dive thur that u won’t go back well I did and got a refund will not go their again

The coffee is good, but the parking fines are the reason for the stars and why I won’t be going back

As always Costa delivers great coffee and great food....however the attitude of the manager in the shop is awful....she was banging cups and pots around purposely to get people out... She was complaining about customers.....and talking about her ex to the staff member....also texting every 2 minutes on the front of the desk... How she is a manager is beyond me...I won't return until she goes.

Honestly ones of the best Costa shops I’ve been in. Been multiple times now during lunch and the staff are all just lovely. Always happy to help you out, will bring the coffee to you if they have time. It’s a hello, how’re you, and a good bye everytime. Really is too service 🙌🏼

Nice hot delicious drinks ,1 hot chocolate 1 skinny latte. Busy ,but served quickly. Clean tables and friendly staff .

The food was cold and the breakfast wrap we had got had tasted different from the other costas I've went too. The service was terrible I had to ask for tissues and spoons separately and the lady I asked was so ARROGANT she told me to say please like if I wasn't educated well by my parents to be polite not professional at all. She shouted over to her friends and moaned about her work and how she wasn't being payed enough then the drink I had got the blueberry frappe was absolute disgusting I normally love blueberries and blueberry flavoured drinks but this one was absolutely horrid the bubble inside of the bubble tea frappe felt like they were made with plastic and tasted horrendous. Honestly will never come here again my first and last time at this Costa coffee! 😠 😡

Hi, Costa Coffee server here to respond to [ZEFFIRO GAMERS’] 1 star review. I always serve with a smile and in a pleasant manner because I love my job and providing excellent customer service. You ordered your items without saying please or thank you, treating us as though we were beneath you - manners go a long way. I definitely put napkins and a spoon (for your latte) on your tray. The reason I didn’t give you a spoon for your frappe is because as a Costa Coffee standard, we serve them with a specialised bubble frappe straw. The food you ordered of course didn’t taste like the breakfast wraps you’ve had previously because you ordered the Cajun chicken pizza wrap this time. With regards to moaning about my pay and job to ‘friends’.. I have never done that. I am beyond grateful for my position and none of my ‘friends’ were even present in the store. Your blueberry bubble frappe probably didn’t taste like blueberries because it uses blueberry syrup, which is artificial. Furthermore, the bubbles at the bottom are not tapioca balls and had you ever visited a bubble tea store before, you would know that these bubbles we use give a ‘popping’ sensation and the outer layer resembles plastic to hold the filling in all cases. Please, it’s very distasteful and entitled to post misleading reviews with incorrect and dishonest information in an attempt to belittle somebody else and ruin a companies reputation.

Had the most amazing hot chocolate with plenty of cream and yummy marshmallows. Lovely staff too and a nice place to sit in and watch the world go by.

We have come second time for breakfast but no bread. Less staff always. Floor Cleaning is poor.

Part of the order was out of stock, could we not have been sent something else or have a phone call for this to asks what we can exchange to

Superb service, Emma takes great pride in her work, i go in every morning on my way to work and the quality of the drink i have is second to none, credit also has to go to Mark also, great work by both Emma and Mark.

Visited early morning and it was great,cosy and the staff member that served me was lovely, she seemed to know all the regular people and was very welcoming, the hazelnut Iatte i ordered was amazingly huge and I couldn't finish it but it was delicious though,definitely worth stopping by

Bizarre place, it looks like a costa but is unlike any Costa I’ve ever been to and certainly didn’t taste like a costa. The staff shouting across the place to their friend, moaning about their pay and work. Not experienced any Costa quite as bad as this one.

This particular Costa was really lovely to visit, my girls were very comfortable there and they both can be quite fussy in social situations. Also there only seemed to be one man behind the counter but he handled everything brilliantly and was so so lovely to myself and my girls. It was quite busy at the time aswell most tables were taken up. We will definitely visit again 😊😊

Overall a decent Costa branch, usual quality of coffee etc. The only things that stop it having a five star review is the lack of lunch options and something out of their control- you cannot use the toilets till you've ordered as they have locked number pads on the toilets. I suspect that people have been taking advantage of this being the only building with a toilet on this stretch, but as a mum with a young baby it's off putting sadly.

Visited regularly up until my last visit where 40 mins after finishing my cold sour tasting hot chocolate i proceeded to vomit completely gutted as i was overjoyed at getting a costa locally but have not and will not return

I visited the allenton brach on the 14th July 22 at 8.45 and I must say the women that served me was so abrupt and rude that it's put me off going there again I might suggest that the management spend a bit of money and get the staff some customer service training so that they are ready to face the public. Other than that I must say I do enjoy the mint choc chip drinks that are served and will use other Costa outlets.

Still retains charm of a coffee shop but lap-tops or virtual offices are yet to appear !! Catch it while you can !! Update April '22; Virtual offices still held at bay, enjoy a nice coffee in nice surroundings with pleasant company.

Came to sit in given an takeaway cup as they can’t be bothered to give normal cup not selection of cakes or paninis very ordered food given it in a takeaway package to sit down inside with not a good place at all very shocking!

I ordered 2x New Festive Aero Roads and got given two different muffins that i didn't order, And i ordered a turkey & trimmings Toastie and was only half cooked.

Coffee was lovely as always but toasty was alittle over done for me.

We ordered 3 toasties and they sent us 1 and we ordered 2 brownies and instead they sent us flapjacks. Not happy at all.

Paid for a toastie which you happily took my money yet the receipt said not serving hot food at this time!! Your delivery driver drove past me! TWICE! How hard it is to read the numbers 4 and 9?! They’re not tiny numbers either! And my drink was half empty! I’m not incontinent yet. Disgusting
