Pappas Diner in Derby

I've tried the mixed kebab, chicken and fries, fries and beef burgers. The beef burgers are not bad. They have a really nostalgic flavour to them which I enjoy. The fries are pretty good, crispy and salted with vinegar. The kebab is very good, definitely above average and tasty. I hated the fried chicken in the chicken and fries though. It tasted old. And no sauces included which leaves it dry... Overall, some good options. Of course the pizzas are what people rave about the most so I intend to try them at some point. 3. I tried the mexican way pizza with added jalapenos and it was decent, not the best pizza in derby but definitely not below average. It taste good and was cheesy and a good price.

Lovely tasting food..mixed shish kebab is my favourite there.staff are genuinely friendly and helpful..if ever there's a template..Pappas is it. I'm a regular customer,So I see other regular customers and that tells you everything

Ordered a Panini and it was very dry literally 3 ingredients panini bread, some chicken that was a pizza topping and cheese, also cooked in the pizza oven so it was overcooked and hard. Dissapointing and complete waste of money

Washroom is far to small and definetly needs someone to get their rubber gloves on and give it a good old clean. Once cleaned... needs to be maintained. I know times are hard... but could have done with more chicken on my pizza. Nevertheless it tasted very nice. Good for collection and delivery.

I think papas cheese burgers are the best. I have tried every other fancy burger place and I just like papas burgers

Probably they best pizza in derby. Beats pizza hut and dominos by a mile and for half the cost. Everything is fresh and cooked in front of you. Nice and friendly and if you want to sit in and eat you can.

Papas Diner is a very nice takeaway, there lots of delicious food you can eat, ranging from pizzas to burgers and panini's! I would really recommend this place for people who want something really delicious to eat.

Range order through and went to collect. On arrival he pointed out he had burnt the crust and was that ok? What an I supposed to do - wait another 20 minutes? He knocked a whopping 50p off. Not impressed.

One of the best pizza place in derby.if u not try yet definitely try. If you meat eater try hot any spicy or meat feast or 4 meat. If you vegetarian try spicy veg Any thing you try you will find unique taste Garlic bread with cheez ohhh amazing

Tried Spaghetti Vegetarian. It was very tasty, didn't wait long for it, great value and so satisfying. Great place to stop for a quick bite.

Today I had Chicken and Chips, Just Great? I give 10 out of 10. Will be back.

The hot cabinet for the chicken was broken, so the chicken was sat ice cold in the open air for customers. Guy then microwaved it to dry death. Refused to give a refund when I told him it was inedible after he microwaved it. Looked filthy, toilet was covered in piss and hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Overall, go anywhere but here.

We have been eating here for last 25 years and pappas is pappas food has not dropped in qaulity service just gets better.

Nice food but portions on the small side

I ordered a vegetarian and a Mexican with extra chilli, when I arrived home neither pizza contaned beef. As I was not prepared to drive 8 miles and wait a further 20 minutes both meals were discarded due to the fact that we didn't have a clue what they were. It will be interesting to see what the proprietor has to say about the situation.

Why they are still the best because they don't sell doner nor do they deliver. Recommendatio Spicy veggi pizza with chicken tikka on it. Lamb sheesh kebab in pitta bread. Tagliatelli SFC Must try

I feel so bad leaving this bad review, as the staff were lovely, but the food itself was so overpriced - while they were cooking it I heard one chap query the mixed kebab several times, but I was astonished when i got it home. The chicken and lamb was cooked fine, but for £5.20 I'd expect a lot more food. honestly, I'd usually get a massive naan bread filled with meat and salad, possibly chips, and this was a pathetic pitta. I won't order from here again.

Ordered some pizzas from here and they raw and uncooked. Rang to complain and they completely ignored the fact that the food was uncooked. They offered a discount for a next order but this is the first and last time ordering.

I've had the WORST experience as I've ordered x5 pizza however it was all uncooked. waste of £32. people please do not order from there:(

I used to love this place, and you would think the more you used somewhere the better it would get being a regular customer. But not the case here, someone had the idea that less is more because every time I ordered the toppings became less and less and quality deteriorated so I voted with my feet and decided not go there anymore.

Very good food and great prices! We had just arrived to Derby after a whole day travelling and we walked in to this simple diner starving. Had a pizza and pasta + 2 cans to drink only paid £11! Staff is friendly and approachable, highly recommend for a quick bite.
