Dreadful experience, food was delivered 30 mins late, sauce was congealed and food was cold. Ivy was extremely rude shouting down the phone and told me to go to the Mandarin in future. Obviously I will.

Honestly, don't know why this got a good rep because the food isn't all that good. Firstly, there's not a lot of description of the food online so it's a mystery on what is include in each dish (especially when some of dishes can be up to the chef's choice) Secondly, dishes that do not have a pepper to signify how spicey something would be (chicken curry rolls, korean chicken wings) end up being too spicy. The korean chicken wings tasted like it was made with Gochujang, which is a korean red chilli pepper paste that can be spicy! Their mushrooms with BBQ sauce was also far too salty, too, and the batter for the Sweet & Sour Prawns in batter was soggy and had an unpleasant taste to it. The only things that we somewhat enjoyed was the Roast Pork Udon (which I argue is more veg than pork and udon) and the Wan ton soup. Have yet to try the Chicken Noodle Soup we've gotten, and I'm a little reluctant to do so in case it's not as I hoped. Heard greats things about their food, but we're severely disappointed about their food. Especially for the price we paid for.

We have had a takeaway this evening and it was very nice. The salt&pepper chicken wings were crispy and the coating was light, the topping fresh. Beef curry and boiled rice the beef was cooked perfectly and no horrible grizzly bits and the sauce lovely and thick. Mixed meat Sambal chowmein full of meat little bit of heat just enough. Can't fault anything. Would definitely recommend. The person taking the order was very polite too.

Fast food in Helensburgh can be competitive however I felt that on this occasion the Magic Wok deserved 5 stars. Special Fried Rice, quick, well priced and tasty 😀

This is the best Chinese in Helensbrugh easily but they changed the recipe for their mozzarella cheese stuffed salt and pepper chicken and made it FAR to spicy. Will not reorder until that is fixed and back to normal. I like spice, but they have now made it ghost pepper, Carolina reaper level spicy, for no reason. Will get to number 1 again when that is fixed. Just is not good for general consumers making such a signature dish that spicy unless specifically asked for, it's the main reason we use them too, it's their edge above competitors, will try somewhere else next time.

Great takeaway, highly recommended. Good food and really nice people. If you ask very nicely, in advance, they may even make you an authentic Malaysian curry, not on the menu, which is both spicy and delicious.

Crispy chicken satay not bad but not crispy at all. Satay sauce pretty average. Chicken noodle soup very bland. Ribs not good as one was just complete fat and no meat. Mozzarella chicken didn’t even have mozzarella in it. Was some sort of cream cheese. Very disappointed from somewhere with somehow good reviews.

We totally enjoyed our chicken chow main and chicken curry. Very tasty.

Dissapointed with my meal the satay sauce was horrible just tasted of peanuts onions were massive not cut properly wont be orderin again

Although we have restricted ourselves to sharing a Chicken Satay Starter with Curry Sauce with Onion and Fried Rice with Crispy Beef with separate Mandarin Sauce and Plain Noodles, the standard of the food is excellent.
