Friendly staff and delicious food

Staying at Loch Long Hotel and seen this spot. Checked the reviews but needed have bothered. From opening the door you are made welcome straight away, menu on the board and the food is absolutely outstanding. Do not pass this place without even trying the scones......but the full breakfast.....wow

Greetings from Idaho! The Arrochar Tearoom was a wonderful quaint stop on our way up to Glencoe. The food was delicious and the service was great! The owner (Michael) was kind enough to take time to converse with us tourists. Would definitely visit again!

Very nice little restaurant to regain your strength in the middle of the “three lochs” hike. Very nice owner.

Michael very welcoming visited with my partner this morning will be returning asap to sample the wagyu beef burger. Venues like Arrochar tea room need our support as their season is short (7) months

2.80£ for a wee bottle of water. I won’t go again not even if close to dying. It’s a shame there are no water points in the all area

Lovely wee tea room, basic paninis and toasties and a lovely selection of cake loafs , scones and tray bake. Generous portions Owner was very friendly and overall a lovely experience.

Great wee tea room. Great service and chat from management and staff. Dark wood tables and chairs in a small room gives the room a tight feeling. Very small toilet with wash hand basin outside the toilet room. Cake ordered was amazing best banana loaf I've ever tasted. Outside three tables all with three chairs on a very narrow pavement next to an extremely busy road. Parking is away from the premises on the other side of the road. I wish this wee place well. In a different location I think this wee place would be amazing. But with the back view I understand why they stay where they are.

If you want good fresh homely food. Then it ticks all the boxes

Very unhygienic with a small dog owned by the waitress bring allowed to jump onto the table and adjacent seating. Slow service too.

Brillaitn staff here, all super-friendly and the owner was very happy to share recommendations of what to do in the area. Dog-friendly, as long as your dog gets along with Hamish, the resident dog, who is very cute and friendly - will ask for strokes!

Arrochar Tea Room is a fantastic spot! We enjoyed delicious coffees and tasty paninis while listening to great music. The best part is that it's super dog-friendly. Highly recommend stopping by!

Lovely little place we'll worth calling into scenery is amazing also

4 pounds for one expresso, which was not an expresso but filtered coffe ; we stayed 1h30 to read and we were asked 4 times to order more, although we had one scone and 3 "expressos" : not recommended !

Visited today whilst passing through. Enjoyed a nice cuppa and the mars bar cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious!! Owner is very friend, and his wee dog Hamish is adorable. Will definitely be back.

This small local business had a fair selection of food options for lunch or coffee and cakes. Not sure what the options would be for someone with specific dietary requirements but got the feeling that the kitchen would fo their best to accommodate. We had the very tasty wago beef burger.

When I read the negative reviews here I completely agree. The owner is nice, but from his reactions to these negative reactions you can read that he is very defensive, while all these people have a point: it is too expensive for the quality that is delivered. The interior and tableware could use an upgrade to give the place a bit more class and if the owner would just take the criticism to heart and improve the quality without raising the prices even more, it would make a difference. For example, by improving the quality of the bread (the toppings are excellent) and the coffee. I ate much fancier in the area and with much more quality for the same price or even slightly less. So don't just respond with excuses, listen to your customers

Very nice and cosy place with good food and warming drinks. While we were talking with the owner about our camping trip, he offered to bring us to his favorite camping spot after closing time. He drove us for half an hour just out of kindness. Such an amazing person!

Was in Arrochar from Friday to Monday and had breakfast here every morning, will be back next time in the area

Everything was very basic including the food..except the Stornoway black pudding..wish I could say the same for the price..£18 for a breakfast each.all came on a small plate..

Great service and the cakes were incredible. Prices were on the higher side, however, I can understand the reason for this. Arrochar is a small place and probably relies heavily on tourism. There isn't much there either so businesses probably have to charge accordingly.

A bit pricey but very welcoming after a long walk.

Not the best place I've been but not the worst. The prices are too high for what you get. I got a roll and bacon and it was tiny, seemed like it was bought from Asda. The guy serving was really nice though.

Fab little place, stopped in on Sunday morning for breakfast, place was empty but filled up quickly. Food on the pricier side but worth it for the quality. 1 star deducted for 3 pieces of toast, weird I know but 3 was a strange number!

Browsing my timeline from several years ago and noticed I didn't write a review. Needless to say it left a good impression as I prepared for a long drive to Peterhead.

Charming little place next to Loch Long with delicious food and lovely staff. Don't forget to try the home-made scones and cakes!

Food was average, prices were extremely high for what you got. Gluten free slice of cake was OK but still frozen in the middle. Waiter wouldn't go and find out any information about allergens in food because he didn't have time, so just gave us 1 gluten free option to have (which was a panini, at breakfast time, rather than any of the breakfast menu so not what we really wanted).

We really enjoyed our coffees and AMAZING scones! The scones were so yummy and best blueberry jam we have ever eaten. A great cafe, thanks for keeping us comfy and dry from the rain!

Situated at the head of Loch Long in Arrochar, we were extremely fortunate to have a fantastic view down the loch. Please note, however, very few of the tables have a view. We had a cream tea. The scone was homemade, as was the jam. Both were delicious. The service was very good despite the owner being on his own. Very good communication and friendly manner. The only slight downsides are the close proximity to the road and very limited parking, though many customers will be walking in this stunning countryside. Would certainly call again when next in the area.

We enjoyed a coffee and cake in this family owned tea room on our arrival into Arrochar. The owner and girl waitress were friendly and polite. We will definitely visit again on our return to the beautiful loch long.

Perfect place to stop off for a soup, cake and some hot drinks! Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was cosy and relaxing. Will definitely be stopping by next time i’m passing!

£26.00 for two Cappuccinos, a cheese and onion toastie and a cheese and haggis panini. Daylight robbery. I would seriously avoid as it’s overpriced and lacks quality. We left feeling numb at these non advertised prices. It’s Scotland not Dubai!! Never again.

Great chat with old mate here , warm welcome great service and a really decent burger 🍔 ! Highly recommend this little spot. I see other reviews about prices but it’s a holiday destination and it’s a touristy spot on the loch i mean manage your expectations and celebrate these small businesses that aren’t franchises and lose all their character.

Worst place to eat or drink in Arrocher. Small portions, huge prices. And you will see from the owners response to other criticisms below that the customer service is also poor. Avoid at all cost. Got a squashed mini burger, bout 5 soggy crips, some brown lettuce, can and coffee not much change from £20! Update from owner response. This simply is not true. 190g! That’s almost half a pound 😂. Skin on fries? That the golden wonder ready salted ones? Maybe you have changed the menu but don’t tell me what I was served as it is not what you stated below.

Stopped in from other reviews and was not disappointed. The owner was extremely friendly and the service was great. We ordered a couple of burgers and they were a good size and delicious. They accommodated my no bread version aka ‘naked’ request. Ordered a takeaway coffee to take on the road and that was also better than expected. The views just outside are amazing. Certainly recommend if you’re going past or make the trip for a good meal and friendly service

Lovely panini, stuffed with plenty of veg; perfect light lunch when rain drove us off the hills. Single-handed service was fine! Very friendly place.

Quirky little tea room. The chap running it needs an assistant as he had a large family at another table, so he took a while to get our food out. The breakfast bap was tasty, but condiments etc would have been nice with it!

Delicious home-made cakes, carrot cake was one of the best we’ve ever had! Friendly service and the coffee was great too. Some reviews mention the prices are high, but I’d say it was worth every penny :)

Most expensive tea room ever. 6 cups of coffee and two cans of pop £34. Think we got the tourist rates. 3 flat whites, 2 cappuccino, and a double espresso plus two cokes.

Adorable petit salon de thé qui sert des gâteaux fait maison dans de la jolie vaisselle. Le propriétaire est très sympathique. J'ai seulement regretté l'absence de jus de fruit frais.

Stopped in for a cuppa while on my walk. Made the bold mistake of fetching my own carrot cake. Proprietor gave me a good ribbing over it but he forgave me. Lovely little shop.

I've been here several times over the years and returned to the area for work and it's still the Friendliest and only place to get a Great Coffee.. Mike the owner is always welcoming and his Four legged meet and greeter Hamish is the best.. I have not eaten here yet but that's definitely on the cards soon..

Nice wee tea room, but the prices are heavy expensive. Microwaved bacon on a dry roll and a small coffee £7.35. Spotted a fry up on the menu for £17.50 incase the Sultan of Brunei happens to visit.

Very nice and cosy cafe! The owner is really friendly and the food selection is really good, with plenty of cakes :D The soups are homemade and delicious, and with veggie options! Definitely the best place to go before or after a hike.

Called in today before our drive back home made to feel welcome and a superb all day breakfast and coffee.

We called in for lunch and between us enjoyed butternut squash and ginger soup and a black pudding roll. The staff were very welcoming. We couldn't tear ourselves away without trying some of the delicious cakes as well.

Expensive, the staff were lovely but £5 for a dry cake isn't for me.

Food was good but a tad expensive for a Tea room. £4 for a takeaway tuna salad roll is pushing it.

Wunderschöne gemütliche Teestube mit hübschem Geschirr, selbstgebackenen Kuchen und einem sehr netten Besitzer der auch mal Zeit für einen Plausch findet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Cooles Café in cooler Lage. Wir sind in dieses Café 2x zur Teezeit eingekehrt weil uns beim ersten Besuch der selbstgemachte Kuchen so gut geschmeckt hat. Auch beim zweiten Mal wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Der Betreiber ist überaus Nett und bedient recht schnell. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
