We were delighted to come across Coasters Bistro & Bar while we were visiting Oban this autumn. The food is delicious, with a seasonal menu, the service flawless, the venue full of charm with a truly comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Casual dining taken to a high standard! After a long car journey we arrived at our to hotel to be told that there was a power outage. We had to find our own meals for that evening. After a quick Google search, we found Coasters, a phone call later we had reserved our table. They were more than happy for our three Shelties to come along too! During our visit it became our favourite place to go. Highly recommended.

Really pleasant lady on arrival attentive throughout are visit. Food was very nice and extremely reasonable compared to the other restaurants we have dined in with on holiday in Oban. The only thing that was missing was a little heat and music ☺️

Went for lunch and it was great staff very helpful great table with veiw over the bay got binocolurs from bar to use great service and the food was fabby aa well ad menu they have speicals as well you must vist when in oban will be making a spot her when back in oban 5*

Used to be a great wee pub but has now turned into a restaurant/ coffee shop.

We had an unexpectedly great dinner here. It's pub fare, but it's really really good pub fare! I had the steak pie and my wife had the burger and both were excellent and huge portions. The whiskey bread pudding at the end was a great way to top it off. The two ladies running the bar provided friendly and fast table service. A very enjoyable dinner.

We went for a drink, had a small bar but is more geared up for food and sit down meals. Can't complain though.

Excellent food and service. Went in for a drink as we were staying in the appartments next door ended up booking that night for food. Reasonably priced and plenty to choose from so much so we returned a couple of days later for more. Friendly staff and very attentive.

Menu has the usual suspects plus some very good specials. The service was super friendly. Recommended.

This was our first visit to Coasters and we absolutely loved it. It has one of the best mac and cheeses I've ever had and the chips were amazing. Friendly service and atmosphere and the music is fab

Visited Oban for a few days. Coasters was a spur of the moment for dinner on the 1st day, even though we hadn't booked, was no trouble getting us a table. Food was absolutely delicious and would certainly recommend anybody to go try it

Pet friendly staff welcoming. Proper pub food at lunchtime and for family that are not sea food lovers in oban it was exactly what we would have wanted. The biscoff cheesecake special was a dream!

Food for the soul! Great food and setting directly on Oban harbor. You’ll need a reservation on the weekend but 100% worth it!! I had steak pie and my he had breaded Sole. Yummy!!

Stopped for a drink here - good selection of drinks, great vibe and just overlooking the beautiful seafront. I left my backpack here by mistake, complete with wallet, souvenirs, everything. When I came back on the next (Sunday) morning to look, the lovely staff had kept it safe for me and it was returned with everything intact. Faith in humanity restored!

I would just like to say that we went for lunch at coasters yesterday and the food was absolutely sensational. The service was so good and prices fantastic. Well will definitely be back there

Absolutely love this wonderful which we found by accident and what a find. Dinner last evening, breakfast this morning and dinner again this evening. Can’t fault a thing very friendly service and wonderful food. If my husband and I visit Oban again we will definitely return to this little gem .

Fantastic place for a meal - lovely view, tasty food, great playlist, but the star of the show was definitely Kerry! She was the only person taking orders, serving food and taking payments during a packed lunch rush, and she managed to stay on top of all that while still being one of the friendliest and most welcoming waiters I’ve ever met. 5 stars overall, and an additional 5 stars for Kerry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place for lunch. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The burger was tasty. I loved the hashbrown inside. They’re dog-friendly, which was important to me. They even offer binoculars for enjoying the view

Kind and super-friendly staff and probably the best mussels I've ever eaten (the other meals were very good too). Our wee one was given pencils and something to draw. 👍 Will definitely come here again when I am in Oban.

Perfect pub grub. Great spot right on the esplanade with nothing too fancy but great pub style food, excellent service and a view. Recommend booking as we were lucky to get a table as walk ins. We had the breaded Brie to start and then a steak pie each. Great way to end a day after eating nothing but seafood.

Always a local favourite for freshly prepared food. Servex with a smile and a lovely view of Oban Bay if you get a table by the window. The menu is good and they also offer breakfast too.

Soggy watery scrumbled eggs and raw not fresh salmon 🍣. I refused to have it. Service was lovely tho, and git a refund

Nice food and drinks. Very sweet and helpful staff. Absolutely enjoyed our meal. Took a photo half way of my eating, and forgot to take a photo of the dessert. But it’s really very nice. 😄

The service was good, seated quickly, order taken quickly and delivered quickly. But the food, in our opinion, was not very tasty: the shrimp bowl was covered with a continuous layer of mayonnaise sauce and some other seasoning; the taste of the shrimp was almost not felt. The burger was mediocre, if we had not added a piece of cheese, it would have been just meat and a bun, the potatoes with it were not tasty at all, the cutlet itself was juicy, but if we had added cheese, tomato, cucumbers, onions, it would have been completely different case.

Fab breakfast, very good value for money & excellent soundtrack. Keep it up

Great food (burger) good service

The dinner we had here was Amazing. All of the food had so much flavor. We are from out of town but it seemed like a place where the locals go. The staff were very friendly. I have never had a sandwich quite like the chicken Ranch burger, but it was delicious! And the Mac and cheese was divine!

We decided to have dinner at Coasters and didn't regret it. Honestly, we were positively surprised. The waiter was SO friendly, and the food amazing. The chicken burger was the best I ever had.

I always read reviews before I step through the door, and I have to say: I really don't understand the bad ones. We just had dinner here, the service was amazing, the food awesome, pretty affordable as well... Great place to eat, wholeheartedly recommend. The chicken burger was a true delight.

Great place for breakfast (or other meal) with a view looking out at the water. The employee was very kind and patient. They ask you pay in cash to avoid all the credit fees on their side.

A NO vote .We went for a full breakfast. The front man said : have a seat, coffee is here, help yourself. Haggis and black pudding were dry without any taste, Tomato cold. In general if you expect good quality food and not be robbed - do not go there. You have to pay extra for tosts ( two tosts £2.50) and they charge you for the coffee too 👏😁 Yep - Go to Spain and allow that local economy to sink.

Went here for drinks one evening, and then returned for breakfast the next day. Staff are really good and friendly. Prices are ok and the breakfast was delicious. It's in a great location with super views, and they even have binoculars you can use for a more detailed view of the sights

Oban is busy in summer and not somewhere you expect to be surprised by quality. Coasters has a chef that understands flavour and great beer. What more is needed for a great holiday meal.

This place was wonderful and the food was delicious. I must mention, Shona was waiting on people for food and drink, and she was a superwoman. She waited on nearly 15 to 20 people and continued to check up on people as dinner continued without missing anyone. Fantastic food, drinks, and service.

Just a quaint and unassuming bistro overlooking Oban bay. The staff is superlovely and the food is great.

I accompanied a friend to eat here, good food (I only tasted it) the options on the menu include fresh local food and dishes of the day. The environment is aesthetically pleasing and the guys in the room are very kind and polite. Comfortable environment, bathrooms and furniture ok, they also serve alcohol. The place has very nice sea view and parking nearby. Not too loud, quiet music and Christmas decorations this time of year ✨

Restaurant located on the port of Oban, a coastal town in Scotland. We went there for dinner. No welcome. From far behind the bar a girl beckons me to go sit down. We wait and wait, nothing. 2 girls behind the bar are talking, the cook comes out of the kitchen, comes to chat with the girls at the bar, but no one takes care of us. We decide to leave, without having had dinner or speaking to anyone! This is the first time in our entire holiday in Scotland that we have been treated like this. They are not professionals. You are a disgrace to your city, Oban! And finally we had dinner at CUAN MOR, great! Real pros!
